Magic

Hello There! My name is Magic. I am a Walkaloosa (that means 1/2 Tennessee Walker & 1/2 Appaloosa) and I just turned 8 this year. I came to live with Debbie's family when I was 2. I was so scared! I had never even had a halter on much less touched by humans! But after a month or so I decided this was a good place to live. I made new friends, had my very own stall, and lots of good food! Oh…and the people weren't so bad either!!

I will never forget the first time Debbie took me to the beach. She made me follow Dusty into the ocean and I thought I was going to be seasick! But I decided….if Dusty can do it, so can I! When I was 3 they took me to stay at a trainers ranch for a couple of months. He was really nice and taught me not to be afraid of that bit and saddle and that it was really fun to let humans ride me up in the hills!

When I came back home I was ready for more adventures, but about that time Dana got really sick and nobody had time to take me riding. We did get to go to the Three Sister Wilderness for 10 days and I got to carry a pack! My friend, Rowdy, thought that was really an insult, making us carry the packs…but Hey! I thought it was fun!!

I got to move to Medford with Debbie. Now I am in a big beautiful stall where I can go out to the sunshine whenever I want! There is a big covered arena so Debbie has started riding me again. I can't wait for summer to come so we can go trail riding again! The other day Debbie was talking about going "team penning" and rounding up cows! I think I would like to do that too!
