SEPTEMBER DINNER MEETING

Topic: "Getting ESL Employees To Speak Up and Speak Out"

Facilitator and Presenter: Gloria De La Ysla Heistein, Director of InterLect

Gloria will share ideas that she has implemented with various levels of employees from assemblers to research scientists. Following her presentation, Gloria will lead a question and answer session on effective practices for teaching workplace presentation skills.

As a networking and support group, our meetings are not only a wonderful time to enhance expertise in an area, but also a perfect time to share ideas and/or resources. If you have something that has been particularly successful in teaching presentation skills, please share what you know in the Q/A period and/or bring books or about 25 copies of a handout for distribution to the group.

N.E.W. members met at Pedro's Restaurant in Santa Clara on July 17th and planned programs for our 1998-99 ANNIVERSARY year.
