Mercury

Breif discussion:
Mecury is the smallest of the inner planets (separated from the outer by the asteroid field. The outer nature of it is made up of silicate rock and appears as carters, mountains, basins, and valleys. It rotates around the sun in 58.65 Earth days. Temperatures range from 350 degrees Celcius to -170 degrees Celsius. Most of its data was collected by the probe, Mariner 10.

Mythology:
Mercury has been known since at least the time of the 3000 B.C. Roman mythology views Mercury as a god of trade, travel and thievery. The Roman god Hermes is also associated with Mercury due to his quickness. Mecury is expedient in orbit. The Greeks gave Mercury the two names of Apollo for its ghostlike appearance as a morning star and Hermes as an evening star. However, Greek Astromers had the knowledge that the two were the same object.
