1995- Hailey and her friend Heather started a band, first they called it "Placid". Heather played lead guitar, and Hailey sang and did back up guitar. But things never worked out. Heather always wanted to do cover songs and Hailey wanted to do her own songs. Due to those differences, they split up as a band, and a few months later split up from being "best friends".
1996- Hailey's step sister, Jennifer, said she'd play lead for her. Hailey wrote many songs by herself, and she and Jennifer collaborated on one song called "Never Again".
1997- Hailey and Jenn were still just vocals and guitar. In May they went to a silverchair concert, and met 2 girls, Sarah and Marianna, who played drums and bass. They decided to start a "long distance" band, since Marianna and Sarah, lived about 3-4 hours away. That later ended for obvious reasons. And mere months after that, Jenn, once again left Hailey alone with just a dream.
1998- Hailey and Casey met. They liked the same things, and they decided to start a band together since they wanted the same things but couldn't find it in other people. Then a girl from Hailey's class called her one day and her name was Liz. She became the bassist, and later determined that she'd also share vocals with Hailey and Casey. Liz recomended a long time friend, Telisha to be the band's drummer.
1999- Liz and Hailey run into "conflicts" and Danny is the new Bassist. (welcome a board! and let it be known that Danny has agreed to go onstage in drag!) candyflesh as it is today, at this very moment is Hailey (guitar/voice) Casey (guitar/voice) Danny (bass) Telisha (drums).
