Every girl wants Prince Charming, and while he may be nice and all, I’m thinking I’d
rather have the guy that’s going to call at 4 a.m. just to say hi, or someone who’ll stop by
my house just after we hang up the phone, because he wants to see how I’m really
doing. Because I said I was fine, but we both know I’m lying. Or the guy who’ll stay
home on a Saturday night because I’m sick and bring me my favorite kind of candy, even
though I can’t eat it because my stomach flips at the idea. That guy, that one guy...he may
not be Prince Charming to anyone else, but he’d be my hero. Anyeone who’d rather stay
home on a Saturday night and hold my hair back while I puke is a hero to me.
“Where’s home for you?” a stranger asked a fellow traveler. “Wherever she is,” came the
reply as the man pointed to his wife.
Hate is easy. Love takes courage.
I could go on and on about how much of a jerk you are, and how much I hate you, but at
the end of the day, when my head hits the pillow and I’m saying my prayers, you can bet
your last dime that I’ll still thank God that you’re in my life.
Do you want me to tell you something really subverse? Love is everything it’s cracked up
to be. That’s why people are so cynical about it. It really is worth fighting for, being
brave for, risking everything for. And the trouble is, if you don’t risk everything, you risk
even more.
To love someone is a very special thing, but for somebody to love you back is more of a
miracle. If you happen to stumble upon such a miracle, make sure you realize it. Never
take it forgranted, never let it sit, and most of all, never let it die.
Who knows him as well as I do? Who knows his laugh, his smile, the way he moves and
throws his glances? Who knows but I the scent of his clothes, the way he drives, the
things he does? The curl of his hair at the back of his neck, the words he uses, his sense of
humor. Each of these things I know and cherish as if they were my own. Who else but I
could love his taste in shoes, his gestures, his gently curved features, his smooth skin when
he shaves and stubble when he doesn’t? Who knows him as well as I do? And who could
love him as I do?
Love, an emotion so strong that you would give up everything just to feel it once, to know
that you are part of something special, to know that you can fell what love really is: to
know, to feel, to love.
Sometimes the heart sees what is invisible to the eye. ~H. Jackson Brown Jr.
Gravitation is not responsible for making people fall in love. ~Albert Einstein
It is astonishing how little ones feels alone when one loves. ~John Bulwer
Love is a symbol of eternity. It wipes out all sense of time, destroying all memory of a
beinning and all fear of an end.
Trip over love and you can get up. Fall in love and you fall forever.
Nobody has ever measured, even poets, how much a heart can hold. ~Zelda Fitzgerald
I am the poet’s elation, the artist’s revelation, and the musician’s inspiration. I am the
song of love. ~Khalil Gibran
Perhaps love is the process of me leading you gently back to yourself. Antoine de
Saint-Exupery
Henceforth there will be such a oneness between us that when one weeps, the other will
taste salt.
Love does not die easily. It is a living thing. It thrives in the face of all life’s hazards, save
one: neglect. ~James Bryden
When love beckons you, follow him, though his ways are hard and steep. And when his
wings enfold you, yield to him, though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound
you. And when he speaks to you, believe in him, though his voice may shatter your
dreams. For even though his voice may shatter your dreams, so shall he crucify you.
In life you have two loves: one who changes the way you see yourself, and the other who
puts you back together after you’ve lost the first.
Don’t worry about falling in love. In fairy tales they don’t find each other until the last
page.
A true man does not need to romance a girl every night. A true man romances the same
girl for the rest of her life.
I’ve learned that guys can make the best of friends. One of my best friends is a guy, and I
can tell him anything. Except for the fact that I’m absolutely crazy about him. That part
always seems to stay out of our conversations.
I know I shouldn’t like him, because I know it wouldn’t work out, and so I convince
myself that I don’t. And then I see him again, and he’ll smile or put his arm around me, or
just say anything, and then all that logic and convincing myself just evaporates.
Love is not complicated. It comes directly from the heart. It only becomes complicated
when the mind tries to translate it.
Men hate to cry. They rarely ever do. So when a man cries over you, you know he loves
you, because men only cry when they lose something more valuable to them than anything.
The worst thing you can do for love is deny it. So when you find that special someone,
don’t let anyone or anything stand in your way.
Guys always seem to wonder what it takes to get a girl. What do they have to do to make
a girl notice them? Guys have to realize that they have to be sweet, caring, gentle, honest,
and still have that sweet little thing about them that drives any girl crazy: and that’s
reaching her heart. No matter how much you try, if you don’t reach her heart, it won’t
ever be worth-while.
