i could write forever on all the things my mother taught me through her example...
the only thing i didn't learn was her recipes...but then nothing would ever come
close to how she cooked because even with the recipe, because it wasn't MOM
that cooked it. Generosity and a deep understanding of the value of another person's
smile.

through all the good and the bad, there was always 'brothers'...as it should be,
from the heart and not from a biological relationship. Needed a helping hand,
he was there. Needed a listening ear, he was there. Needed a friend, he was
always there. The brother relationship we had, is what I strive to instill in
my sons, because that's the way it should be...with brothers...and with friends.
