OK, people, here we go with the character introductions (such as they are). Please remember that all characters are subject to change. Especially when they piss off the writers.
1.KYLE TONAMI
AGE: 24
SEX: MALE
SPECIES: HUMAN
OCCUPATION: GAMBLER
CHARACTER: Kyle is the unofficially disowned prince of Vuralya. I say unofficially because his father has no other children and does not wish to have the throne in dispute in the event of his death. So even though he disapproves of his son's gambling, lecherous ways he can not safely disown him. So instead Kyle has been told to leave the kingdom, and announce to no one his identity. He doesn't always follow rule however, "Well dear, I'm really a prince. Why don't we go to the broom closet; I'll show you my royal scepter." ("You think that'll work for me?"-Kris) ("Dunno, try it with Karen"-Danny)*SLAP* ("Guess not."-Kris) but really, Kyle is quite the socialite and has a vast number of contacts on several continents. For a few years he traveled with a Goloc (Kobold) Ninja and learned the Ninja throwing techniques of focusing chi to give common small object incredible speed.
SKILLS: High agility, fast, very accurate, but no magic and kind of weak.
WEAPONS AND ARMOR: Soft armor only (i.e.: leather, cloth, kevlar…), uses thin fencing swords, and small objects (cards, darts, dice, marbles…).
NOTES: Yes, he IS the main character.
2.KARYN SELORIA
AGE: 19
SEX: FEMALE
SPECIES: NIKORAN
OCCUPATION: DIPLOMAT
CHARACTER: Karyn is a diplomat for the Nikoran empire, and the former princess. Since Nikoran society is patriarchal she could never had ascended the throne, In fact she it is just because she is the princess that she has the rank of diplomat at all. Her father was recently assassinated, by a young dissonant, and she had vowed to find him and kill him. Her younger brother is now on the throne, though he is only a puppet ruler to her uncle the regent. Recently there has been talk of the Nikoran Empire Allying with the Orkish Liberation Army, A group of Low- Ork terrorists seeking to destroy the orkish hierarchy. Karyn is strongly opposed to this. She is recently been appointed as the ambassador to Vuralya .
SKILLS: High agility, good speed, but she isn't very strong or accurate.
WEAPONS AND ARMOR: She wears robes and uses staves, rods, and wands.
OFFENSIVE MAGIC: none
DEFENSIVE MAGIC: Various healing spells.
3.K'RAI
AGE: OVER 200
SEX: MALE
SPECIES: PERMANENT WEREWOLF
OCCUPATION: NONE
CHARACTER: Cursed for over a century, shunned by others, K'rai wanders the countryside as a vagabond without a home. He is a loner because he is not human. He was a knight 200 years ago whom King Juan Tonami, the great-great grandfather of Kyle, exiled. Juan was a great tyrant and all around religious freak. K'rai was one of his lackeys until he was bitten by a werewolf in battle. He returned to the castle in the hope of being cured. Juan, however, saw his demonic visage and ordered him executed. K'rai fought his way out and has since felt great hatred for the Tonami family. He joins the group not knowing Kyle's heritage.
SKILLS: Extraordinary Magic and Strength. He has slightly above average agility. Resistance to Cold and Darkness magic. Learns Magic at an extremely rapid pace.
WEAPONS/ARMOR: Can use any armor except shields and helmets. Does not use any weapons except his natural ones (fangs and claws).
OFFENSIVE MAGIC: Weak to Extreme offensive spells of all elements.
DEFENSIVE MAGIC: None except Shields and Barriers.
