Oo~ Lush ~oO....

"...Before you is a dimly lit room...The walls of a rich, almost bloody burgundy velvet are enticing and pleasing to the eye...giving the room an air of smutty tastefulness. To the right stands a girl...pretty in some respects beastly in others, who in hushed tones offers to take your jacket...As you hand it to her she lowers her eyes shyly and disappears beyond what seems to be a wall of glass beads. From the far corner of the room comes the mellow notes of a saxophone...you close your eyes and take in the deep notes played by the musician clad in a cheap black suit. Without any encouragement the odd little girl who so graciously hung your overcoat brings you a drink and seats you on a plush black lounge chair and disappears as quickly as she did re-appear...

Take a seat and make yourself cozy...
Who would have thought that after having been online for so many years...*~Lush~* would have gone out of her way to actually create a home page??? Boredom is all I can really I can attribute it to... So let's cut the chase and get the worst over with...Let's talk about...my favourite topic...and yours...*nudge,nudge*...ME!
...It all started one cold night in December...when mom and dad had nothing better to do..(and what better?)...than the ol' hoochie coochie...That was the night that l'il Lush was conceived...*eeks*. It was nine months later...September 11th, 1974 to be exact that (at least to mom)...the "not so little Lush" made her first appearance...and for that I thank my mother every day. I was born in the cramped recesses of a hospital in Seoul, South Korea and not long after (two months later)...hopped on a plane with my family and headed for this great country of ours...Canada. Born and raised the youngest of four girls...I was always spoiled....and I'll be damned if that should ever stop. For many years our family has ventured into the world of small business and gave each one of our businesses all that we were...None of which will ever amount to the effort we've put forth in our newest venture....
Biblio Cafe
For those of you are familiar with Toronto and surrounding areas...Biblio cafe is located at 958 St.Clair Avenue W. (Northwest corner of St.Clair & Oakwood). When there you can busy yourself with colourful atmosphere and great music...You can be assured of a fine cup of steaming java and some fine fare...Mind you...not finding me there would be a definite minus...but, my sister's are pretty close in the running...;) Drop by sometime...have a cup of Cafe Concerto and browse through our wide selection of magazines and books... Now...I'm almost certain that those of you who know me will be quite suprised to find that *~Lush~* loves literature...Loves to write...and realllly lives for anything in relation to written word. I spend much of my spare time (which is rare) writing for creative reasons as well as therapeutic ones. In the past few years...I myself have finished two novels and various forms of poetry, prose and short stories. Unfortunately, my fear of the scrutiny and criticism of others allows me to keep my work to myself...maybe one day....Or then again...maybe not. The following is a list of a few of my favourites... For those of you who (like myself) love the classics...Let me suggest, "The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde, who was better known for his Children's Stories, "The Happy Prince"...and "The Selfish Giant". Wilde is truly a remarkable artist of both past and present (despite his supposed unorthodox sexual practices)...Read up on the life and times of Oscar Wilde...Definitely one of the best! For something slightly more contemporary..."The Favourite Game" by Leonard Cohen...singer, songwriter and a fabulous poet/novelist. This was his first novel..a beautiful read. And yet another of my favourites for his sharp witted style of writing...check out W.D Valgardson's Website...and *gasp*...might I even recommend "The Girl With The Boticelli Face"...one of his absolute best and my personal favourites.
So, my interests are a little off...I find the human mind...Mine especially incredibly interesting and to understanding of it is something I am always in search of...and well....chicks....??? Chicks/dames/broads....we love all that quiz/psychoanaylysis test stuff...Try one!!...or at least check out some of the great sites I've found!
All hail Sarah McLachlan, with the voice of an angel and the words of a mage...Oh sweet music, yet another of my first loves. Not only in the background music, has always been to me yet another outlet for my caged talent and has been an active part of my life for as long as I can remember. Other than having sang lead vocals for several local bands (who couldn't have been very good as they are all now dis"banded"...hmm...maybe I should take that as a hint...) I also play various instruments...Guitar first and foremost (acoustic of course), piano, violin, cello, bass, a little bit of bass guitar...and I was always reeeeeally good at the triangle when I was in kindergarten...*lmao*...Take a look at some of the links to sites for some of my absolute favourite bands...The Smiths, who blessed us with Morrissey....mmmm...yummy....Sworn celibacy is evil. *grin*... And for those of you who haven't yet been blessed with the opportunity of having met charming l'il me in person or...*gasp*...have been so unfortunate in not having caught a glimpse of my ugly mug....here it is...
