Treecrusher
Treecrusher's debut
CD, "Yes, I don't", was released in 1997 and
received considerable national college radio airplay charting on
Hamilton's CFMU, Kingston's CFRC, Victoria's CFUV and Vancouver's
CITR. The release of the CD was supported by numerous live
performances. Including an opening spot for J-Church at the
Starfish room in Vancouver and a successful all-ages tour with two
Victoria bands Santo and the Defektors. The all-ages tour made
CFUV/Offbeat Magazine's "top Ten Best of 1997" list
compiled by Jon Murphy, Editor of Offbeat Magazine. Influenced by
All, Big Drill Car, Doughboys, and SNFU, Treecrusher has
created a unique brand of fast-paced punk rock highlighted by
vocal harmonies and infectious hooks.
"If
Treecrusher doesn't make you sit up and take notice, you don't
have a single pop-punk bone in your body"
Mike
Devlin, Victoria Times-Columnist Newspaper
"There must be
something in the water over in Victoria, from the birthplace of
Bum comes Treecrusher, the latest loud, fast, energetic,
pop-tinged boy band from our province's capital.
Janis
Mackenzie, CITR's discorder magazine