4.YURIKO TEIKO
AGE: 27
SEX: FEMALE
SPECIES: HUMAN
OCCUPATION: ASSASSIN
CHARACTER: Yuriko is a mercenary assassin; she holds no alliances. Works for anyone, so long as his money's good. She is known as the finest assassin in the world; if she has a target, he/she is as good as dead. On the other hand, she will only take certain targets, for her own reasons. No known family except for an uncle who taught her the fine art of assassination. She is a very cold person (our resident psychiatrist, Danny, calls her a cold, unfeeling bitch. He thinks its because of upbringing. Then again, our medical specialist, Kris, thinks it might be a REALLY long case of severe P.M.S.). She ends up joining the group because Kyle saves her from being hit by a horseless carriage or a train or something (" Give us time, we only have so many writers!"-Kris). She ends up falling in love with Kyle ("Why? Obvious reasons… wouldn't you fall in love with someone who saved your life? OK, OK maybe YOU wouldn't…"-Kris). Oh, yeah, the same master trained her and the ratboy. She actually has the potential of becoming a really cool character, but knowing the person typing, she might end up as crispy critters ("I don't think so"-Danny, head writer).
SKILLS: Extraordinary Luck, Speed, and Agility.
WEAPONS/ARMOR: Small daggers, assassination weapons (such as throwing stars). May only use light armor of flexible material (i.e. leather, scale armor).
OFFENSIVE MAGIC: Extremely potent spells learned at a slow rate; use up most of her MP.
DEFENSIVE MAGIC: Spells for agility, speed, light defense.
5.KEVIN GALCOR
AGE: 57
SEX: MALE
SPECIES: HUMAN
OCCUPATION: PRIEST
CHARACTER: Kevin is a high priest who runs a church in the Nikoran Empire. He served Karyn's father well, and joins the party in order to watch over of the young princess. He was born and bred a priest; when he became of age, he traveled the world, returned to Nikora, and has been preaching ever since. Kevin is a kind old man who wishes to continue serving the empire in any way he can. His wry sense of humor endears him to his masses. He cares deeply for the princess. She is the reason why he ends up joining ("That, and maybe something else…"-Kris) ("Like what?"-Danny) ("I'm not really sure yet… and what are you doing here? I'm writing!"-Kris) ("Why do I feel like forces are conspiring against me?"-Danny) (from the distance, you can hear Kris laughing maniacally).
SKILLS: Can call upon the God for power.
WEAPONS/ARMOR: Can wear any type of armor, but will not use any weapons; rather, he calls upon his god for power (energy bolts).
OFFENSIVE MAGIC: Priestly (Lightning and Light spells).
DEFENSIVE MAGIC: Priestly (Lightning and Light spells). They're stronger than his offensive magic.
UNIQUE ABILITY: Holy. Random lightning or light spell, from Weak to Extreme.
6.SARA ("SOMETHING OR ANOTHER, HAVEN'T THOUGHT OF ANYTHING THAT FITS YET"-K.)
AGE: 97 (see below)
SEX: FEMALE
SPECIES: ELF
OCCUPATION: SINGER
CHARACTER: Born and raised in a small town, Sara sings in various places, from nightclubs to professional stages. One of her talents is the ability to generate energy from her songs; this energy affects what she wishes it to. She has shown this ability to no one, not her family, nor her friends. She's very outspoken and tries to make friends with everyone, but is kind of touchy, esp. when it comes to her singing. She won't get along with ratboy that's for sure ("I don't much like her singing either."-Kris and Danny).
SKILLS: High Luck and Extraordinary charisma.
WEAPONS/ARMOR: Can use any armor except helmets. Uses a light spear.
OFFENSIVE MAGIC: Weak to moderate Water-elemental DEFENSIVE MAGIC: None
NOTES: You may have notices she's 97 (!) years old. Her species, the elves, tend to live very long lives; she would be about 20-something to humans. Except for slightly elongated ears and an extraordinary respect for singing, they appear to be normal humans.
UNIQUE ABILITY: Song. Separate menu ability. All songs affect all of party intended (either you zap all of them, or all of you.)
7.WILKS KILSON
AGE: 34
SEX: MALE
SPECIES: HUMAN
OCCUPATION: RACKETEER
CHARACTER: Wilks is what you would call a one man, um, ah, "Collection Agency". He is the one responsible for removing Kyle's eye. He joins the party for a short time after saving Karyn from a mugger. The guy jumped her to pay him back anyway. Wilks does not fit your normal stereotype of a loan shark. He's quite intelligent and well read, he could be a teacher if it wasn't for the fact that he loves his job. He's a really nice guy and likes Kyle, despite the fact that he gouged his eye out with a spoon, but hay "Business is business" at that time he was working for the same man that Kyle was giving gambling advice, so it really wasn't anything personal.
