HISTORY: Fred Myers was originally a picther for a baseball team but decided that a life of crime was a more profitable game. Thus he became the mercenary assassin known as Boomerang. In his many fights with Spider-Man he has never managed to defeat the wall-crawler. The closest he got was when he was hired by Jack O'Lantern to join a group called the Sinister Syndicate, which was made up of the Rhino, the Beetle, Hydro-Man, Speed Demon, and himself. Most recently, Boomerang has appeared in the "Spider-Man: Lifeline" mini-series, where he was employed by Hammerhead to retrieve fragments of the lifeline tablet who had been stolen by the Eel for Caesar Cicero. Again, Spider-Man succeeded in defeating him.
