the reason marijuana is illegal has absolutely nothing to do with public safety. its about the supression of industrial hemp. let me explain
hemp was made illegal becuz it challenged the paper industry. in 1948 Depont chemical company patented the process of making paper and wood frm trees usin extremly toxic chemicals. b4 this time.. paper, clothes rope etc were made of hemp. the common guy grew hemp for a living, as hemp grows quickly and dense.
for dupont to make off trees, began attakin hemp and named it "Marijuana". They made tv ads about how the drug is as bad as heroin.
the congress being ignorant that "MJ" was hemp, and lookin to fill lost alochol prohibition, made the drug illegal. and since hemp comes frm the same plant... therefor made that illegal.
now 40 years later, the propaganda has our kids believin MJ and heroin are of equal danger. when these kids first try "MJ," they discover it's harmlessness and assume that heroin and coke are just as harmless. do you want your kids thinking this?
Hemp can be used to make the following things:
Hemp Diesel which only emits carbon dioxide and oxygen
Hemp plastic strong and bio degradable
hemp oil which is healthier than canola oil
hemp wood.. stronger than tree wood, was originally used in 1949 Model T Fords
hemp paper.. 4 acres of trees = 1 acre of hemp
hemp clothes which is far more durable than cotton
glue resin
and medicine pain relief... increases appetite.
it takes hundreds of millions of skrillaz to cut down forests and make them to paper. it takes billions of dollars to drill earth for petroleum and process crude oil into fuel, plastics and chemicals. these industries see the money goin into this.. and want to monopolize the money and power they can get frm it
cotton growing states also lead the prohibition of hemp, since cotton is less durable than hemp fiber in clothing. cotton is also the most pesticide intense crop and grows less than 2 feet tall a season, while hemp grows 15 - 25 ft. since cotton cannot compete with weed they try to shut em down. 28% of all pesticides we produce on our planet are used on cotton crop. Hemp on the other hand produces more than a dozen times as cotton and is basscially pesticide - free sice it kills weeds.
hemp cloth was worn by most of mankind till 19th cenury. today we rely on cotton, the most pollution intense crop on earth. causing envoronmental drestruction, desertifcation and big changes to the worls climate. we are neglecting hempseed protiens, the most productive and healthy food crop on eaarth
prohibiting the cultivation of this ancient plant, the mst productive source of fiber, oil and protein on our planet is wrong. our civilization is comsuming fossil fuels that represent hundreds and millions of years of carbon deposits, which is bad, at a cost so expensive that only the worlds largest and most powerful industries can enter into competition. as we burn coal petroleum and gas for fuel, and release prehistoric carbon into the atmosphere it causes changes in the worlds climate that we are only beginnin to understand.
an interesting thing is that the Declaration of Independence is written on hemp paper, which is why it has lasted so long. hemp paper is much more durable than wood-pulp paper. Also, George Washington grew hemp, as did many other "Founding Fathers".
growing hemp would solve lots of the problems today in the world. WEED IS GOOD.
