“oh god what are you going to do?” Eliese asked from the
backseat.
“shhh don’t bother me” I said pulling over to the side of the
road. The cop pulled up behind me and got out of the car, I got out and met him
before he got to my car.
The others watched out the windows as Brianna walked over to the
officer, gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
“whos that?” AJ asked “does she know him?”
“um looks it” Amanda said “I don’t know who he is though”
they watched some more and a few minutes later the officer
walked away and Brianna got back in the car.
“what happened?” Eliese asked
“oh nothing” I said starting the car and pulling back onto the
road.
They all looked at her, looking for more answeres.
“soo he just let you go?” AJ asked
“that’s my cousin” I said “like he was going to arrest me”
“oh well maybe I should drive” Nick said
“no im fine” I replied “now stop freekin annoying me”
“sorry, but its not my fault that your drunk and driving us to
some place I’ve never seen before in my life”
“im not drunk” I yelled “if I was drunk I’d be swirving all over
the road like this” I swirved all over the road acting like a drunk driver “see
im fine”
“whatever” he mumbled turning his eyes back to the road.
“don’t be a jerk to me Nick, I didn’t do anything to you”
“um…yeah you…” he started
“hey I don’t want to hear you two fight so just shut up” AJs
said leaning up from the back seat.
I just drove without saying anything for the rest of the ride.
We reached the bridge taking us across the bay to the beach about an hour
later.
“theres no palm trees here?” Nick asked
“noooo we have pine trees instead” I said
“that’s weird” he said
I rolled my eyes and drove around a corner to a strip of very
expensive looking houses.
“wow those houses are nice” AJ said looking at them.
“wait till you see the one we’re going to” Eliese smiled “its
sooo cool”
“yeah its sweet” Amanda said laughing. “we must have been there
for the whole summer last year”
“yah remember when there was that fire in the kitchen and
Briannas parents went ape shit on us?” Eliese asked
“oh my god that was funny” Amanda laughed they looked up at
Brianna, she looked upset and acted like she didn’t hear anything.
“Brianna, are you ok?”
“im fine” I said keeping my eyes on the road.
“your too quiet its scary” Eliese laughed
“leave me alone” I said quietly a few minutes later I pulled up
to a gate and got out to unlock it. I got back in the car and drove up the long
driveway to the big house.
“oh wow” AJ laughed sticking his head out the window. “this is
almost better than my house”
“yeah Briannas grandmother left it to her family in her will”
Amanda explained to them as they got out of the car and gathered their bags
from the trunk.
I walked up to the door and slipped the key in the lock. I
turned the knob and pushed the door open using my weight to force it open.
Going into the living room I smiled seeing the pictures of me
and my friends that I had hung on the wall.
“this looks like your parents never come here” AJ said noticing
the style of furniture and the colors.
“no they havent been in a while” I said throwing my bag on the
floor. “they don’t like the beach, when I turn 18 they’re giving me this house.
I cant wait. Im gonna come here all summer and never leave”
“yeah im coming too” Amanda laughed
everyone looked at Nick who was standing by the entry way with a
less than happy look on his face.
“and your problem would be?” I asked
“you” he said giving me a dirty look.
“fuck you too Nick. I never said you had to come”
“I know I should have stayed home”
“go then you know the way”
“no actually I don’t”
“whatever shut up” I yelled “come on you guys lets go get our
rooms and then we can go out”
they followed me up the stairs and I stood at the top.
“my room is last on the right. Amanda usually gets the one next
to it and Elieses is across from hers. Theres three others so take your pick” I
said pointing down the hall.
Nick chose one that was on the exact oppisite end of the house from mine.
“umm Nick that bed…” Amanda started but I hit her side.
“is nice for you cause its farhtest away from me”
“okay now what?” AJ asked coming out of the one he picked across
from Amandas and next to Elieses.
