Customize page colors - Click this to modify how text looks on your page - you can choose either a,b,c or d.
Modify/Add background image - Clicking this lets you see the following information:

Continue  Cancel

If you would like to choose a picture for your page (ie: upload one from your computer), choose 'upload a file' and click continue.  If you would like a plain background, choose 'no background image' and continue.

If you choose to upload a file, you will see the following screen, called File Upload:

File Upload

Continue  Cancel

Here, you simply need to click BROWSE to be able to search the files on your computer to find a graphic (picture) that you like.  When you have found the one you want, click "Open", and you will notice that the location of the picture you chose will be in the box beside the browse button.  Click "Continue".

Modify/Add banner image : A banner image is like a header.  Click here to add one.  Follow the instructions as above to upload a file.  Choose "Use text" to use the generic course banner, with your own text - ie; welcome to my homepage, etc.  Choose "None" to not have a banner.

Once you have made your choice, click continue.

Options: Homepage
Restore homepage - Click to restore your homepage to a back-up file - see below.
Backup homepage - if you know that you are going to be playing around with your homepage, you should save a 'backup' of your homepage before you start - that way, if you goof completely, you can always restore (using the 'restore homepage') back to your original. Otherwise, you'll have to "Clear the page" (next) and start over.....
Clear the page - Self explanatory.
