21 DANFORTH ROAD Route History

September 1st, 1963

New route inaugurated, replacing 15 BRIMLEY. "Progress via Brimley" (21) buses run from Luttrell Loop via Danforth Avenue, Danforth Road and Brimley Road, looping counterclockwise via Ellesmere Road, Midland Avenue and Progress Avenue. "Ellesmere via McCowan" (21A) buses run from Luttrell Loop via Danforth Avenue, Danforth Road, and McCowan Road to Ellesmere. Both branches operate Monday through Friday, 12 hours a day. On evenings and weekends 21B operate over a combined route from Luttrell Loop via Danforth Avenue, Danforth Road, Brimley, Brimorton Drive, McCowan, Danforth Road and Danforth Avenue to Luttrell.

January 1st, 1964

Evening and weekend loop revised to operate via Brimley, Brimorton, McCowan and Lawrence back to Brimley.

February 26th, 1966

21A McCowan buses now loop at the north end via east on Ellesmere and south and west on Stoneton Drive.

May 10th, 1968

Last day of operation, replaced by new 21 BRIMLEY and 16 McCOWAN buses.