SKILLS: High strength and accuracy, but he's too damn slow. (This'll give Kyle a chance to run his silly ass out of there.)
WEAPONS AND ARMOR: He has a tendency not to use armor (as if he weren't slow enough), and he uses most blunt instruments (you know, clubs, staves, sawed off pool cues, tree branches, spoons…)
SPECIAL ABILITIES: Cripple- He goes up to the enemy and whacks 'em with something in the knee caps (or other, more sensitive places). This makes them unable to do anything physical for the rest of the battle. Only works about half the time, though.
8.AXLE
AGE: 26
SEX: MALE
SPECIES: HUMAN
OCCUPATION: GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL
CHARACTER: His father having succumbed to the plague some time back, Axle is the current baron of the M'trusha estate, an occupation he does NOT relish. He has numerous sisters, cousins, uncles, and the like, all living in a large fortified castle near the really big mountains on the northern continent. ("I know, I know, he seems like another Kyle kind of, but trust me, he's different"-K) They have a rather competitive monarchy up there, with everyone always trying to poison everyone else. (Did the plague REALLY do in his father? Or was it his Mom? We'll all find out someday) . Axle doesn't really like royalty (he considers them a bunch of pompous jackasses), which is why he likes to wander around.
SKILLS: Very, very good with his blade (a thick but somewhat stubby two-handed sword.).
WEAPONS/ARMOR: The Vuralyan blade is his only weapon. Cannot use any shields, as his sword requires both hands. Can use any other armor.
NOTES: Because he owns a seaport estate, once he joins, you have access to the port and free passage to any other seaport town. While he leads your party in M'trusha, you get a 50% discount on all items.
UNIQUE ABILITY: Slash. (Think Shoryuken with a sword.) Requires one action time to concentrate then charges his target. This attack not only does more damage than a regular attack, it can hit more than one target; they simply have to be kind of close together. For each target hit, the damage increases slightly. He's also immune to poison attacks. (you would be too if you grew up in his kingdom.)
9.LORI ELINFORD
AGE: 17
SEX: FEMALE
SPECIES: ELF
OCCUPATION: NONE
CHARACTER: Lori spends much of her time with Kevin, studying the religion of the God. Because she is a psychic, she is regarded with some fear from the locals, although most are familiar with her (through Kevin). She is usually a very nice person, but don't get her mad at you, she'll kick your ass ("You think Lori'll be mad?"-Danny) ("Don't worry about it"-Kris) (note to the people reading this: the day after Lori saw this, we found Kris in a shallow ditch about five miles out of town. Don't worry, he'll be OK -Danny).
SKILLS: High agility, resistance to Affecting magic (Sleep, Charm, etc. see Notes)
WEAPONS/ARMOR: Although she can use armor of any material, she cannot use anything too heavy. She uses a long, light sword.
OFFENSIVE MAGIC: Fire-elemental, weak to extreme (much, much later.).
DEFENSIVE MAGIC: Weak physical shields.
UNIQUE ABILITY: Separate menu ability. Learned from other psychics.

This doesn't really count as a "Unique Ability", but once Lori's HP goes below ¾, she goes berserk and starts kicking the crap out of everyone.
10.MASAJIMI FUJIKAWA (A.K.A.: RATBOY)
AGE: 30
SEX: MALE
SPECIES: GOLOC
OCCUPATION: THIEF
CHARACTER: Ratboy is a master ninja, but he prefers to use his abilities to steal from people instead of helping them. He is kind of anti-social, but deep down inside he has a heart of gold (although if he knew that, he'd try to find some way to steal it). Poor little Masajimi is obsessed with shiny valuable things (he's not stupid; he can tell the difference between a can and a necklace). Don't forget, he is still a master ninja. He trained with Yuriko under the same master. He thinks of her as a complete asshole, and he loves her like one. ("If we can't kill Yuriko, can we kill him?"-Kris) ("No, well, maybe."-Danny) Ratboy taught Kyle all of the throwing abilities that he knows (after Kyle caught him reaching into his pocket, that is). This was something his master specifically told him NOT to do (guess who's going to get the crap kicked out of him if his master finds out…). He eventually became a good friend of Kyle's and helps him whenever he gets in trouble…. Which, Ratboy found out, is pretty often.
