As a result of the move to Rancho Bernardo, We have become friends with Rex & Connie Kennemer. Rex & Karl have become close friends in this past year. Connie, and another friend Tricia Chandler suffer from Multiple Sclerosis, and have been instrumental in creating a large team each year for the MS Walk in San Diego. The Sheltons were pleased to help co-captain with Rex & Connie for 1997 and 1998. This year "Con & Tricia's Challenge" raised over $15,000. The 2nd largest of any team and the largest for a family team. This year we hope to raise $20,000. Your support would be appreciated. God has used Connie's ailment to reach others for himself. As Rex would say "Yeah, God!" In 1997, Blaine walked 5K, but in 1998 he did the entire 10K. Unfortunately, 1999 did not allow for the Sheltons to participate in the Walk. Karl is now a part of the NMSS San Diego Speaker's Bureau.