You know what’s the most terrifying thing about admitting that you’re in love? You’re
just naked. You put yourself in harm’s way and you lay down all your defenses. No
clothes, no weapons. Nowhere to hide. The only thing that makes it tolerable is to
believe that the other person loves you back and hopefully you can trust them not to hurt
you.
“I don’t believe in love.” “So what are you looking for?” “Love.” “You just said you
don’t believe in love.” “Well, I don’t believe in unicorns either, but it would still eb cool
to have one.”
At the touch of love, everyone becomes a poet. ~Plato
The most precious possession that comes to a man in this world is a woman’s heart.
Love is like standing in cement. The longer you stay, the harder it is to leave, and you can
never go without leaving your shoes behind.
Love is a four letter word, easy to spell, hard to define, and almost impossible to live
without.
Love is the irresistable desire to be irresistably desired.
Seduce my mind and you can have my body. Seduce my soul and I’m yours forever.
I think I’ll go anti-love. Really, who needs it? Butterflies in the tummy and hearts
skipping beats...that can’t be safe.
Love is a behavior, not a feeling. It’s the way somebody treats you everyday, all day, not
just when their life is going well.
Distance is to love what wind is to a fire: it extinguishes the weak and increases the
strong.
The minute I heard my first love story, I started looking for you, not knowing how blind I
was. Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere; they’re in each other all along.
You have to walk carefully in the beginning of love. The running across fields into your
lover’s arms can only come later when you’re sure they won’t laugh if you trip. ~Jonathan
Carroll, “Outside the Dog Museum”
You learn to like someone when you find out what makes them laugh, but you can never
truly love someone until you find out what makes them cry.
People think it’s a problem when they start to love their best friend, but your lover should
be your best friend.
Love can’t make you strong until love has made your weak.
Love is as beautiful as the blood you’ve shed for it.
There is no remedy for love but to love more. ~Henry David Thoreau
Love is like an hourglass with the heart filling up as the brain empties. ~Jules Renard
Love is friendship set on fire. ~Jeremy Taylor
Love does not die easily. It is a living thing. It thrives in the face of all life’s hazards, save
one: neglect. ~James Bryden
Love that is not madness is not love. ~Pedro Calderon
When love beckons to you, follow him, though his ways are hard and steep. And when his
wings enfold you, yield to him, though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound
you. And when he speaks to you, believe in him, though his voice may shatter your
dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden. For even as love crowns you, so shall he
crucify you.
In life you have two loves: one who changes the way you see yourself and the world, and
the other who puts you back together after you have lost the first.
Don’t worry about falling in love. In fairy tales, they don’t find each other until the last
page.
Are you running away from something you dont want? Or running away from something
your afraid to want?
I’m feeling nervous, trying to be so perfect, because i know you’re worth it.
Do you want me to tell you something really subverse? Love is everything it's cracked up
to be. That's why people are so cynical about it. It really is worth fighting for, being brave
for, risking everything for. And the trouble is, if you don't risk everything, you risk even
more.
Wait for the boy who pursues you, the kind of boy who brings out the best in you and
makes you want to be a better person. Wait for the boy who will be your best friend, the
boy who makes you smile like no other boy. Wait for the boy who wants to show you off
to the world when you are in sweats and no makeup on, but appreciates it when you get
all dolled up for him, and most of all wait for the boy who will put you at the center of his
universe, because obviously he's at the center of yours.
How desperately we wish to maintain our trust in those we love. In the face of
everything, we try to find reasons to trust, because losing faith is worse than falling out of
love.
You know what’s the most terrifying thing about admitting that you’re in love? You’re
just naked. You put yourself in harm’s way and you lay down all your fedenses. No
clothes, no weapons. Nowhere to hide. Completely vulnerable. The only thing that makes
it tolerable is to believe the other person loves you back and you can trust him not to hurt
you.
If I speak with the eloquence of men and of angels but have no love, I become no more
than blaring brass or crashing cymbal. If I have the figt of foretelling and hold in my mind
not only all human knowledge but the very secrets of God, and if I also have that absolute
faith that can move mountains, but have no love, I amount to nothing at all. If I dispose of
all that i possess, yes, even if I give my own body to be burned, but have no love, I
achieve precisely nothing. This love of which I speak is slow to lose patience; it looks for
a way of being constructive; it is not possessive; it is neither anxious to impress nor does it
cherish inflated ideas of its own importance. Love has good manners and does not pursue
selfish advantage. It is not touchy. It does not keep account of evil or gloat over the
widkedness of other people. On the contrary, it shares the joy of those who live by the
truth. Love knows no limit to its endurance, no end to its trust, no fading of its hope. It
can outlast anything. Love never fails.