SKILLS: Extremely high agility, and a very fast person ("Which means, in game terms, when you decide to run, he goes first"-Kris). Unfortunately, his strength is only average.
SPECIAL ABILITIES: Would you be very surprised if I told you that his special ability is to steal from the enemies? How about if I said that his other ability is to assassinate? Didn't think so. -Kris
(Oh, yeah, almost forgot)
WEAPONS AND ARMOR: He only uses light armor and he fights with all sorts of large blades ("Well large for him, he's only about 3 or 4 feet tall…"-Kris)
11.TIM, THE ENGINEER
AGE: 20
SEX: MALE
SPECIES: HUMAN
OCCUPATION: ("Do I REALLY have to put something here?"-Kris)
CHARACTER: When Tim was young, he felt the calling to become an engineer. As a birthday gift, his parents bought him a chemistry set… chaos ensued. Now, older and wiser (well not much), Tim explores the world in search of new things to take apart (and maybe put back together again). He also searches for the way to understand that most complex of machines: women (if you can't guess, Tim don't get along well with girls). He hangs around Axle because a) he thinks Axle knows more about girls and b) he KNOWS Axle has more than enough money to fund his next (disastrous) project.
SKILLS: Tim is average in everything... except intelligence and dexterity. He's really smart and he's really clumsy.
WEAPONS AND ARMOR: Tim wears regular clothes, although he can wear almost anything that's not too heavy ("Doesn't that kind of disqualify almost anything?"-Kris) ("Don't let the players know that!"-Danny). For weapons, he uses clubs (rulers), daggers (screwdrivers), swords (saws), and, well, you get the general idea.
SPECIAL ABILITIES: Tim will invent new items in the course of the game. ("How? Don't ask me, I only work here."-Kris)
12.JAMES
AGE: ("You're not REALLY going to ask me to type out all them zeros are you?"-Kris)
SEX: ("Don't know. Why don't you ask him?"-K)
SPECIES: FORMER GOD
OCCUPATION: BUM
CHARACTER: In the days of the ancient gods, James was pretty powerful. Unfortunately for him, he wasn't very popular. As soon as they got a chance, they kicked his ass out of that place where gods live. He fell down to this world, but he could no longer use all of his powers (seems as a prank, the God of Bad Humor blocked his powers). Not having ANY useful skills and being too proud to go to night school, James spent millennia on the streets, telling everyone that he was a god (As you might guess, the people with the white coats are looking for him). He meets the group when Tim, the naïve one, believed his story and tried to reactivate his powers. He got some back, but Tim couldn't do much about his appearance and smell (especially after the machine malfunctioned and blew up.)
SKILLS: James is average in everything.
WEAPONS AND ARMOR: All he has are his really old clothes, but the stench is enough to scare away most bad guys. For a weapon, he uses his fists.
OFFENSIVE MAGIC: He has very strong magic after Tim "fixes" him. ("Not like that!"-K)
DEFENSIVE MAGIC: Same as above.
13.BOB
AGE: 47
SEX: ("He's an Orc, do you REALLY want to look?"-Danny)
SPECIES: ("After reading what Danny said, you should know by now."-Kris)
OCCUPATION: COAL BARON
CHARACTER: Bob ain't the average orc. Not in the original sense at least. Bob is sophisticated, intelligent, refined, in fact, more so that most humans. Thing is, most Humans don't believe this. He owns most of the coalmines on orcish lands, on which he works his peasants and slaves. He joins the group when he gets orcnapped by Yuriko. She decides to use him as a hostage to get the group of off orcish land and ("Don't you think you're giving too much away?"-Danny) ("Oh, yeah, huh?"-Kris).
