Welcome to Michael's camping and dirtbikes page.

This is my favorite place to go camping. It's called Rasor Road. Rasor Road is located in Southern California in the Mojove desert and is off Interstate 15. Rasor Road is about 100 miles south of Las Vegas and about 45 miles north of Barstow, CA, and is about a 165 mile drive from my home here in Orange, CA.

Here are some various photos that I have taken out at Rasor Road over the past 2 years.

I own a 1984 Yamaha TT600 4-stroke dirtbike. It has a high performance renthal chain and sprocket, re-wrapped lighting coils done by Baja Desings in San Diego, CA, Acerbis DHH headlamp assembley with two 35 watt halogen headlights (70 total watts), a oversized wiseco piston and cylinder sleeve (633cc) bore and storke is, (98.0 X 84.0), ported cylinder head, front disc brake and gold rims off of a 1986 YZ250 and Acrebis brush guards. I've had my TT600 for 12 years now and I love everything about it. It is so much fun to ride and has never let me down! I bought it used in 1988 for a price of $850 dollars. It's a very reliable bike and it's very fast too. I don't get to go dirtbike riding as often as I would like to but I do go out dirtbike riding about 3 or 4 weekends out of the year usually out at Rasor Road. Here's are some photos I took of my TT600.

Below are some photos of my other dirtbike. It's a 1982 Yamaha IT250. I bought this dirtbike from a friend for $400 dollars. It was in a huge mess when I got it from him and needed tons of work. I have spent countless hours cleaning it up and have bought lots of new parts for it. Soon it will have yellow fork boots, Acerbis brush guards and new tires. It's a very fast bike and I love riding it. Check it out!

My younger brother (Mark) owns a 1998 Yamaha YZ400F four stroke. His bike is much faster and powerful than my TT600. We have raced lots of different times and I can never seem to beat him. It's usually a very close race between my bike and his. He has a factory effects stickers and seat cover kit, 150 watt E-Line lighting coil kit, Acerbis DHH, with two 50 watt MR16 halogen headlamps and Acrebis brush guards.

Here's a photo I took of my friend (Coley) going through the Mojove river in Afton Canyon in his full size GMC truck, close to where we camp.

When I'm out camping at Rasor Road with my friends, we always like riding my dirtbikes down to the Union Pacific railroad tracks and watching the freight trains go by. The freight trains out there are very exciting to watch and usually their doing between 60 and 90mph. Some of them I've seen have been over 150 cars long! I'm a huge train lover so I decided to take some photos. I took most of these photos in Novevber 2000.
