Hi My name is Neal and I am 52 years old. I have been mountain biking for 14 years. I would like to introduce to you my favorite rides. The rides are in the Santa Monica, San Gabriel and Los Padres Mountains and range from sea level to nearly 9000 feet.The mileage range from 15-25 miles and can take from 3-6 hours. The elevation climbs can vary from 1500 feet to over 3000 feet.

Since I am no expert on technical riding, the rides are mainly on fire roads. There are some on single tract to keep one honest. These rides will give one a glimpse of the beauty of the LA wilderness. Stunning views of the city,ocean, mountains and desert await you. Remember mountain biking is a streneous sport so make sure your physical condition is up to the challenge. I am sure you will enjoy these rides. If you have any questions about these rides or would like to join me on any particular ride just e-mail me. I generally ride on Sunday mornings and go at a nice easy pace. I would rather enjoy the scenery rather than break a speed record. The truth is I am not as young as I used to be and those hills are getting harder and harder to climb. Well thats life.
