~Backround Information: Walter Skinner is the man Mulder and Scully report to after concluding their investigations. His status as a good or bad guy is a bit of a grey area. Mostly, he helps out Mulder and Scully. After he closed down the X Files, acting on "orders form above", he reopened them on his own authority. He is also frequented by the Cigarette Smoking Man, though their relationship is ambiguous at best. Skinner has delt with him and won; such as in Anasazi when he got Mulder and Scully reinstated, threatening to expose secret government files about extraterrestrials. He is the agent's senior and goes by the book. He is also strict and hard, being an ex-marine. Other than that, not a whole lot is known about Walter Skinner; especially about his private life.
