How do you start a flirt?
Nick: With eye contact.I look at the girl.When I see that she looks at me too,I approach her.Then I give her compliments about her hair and eyes.Later I send her
red roses.
A.J. : I look the girl in the eyes,then I go by her a few times and say 'Hi'.
Kevin: I am too shy to show my feelings.I talk about music to get her know better.
How close is your contact with fans?
Nick: It's great - many girls travel after us! We know some by name.We talk to them in the hotel lobby,give them autographs and let them take pictures with
us.We're not strict so that nobody can see us.
Kevin: It's important to us to talk with the fans,because we have so much success because of them!
A.J.: Once we invited some girls to breakfast! When girls give us their telephone numbers,it can happen that we call them back.Each of us has a special telephone
card and we can call fans with it.Not long ago I called some girls in Germany.They were totally suprised when I said:'Hi,this is A.J. from the Backstreet Boys.'We
talked about school,hobbies and I invited her to our next concert in her city.
Do you answer the fan letters personally?
A.J.: Until now,I tried to answer all letters personally,but now it's too much.But I try to write a personal greeting.

What fan presents do you like the most?
Nick: (laughs)I love jewellery.When a girl gives me a gold ring,I'm really happy.
Howie: I like gold jewellery and teedy bears.
B-Rok:I thought it's sweet when a girl gave me a small basketball loop,I can hang it anywhere on the wall.
How does your dreamgirl look like?
Nick: I like girls with long,dark hair,but the looks are not that important.The personallity is important.
A.J.: My dreamgirl should be sensitive and should have humor.And I have to be able to talk with her about anything.And I like it when girls wear tight tops and
high boots.
Kevin: I like sexy clothes.I like the legs and the behind by girls ,that's where I look first.I'm not intrested in big breasts.
Howie: For me,the most important thing is that I can talk with the girl.Not the look,the charisma counts.I like blue eyes,because I always wanted some.I don't like
very baggy clothes,I think it's sexy when you can see the body figure of the girl.In America everybody wears baggy pans,and you can only hope for some wind to
see the behind.I hate plastic fingenails - you never know how it looks under them.
B-Rok: I like long hair,but I don't care what color.But the personallity is important.The girl should look natural in jeans but also in noble clothes.I don't like too
much make up.
What behaviour do you like by girls?
Nick: I like self-confident girls,who know exactly what they want,and they have to be a little sassy.My dreamgirl has to know what she wants,and she can't be
shy.I don't like girls who smoke.
A.J.: My dreamgirl should be self-confident and independend.
Kevin: It's important that girls have manners,that they are clever and know a lot.
Howie: I like very feminine girls,who don't look like dolls.It's important to me that the girl is accepted by my family and friends.
B-Rok: She should be nice and friendly.
How should you dreamgirl not be?
Nick: She shouldn't lie or cheat on me.
A.J.: She has to be honest.
Kevin: I don't need a woman who serves me.I like girls who are self-confident and make their dreams come true.
B-Rok: What I hate is when girls orders me to do something or she wants to controll me.Some fans say:"You have to take a picture with me right now!"! I hate
that.
