THE WEDDING
The Wedding will be held in the Fort Mason Officer's Club, located between the Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman's Wharf on San Francisco's northern waterfront. FYI: Fort Mason is a unique blend of entertainment and education open day & night 365 days each year! A National Historic Landmark and part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
This place is great! The Hostel is right on a park with a VIEW and only $16.00 per person per night and it's on the same block (walking distance) as the Officer's Club. You have 24 hour access/no curfew, fully-equipped kitchen, dining room, common room with a fireplace, laundry and hot showers. I will block a room (holds anywhere from 10-20 people per room, bunk-bed style - FYI no private rooms, it's very cozy) and if the you would like to stay here please email asap so I have a heads up on the interest.
Why is this such a great deal???
Well....This hostel is a smoke-free, alcohol-free environment and they ask that you do a 5 minute chore each day (that's how the keep the cost down). The if the money is right, why not!

Pluto's
The whole range of San Francisco. Very special is Zuni's. For a fun experience and good food I like Max's Diner near Moscone Center. Also, the Castro District is unique in the world with some of the most entertaining (but safe) street life you may see, and there are good restaurants, too. Check out North Beach for an Italian experience (The Stinking Rose, for example, has garlic in every single dish) and Chinatown for the feeling of being in China.
San Francisco is legendary for its sights and sounds. Most of these are either self-evident or you can easily find out about them from your hotel concierge.
One very easily accessible place is Union Street, which is about 6 easily-walkable blocks away from Fort Mason and thus close to many of the lodgings listed above. This street has many blocks of interesting shops and restaurants and is quite relaxing and distracting just to walk along.
