ALVIN SEVILLE (the talented troublemaker)

Alvin is the oldest of the chipmunks, and also the lead singer of their group. He is always the one who gets them into trouble, (usually in an attempt to get rich or famous) and tends to be selfish, self centered, and conceited at times. He really hates to be alone and is VERY vain about his looks, although he does suffer from 'small munk complex'. (his height). Regardless of all this, he is very protective of his brothers. (unless of course, he's the one doing the teasing and torturing...)

His favorite color, obviously, is red, and he (usually) dates Brittany. (See the Alvin & Brittany Shrine for details)

And in case anyone's wondering, he also happens to be my favorite out of all the Chipmunks! :)

Age Issue:
There is a lot of controversy surrounding who the oldest Chipmunk is, so I'll explain my reasoning. I really only have one shred of evidence, (at least off the top of my head), but since there's nothing besides Simon's personality suggesting
he's the oldest, I think it's irrefutable proof: In the episode, Grounded Chipmunk, Alvin is angry that he's been grounded and forced to stay home alone. While he's sitting on the stairs, he says something along the lines of, "I've never been alone! Well, except for the first few minutes before Simon was born." So according to this, it's pretty obvious who they consider the oldest. So the birth order would go: Alvin--Simon--Theodore. Since, logically, Alvin wouldn't have been alone if Simon was the first born. Also, this in turn would explain Alvin's 'small munk complex'. Since he's the oldest of the chipmunks, the fact that he's upset about his height makes a lot more sense. Maybe it's a male-munk pride thing, or something.

Anyway, just thought I'd clear that up for some people, since I've gotten a lot of e-mails about this before, but always just addressed the individual e-mails, rather than clear it up on the site. And remember: although personality can usually determine age-order, it's not written in stone. I should know... my younger sister, personality-wise, is a lot like Alvin, while I, the middle daughter, tend to lean more towards Theodore... which you could probably tell just by my choice in cartoons. lol.

But If you have any proof stating otherwise, I'd love to hear them! But please, have actual proof: don't try basing your case on height, or maturity level alone... I'd like to think I've already debunked that theory.

Thanks! :)
