Oscar was a long time friend of Nick's who died on New Year's Eve. I didn't know him personally, though I did see him at Slim's where he worked. It surprised me when I learned about his death from my friend RJ and so decided to post a few articles regarding his death (not that any of them tell the truth about Oscar or Nick). Just in case you were interested. Now we know Nick has another friend in heaven. Oscar will be missed by the family, friends, and the Bay Area music scene.
