My Live Show Review
First off I just want to say that it was one of the most amazing nights of my life!!!!
My friend and I arrived at the doors of Slim's in San Fransisco at approx. 7:00. There were a few girls there (about 5), and a boy already waiting. The doors wouldn't open till about 8:30, so we had some time to get really excited. While we were waiting out side Jeremy and Duncan got off there bus (parked infront) and walked by us. They didn't stop but just walked by and said hello. Of course I didn't say anything because I was so shocked!!! After they were gone it hit me...I saw Jeremy and Duncan. It was a great start to my incredible night.
When the doors open I got in and positioned my self infornt of the stage. I wasn't in the middle, but a little to the right. So we stood and waited. At first not many people were there but after a while the place was partialy full. I made sure to get my T-shirt and sticker. I got the white charlie brown like shirt. Then after about 45 minutes of waiting the opening act came on. It was Black Lab. They had some pretty good music. They were good but I wanted them to finish so I could see OLP. So Black Lab finished and there was about 30 for the switching of instuments.
Now it was time......I can't even describe how excited I was. When they came up on stage I yelled my head off. They all looked great and sounded even better. The first thing I thought when I saw them was "Holy Shit" (in a good way). I don't remember the exact order they played the songs, but i do remember what they played. Automatic Flowers, Birdman, Let You Down, Shaking, Supermans Dead, Naveed, Starseed, Carnival, Hello Oskar, Car Crash, 4am, Clumsy and Neon crossing. All of the song sounded incredible. Raine was so intense that he scared me. :) Clumsy and Neon Crossing were the encore. They were going to play Dear Prudence but some guys were yelling for Neon Crossing instead. Car Crash was great. They all were great!!!!! During Naveed there poem was read by the Saul Fox guy on a screen on the back drop. I was really neat. On of the highlights of the night, for me, was when Raine was starting to give the explanation for Carnival. He started to ask...."have you ever played that game..." Right then I yelled out "OF COURSE". Raine looked at me and laughed and said.."Of course (ha ha)...yea, you know what Im talking about." Then he finished. It was so cool. He talked to me!!! Cool huh. Jeremy rocked out on the drums, Mike and Duncan also rocked out. Duncan was right infront of me so I watched him a lot. He's cool. There show was amazing and If I could I would go to everyone of there shows. When they were getting off the stage Jeremy threw out his drum sticks and I got ONE!!!!!!!!!
Afterward my friend and I hung out and waited to get autographs and pictures. We first got Mikes. And let me just say how NICE he was. We talked about the TH on my hand, and he told me how he had a hard time getting his off on the Canada tour. Then later outside we got pics with Raine (sweet) and then a little later Duncan. Duncan chatted with us for a little bit then got on the bus. Raine was seemed real tired so he didn't spend much time talking. I was amazed how nice they were. So we stood out side waiting...and waiting... for Jeremy to come out. I needed him to sign my drum stick!!!!! So finally he came out. He was really shy....but he was nice. So they all were on the bus and it was time for us to go. I wanted to leave with them but I doubted they would let me go(sarcasm). So we left and we drove home for 4 hours at 2:00 in the morning and I couldn't stop talking . It was so amazing!!!!!!!!
I just want to say THANK YOU to the guys for such an amazing night!!!
