Kick Ass Bands!

Okay, so here it is, my page dedicated to the coolest bands that exist or at one time did. We've got Lush Cherries, Riddlesic, Simply Dave, 31 Day Orgasm, Purple Jester, Dust Cloud Rising, Nathan and the Slut Monkeys, and more!

Let's start off with Lush Cherries. Three members in this band. We got Nathan (me) who played tambourine, danced and occasionally sang. Desire did vocals and was a dancer. Jordanna did vocals and danced. All of our songs were Tom Jones style songs and were awesome. Too bad that we never had any recordings of any of them...
Now we come to Simply Dave. We had bumper stickers, we had flyers, we had t-shirts, we had it all. Except we did'nt really have a band. We were all hype and no band. We had a drummer without rhythm who always wore a mask (Darin), a guitarist who was a better bassist than guitarist (Leif), a backup dancer who never really did anything (me), a lead vocalist (Dave, hence the name of the band), a guy whose name I can't remember who did all of our publicity (and was really good at it, which makes me hate myself that I can't remember his name. I think it was Ethan.) And I'm pretty sure that was the entire band. If there were others, I'm very sorry I forgot you.
Okay, 31 Day Orgasm. The name of the band was derived by one of the members (Nick) and we never really did anything. Leif, Nick, and I were in the band and some other guys too. I don't think we really had a set roster as to who was really in or out of the band, so I guess even you could claim to have once been part of the band! We had a name and that was it. Too bad, we rocked.
Ah, Purple Jester. One of the first bands I was in that actually had anything going (other than Lush Cherries). Jessie, Jeremy, Ryan and I were the original members. Soon after forming, we acquired a new drummer (Corey) and our previous drummer (me) moved on to sound effects. The sound effects gig didn't last and our name changed to Dust Cloud Rising. Soon after that, I was no longer in the band. Later, the band changed many members and names and I think only one original memeber is still part of the band now doing Christian rock and as far as I know, doing well at it. Oh well, another band I was there to see the start of but didn't get to continue on with.
Nathan and the Slut Monkeys is a band that never formed, never had any publicity, and really never existed. Morgan conceptualized the name and we just never got a band going with it. It's rough in Redding to create anything as worthwhile as Lush Cherries.
Now we come to Riddlesic. A real band with real members. Corey is the best drummer in Redding (in many people's opinions, including my own). Right now, the band is just Corey and I. I am either a vocalist, back-up vocalist, or a band dancer. I'm not sure what my function really is beyond roadie at this point. But since it's only Corey and I, I don't have to worry about lugging around the equipment very often. We've gone through so many guitarists and vocalists and all kinds of different places for gigs and stuff, but it is so ridiculous to try to start up anything in Redding. We have to deal with people that have no commitment to anything other than drugs, alcohol, or both. We don't care about people that use them, but what we need to have is someone who knows the differece between occasional usage and addiction. We also need someone who isn't so attached to their girlfriend that they can't go anywhere without that person tagging along and causing trouble. Music rehearsals are for rehearsing music, not french kissing. I'm tired of dealing with all the crap of trying to find decent people around here. Corey is pretty frustrated by it too. Oh well.