“we go out” I said
“wait why do we do whatever you say?” Nick asked
“because im the damn boss” I said looking at him smugly. (*lol
Amanda thanks*)
“well I’ll stay here” he said
“no that’s ok, you’ll come. I don’t want you in the house alone
you might ruin it”
he just sighed and looked away from me.
“ok im going to get ready” I said walking into my room and
closing the door.
5 minutes later
AJ was downstairs waiting for everyone else to come down. Eliese walked down
first wearing a black skirt and a dark gray midriff top.
“hey Eliese, you look hot” he smiled kissing her cheek.
“thanks AJ, as always so do you”
they looked over as Amanda walked in wearing a black bikini top
and jean shorts. AJ stared at her for a minute and then smiled.
“Amanda, you look hot too”
“thanks AJ” she laughed sitting down on the couch to wait for
Brianna and Nick.
Nick came down and plopped down on the chair. He was fed up with
everything and was down to his last nerve.
I walked down the stairs wearing a light green dress that went
way above my knees.
“hey Brianna, you look nice. Nick I think we chose the right
place to spend the weekend” AJ smirked
“oh yeah” Nick said sarcasticly.
“ok we can go” I said walking out, but not before giving Nick an
evil look.
A few minutes later we ended up at a little club on the
boardwalk. AJ was having fun dancing with Amanda and Eliese, while I sat at the
table drinking. Nick sat on the other side doing what I thought to be sulking.
I couldn’t figure him
out. One minute he was all sweet and nice, the next he was annoying the shit
out of me.
AJ danced with both Eliese and Amanda, he couldn’t figure out
who he liked better.
Amanda was really pretty had a great personality and was just
fun to be around.
Eliese was pretty also a great personality and had this sort of
innosence to her that made him like her.
He just sighed hoping that he wouldn’t fall for both and get
himself in another mess.
“hey AJ, we know this really cool place about a block from here,
its much better. Wanna go?” Amanda asked him.
“sure” he smiled. All three of them walked out.
Nick sat at the table not knowing that the other three had left
and that he was now incharge of Brianna and making sure she didn’t get into any
trouble.
At first he had liked her, she seemed like a really nice girl.
But as soon as he saw her drunk side he could not stand her at all.
“hey Nick, why are you such an asshole?” I asked looking over at
him.
“im not an asshole. Im just sober” he shot back.
“don’t do that to me you shit head. Don’t act like you didn’t do
anything to me”
“I don’t want to argue with you right now” he yelled getting up
and walking out. I quickly finished my drink and ran after him.
“well I want to argue with you so stop and talk to me
damnit”
he stoped and turned around. “fine talk”
“why are you being like this”
“me? What did I do? You’re the one whos…” he stopped seeing me
run for the bushes.
Nick watched as she threw up in the bushes, he felt bad. He went
over and pulled back her hair and rubbed her back.
“you alright?” he asked softly
I nodded and wiped away my tears.
“see that’s what happens when you drink. Bad bad girl”
I smiled a little. “im sorry”
“its ok, we’ll go home and you can tell me all about it”
“I think im going to fall over”
“ok then I’ll carry you” he picked me up and carried me towards
the house.
Amanda Eliese and AJ walked into another club and sat down at a
table sipping drinks.
“hey im gonna go call home for a minute ok?” Eliese said
standing up.
“ok” Amanda and AJ said.
“she doesn’t even seem to care that her mom died this morning”
AJ said when Eliese was out of ear-shot.
“I know, but its her way of dealing” Amanda said looking at AJ.
He was staring at her with a smile on his face. “what? Do I have lipstick on my
teeth?”
“umm no” he said smiling still.
“then why are you smiling at me like that?” she laughed
“cause…” he leaned closer to her “I like you” he placed a small
kiss on her lips and then pulled away.
“AJ…I like you too” she whispered he pressed his lips agaisnst
hers again. this time for longer.
“hey Amanda can I barrow a quarter…what the hell is going on?”
Eliese yelled
