Programme of Services

Grenfell Regional Health Services is Located in St. Anthony, Newfoundland (Canada) with Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital as its regional referal center

To keep up with the influx of technology in our Hospitals and changing Accreditation standards, GRHS recognized the need to provide a efficient Biomedical Services for our area. Seven years ago Curtis Hospital began to develop a Regional Biomedical Program to fill this requirement.

We provide both Biomedical Services and General Electronic Services to GRHS in Northern Newfoundland and Southern Labrador (2 The GRHS Region) and all of the mainland portion of our province, Labrador, which is under the Health Labrador Corp. board. (1 The HLC Region)

Biomedical Services has eliminated many of the expensive service contracts in the hospital and works with the vendors to provide parts contracts with limited labour clauses to achieve substantial savings.

We provide Preventive and Demand Maintenance Programs as well as staff education, technical support, acceptance testing, specification development and a host of other services expected from a Department of this magnitude.

To improve efficiency and provide a more rounded service we support mobile communications, mechanical controls, PC and main frame computers.
