Some people (though it's hard to believe) are still not familiar with the
IRC network. IRC is a part of the total internet network where people are
able to meet eachother and talk about all kinds of things. This is done
in the so called 'channels', a individual 'room' within the IRC network.
Due to take-overs (somebody takes control of a room that is not his/hers)
people would like to protect their room. Of course, you could be in there
24 hours a day to protect it, but there are other ways. One of them is to
place a 'bot' in the room to protect it. Most common this is done by using
a Unix/Xenix or Linux shell account witch is 24 hour on-line.
First of all, you need a shell account.
Then, when you have one, you would like to have the software that runs the bot.
Once you have this, you can configure the bot the way you want it, with several TCL's.
Check below where you can find eggdrop software and where you can find TCL's.
