Prison Fellowship was founded by Chuck Colson in 1976, after serving time in a Federal prison for his role in the Watergate scandal. Now, the worlds largest prison ministry, in over 75 chartered countries and in every state in the union. There are over 40,000 volunteers that minister to prisoners, ex-prisoners, their families and the victims of crime.

VOLUNTEER TRAINING

Prison Fellowship volunteers go through a 20 hour training to certify them for in-prison ministry. Certified volunteer instructors go through additional training to equip them to better teach in-prison seminars and Bible studies, Christian 12-Steps and other life-changing events.

WHERE WE MINISTER LOCALLY

Our Certified Volunteers are currently ministering at the following prisons: Adelanto Correctional Facility, Victor Valley Medium Correctional Facility, Desert View Correctional Facility-Adelanto, Boron Federal Facility, Calif. State Prison Los Angeles County-Lancaster, Banning Correctional Facility, Calif. Institution for Men-Chino, Calif. Institution for Women-Frontera, Calif. Rehab. Center-Norco, Women's Prototype Center-Pomona, and YTS-Chino.
Prison Fellowship consists of many different ministries: In-Prison Seminars, Bible studies, Christian 12-Steps, Marriage Seminars, Community Service Projects, concerts and special events. Neighbors Who Care: a ministry to the victims of crime. Network For Life: an Aftercare ministry to former offenders. Justice Fellowship: champion for justice reform. Angel Tree: a ministry to the children of prisoners at Christmas and year round.