SKILLS: Bob has low speed, but he is agile and strong. He's also very accurate.
WEAPONS AND ARMOR: Bob prefers nice suits to armor, but he will use blades and clubs (i.e. walking stick) if need be.
DEFENSIVE MAGIC: A lot of agility increasing spells.
SPECIAL ABILITIES: Reposte- when ever he gets attacked, he automatically retaliates.
14.BILBO BAGGINS ("Just to break that unlucky 13"-Kris)
15.BALIF
AGE: 29
SEX: MALE
SPECIES: HUMAN
OCCUPATION: KNIGHT
CHARACTER: Balif is the quintessential knight. He believes in honor, loyalty, chivalry, and paying for the woman at a restaurant ("You mean you don't?!"-Karen) ("Of course not; the woman should always pay!"-Kris) (the loud echo of Karen's fist hitting Kris's face can be heard for miles around). Balif doesn't really like Kyle. This is mainly because of the way that Kyle acts. Balif doesn't really approve of gambling and wenching. He also disapproves of the way that Kyle disapproves of his father ("I think I got that right"-Kris). They won't get along well at first, but, as in most stories, they'll probably become friends by the end. Maybe.
SKILLS: Balif has a lot of strength and agility, but he isn't very agile.
WEAPONS AND ARMOR: He uses heavy plate armor and really big swords.
SPECIAL ABILITIES: Balif has a variety of things he can do ("Well, I can't think of any thing right now."-Kris).
16.JANE KRYSIANICA
AGE: 24
SEX: FEMALE
SPECIES: HUMAN
OCCUPATION: WARRIOR
CHARACTER: Jane is a very tough and resourceful woman. She thrives on challenge and lives for the adventure. She once encountered Kyle in a bar, where he promptly tried to hit an her and get her into the sack ("Hell, I'd try that too."-Kris) ("Oh, you would, would you?"-Karen) (*SLAP*). He didn't succeed (to say the least). Jane vowed to hurt him the next time she saw him. She is a mercenary and will usually work for whoever can promise the most money and adventure.
SKILLS: Jane is strong, agile, and fast.
WEAPONS AND ARMOR: She has a tendency to use light chain mail. Her weapon of choice is the long sword, although she is also very good with a sword.
SPECIAL ABILITIES: Jane has a special strike that can hit all the enemies with significant damage once she gets to a certain level.
17.FREDRICK LINALIAN
AGE: 31
SEX: MALE
SPECIES: HUMAN
OCCUPATION: MERCENARY
CHARACTER: Fredrick is a gunsmith. They are a very special class of warrior. The skills of a gunsmith have been passed down from father to son for centuries. Outsiders have never been privy to the secrets of the gunsmith. Gunsmiths who have told the secrets have been hunted down and slaughtered, as have been the people who learned the secrets. People are after Fredrick to learn his secrets. He fled his hometown and has been on the run ever since. He is a very noble person (although not quite as much as Sir Balif) who only wants to live a peaceful life. Fredrick will usually seek refuge in places where he believes that he will not get others hurt. Hiding in a band of adventurers has always been a great place for him to hide.
SKILLS: Fredrick is very fast and accurate. Too bad he ain't very agile or strong.
WEAPONS AND ARMOR: Fredrick wears any kind of light armor (leather, kevlar…). For a weapon, he uses a gun. He'll start with a small gun, but if he can find them, he can get shot guns, auto machine guns ("Wait'll you see the nukes, heh,heh,heh." -Kris) ("NONONONONONONONONONONO!!!!"-Danny).
OFFENSIVE MAGIC: The special gunsmith skill that everyone is in a big huff about is the ability to magically make bullets! It costs 2 MP for every bullet made! Fred should spend his bullets wisely.
SPECIAL ABILITIES: Fredrick's special ability is to unload all the bullets in his gun in one round, which deals massive damage to the enemy.