I dont even call it a crush anymore. Hes more like a bad habit that I cant shake off.
A great love? It's when you shed tears for him, but you still care for him. It's when he
ignored you, but you still long for him. It's when he starts loving another, and yet you
manage a smile and find the courage to say, 'I'm happy for you.'
You’re not my friend; friends don’t look at each like we do. You’re not my friend; friends
don’t touch each other the way we do. You’re not my friend; friends don’t kiss like we
do. So then what are you?
Anyone can be passionate but it takes real lovers to be silly.
I’ll tell you what real love is. It is blind devotion, unquestioning self-humiliation, utter
submission, trust and belief against yourself and against the whole world, giving up your
whole heart and soul to the smiter --as I did! ~Great Expectations
My friend, I hate to do this, but our friendship just can’t last. The time we shared together
has all faded in the past. I told you this would happen; our friendship was bound to end.
Although I know you care, I can’t consider you a friend. Please don’t try to argue, but try
to understand that time can change two peoplelike the tide can change the sand. Our
friendship has been lovely, but, you see, it just won’t do, for now I see you in a different
way. I’ve fallen in love with you.
If you like me, say so, and, if you don’t, stop acting like you do.
Sometimes, no matter how secure you are in someone’s arms and no matter how tightly
you hold on to that person’s hand, you’ll find yourself falling dangerously in love with
someone else.
I’m going to let love find me. I’m not going to look for love, and if I never find love then
it wasn’t meant for me. ~Princess34987
To get to a woman’s heart, a man must first use his own. ~Barry
You have no idea what you do to me and, even if you did, you’d probably still do it
anyways!
If it isn’t complicated then he probably isn’t your soul mate.
To love knowing you are going to get hurt is like living knowing you are going to die, but
not loving for fear of getting hurt is like killing yourself so you won’t have to die.
You know you love her. Would it kill you to admit it? Maybe treat her halfway decent?
Because she deserves it, and she’s not going to wait around for you forever.
Love is the sweetest of dreams and the worst of nightmares. ~Shakespeare
No one is too young for love, for love doesn’t come from your mind, which knows your
age, but from your heart, which knows no age limit.
Love is like a butterfly. If you chase it, it will fly away, but if you wait patiently, it will
land on you when you least expect it.
An imamture love says, “I love you because I need you.” A mature love says, “I need you
because I love you.”
The path that leads to happiness is so narrow that two can’t walk on it unless they become
one.
What if finding the love of your life meant changing the life you loved?
Sometimes I wish I was a kid again because skinned knees are easier to fix than broken
hearts.
It’s a narrow margin, just room enough for regret in the inch and a half between “hey, how
ya been?” and “Can I kiss you yet?”
Of all the words of tongue and pen, the saddest are “It could have been.”
It’s easy to fall in love but harder to find someone to catch you.
I just want to be that girl he turns to and smiles at, while he says to his friends: "Yeah...that's her..."
"In love we often doubt what we most believe." ~Francois de La Rochefoucauld
"The heart is forever making the head its fool." ~Francois de La Rochefoucauld
True love is like ghosts, which everyone talks about and few have seen." ~Francois de La Rochefoucauld
Always tell a person you love them because you never know when it will be your last chance.
It is the passion that is in a kiss that gives to it it's sweetness; it is the affection in a kiss that sanctifies it.
If you don't like someone, the way he holds his spoon will make you furious. If you care about someone, he can turn his plate over in your lap and you won't mind.
I was born with an enormous need for affection and a terrible need to give it.
If you are the desert, I'll be the sea. If you ever hunger, hunger for me. Whatever you ask for, that's what I'll be. So when you remember the ones who have lied, who said that they cared, but laughed as you cried. Beautiful darling, don't think of me, because all I've ever wanted is in your eyes.
Until a man touches a womans heart, he shouldn't touch her body. ;)
You may hold his hand, but I hold his heart, and there are strings attached. And some
days I think that if I pulled on one of those strings, he just might come running.
I didn't say I love you to hear it back... I just wanted to tell you
I had a ring on my finger
If you love two guys at the same time then you don't really love either one enough.
Any man who can drive safely while kissing a pretty girl is simply not giving the kiss the attention it deserves.
Not many men may be willing to die for love these days. But you can’t escape the fact that millions are dying daily for the very lack of it. -John E. Large
"The only thing about romance is that people only get together right at the very end" - Love Actually
The heart has its reasons which reason knows nothing of.
and time on my hands
The woman in me needed
the warmth of a man
The gold turned cold
in my wedding band
It's just a ring on your finger
When there's time on your hands
