REASON FOR ADMISSION: Cervical lymphadenopathy.

HISTORY OF PRESENT ILLNESS: The patient is a 20-year-old

Caucasian female who presents to the KU emergency department with

painful cervical lymphadenopathy. The patient had a history of this

painful lymphadenopathy since October 2007. She was seen in Overland

Park Regional and had a fine needle aspiration done of the cervical

lymph nodes. She was told it was some kind of lymphoma likely

Hodgkin. However, the pathology samples and report have been lost

and cannot be confirmed at this time. The patient denies any recent

night sweats, fever, or any other B symptoms.

PAST MEDICAL HISTORY: Asthma, depression, and insomnia.

Allergies, no known drug allergies.

PHYSICAL EXAMINATION: Findings on initial physical exam. Vital

signs: Temperature 37.3, blood pressure 111/56, pulse 105,

respirations 18, and SpO2 97% on room air. Neck: Bilateral

supraclavicular lymphadenopathy with exquisite tenderness to

palpation on both supraclavicular and infraclavicular palpation.

Pulmonary: Chest was clear to auscultation bilaterally.

Cardiovascular: Tachycardic with no murmur, rub or gallop. Skin:
