December
3rd Brian and Melissa were busy planning things for their wedding.
“uhhh im exhausted” Melissa said
letting out a yawn.
“me too” Brian agreed “but you
know what Mel”
“what” she asked
“pretty soon all this wedding
stuff will be over and we’ll be married”
“finally” she sighed “after
Howie died I didn’t think we would ever get around to it”
“please Melissa” he said “you
know I hate talking about it”
“I know Bri, its just I still
cant belive Howies dead, and they stopped the investigation. How is he supposed
to rest in peace if his killer is still running around”
“I know” he said “but they had
no leads they hand no evidence. How would they build a case on a bunch of crazy
stories”
“nevermind Brian, forget I
brought it up again. im sorry lets just go to bed”
“ok” he said taking her hand and
walking upstairs. They changed and climbed into bed. “I love you Melissa”
“I love you too Brian” she said
leaning over and kissing him.
Laura
and AJ drove to the cematary to visit Howie. They had been every week since he
died. Even when they were touring AJ made sure there was atleast one day a week
where him and Laura could fly back and visit. Most weeks the others would come
too but they were all busy lately, Brian and Melissa with the wedding, Kevin
and Jennah also were helping Brian and Melissa with their wedding. Nick and
Ginas baby was due in a couple weeks and they were busy preparing for that.
“hey Howie” AJ said kneeling
down infront of the head stone with Laura beside him.
“look Howie, we brought a
christmas tree for you” Laura smiled setting down a miniature decorated tree.
“and we brought you a gift” AJ
set the tiny wrapped box under the tree. “and were all going to a new years
party in new york on new years eve you better be there”
“but it will probably just be us
Kevin and Jennah going because Gina and Nick will probably just had a baby and
Melissa and Bri will be on their honey moon”
“hey guess what” AJ said “Meg
called me yesterday, shes coming down here in a few weeks to vist you”
“yeah her dad just died though,
but im sure you know that if you see him tell him we said hi” Laura said they
stayed there for another hour before leaving.
(*AN: that was very hard to
write, have you ever had a one sided conversation?*)
Nick
walked back into the house after running to McDonalds because Gina had another
craving. He went into the kitchen where she was sitting and set the bag down on
the table.
“thank you” she said smiling
“welcome” he said kissing her on
the lips and putting his hand on her stomach. “hey baby, you almost ready to
come out of there”
“no” Gina said “it cant come out
yet, its not time”
“I mean when its time” he
laughed “but its only a couple weeks away”
“yeah” she said “when are we
going to finish the nursery”
“tomorrow maybe” he said sitting
down next to her. “are you excited Gina”
“not really” she said honestly
“im scared”
“scared about what”
“I don’t know” she shrugged “I
guess just being a mother, I never pictured myself being one this young”
“yeah I know” he said standing
behind her and massaging her shoulders. “but it will be ok, I think you’ll make
a good mother”
“maybe” she sighed “im kind of
tired, im going to go upstairs and lay down”
“ok” he said helping her up. He
walked her upstairs and she laid down on their bed. He covered her up with a
blanket and kissed her forehead. “want me to run to the store and pick up
something for supper”
“yeah” she yawned
“ok I'll be right back, I love
you”
“I love you too” she said he
gave her another kiss and walked out. She fell asleep not long after he left.
Nick
walked back into the house and brought the bag into the kitchen.
“Gina must still be sleeping” he
said to himself walking upstairs. He glanced in their room and the bed was
empty. “Gina honey where are you” he called walking down the hallway and
checking the other rooms. He looked in the nursery thinking she would be in
there fixing things up, but she wasn’t. he went back to their room and saw
there was a note on the bed.
‘Nick we’ve got your girlfriend
and your baby, whatcha gonna do about it. Call your mommy and tell on us?’ then
laying on the bed was the ring he had given her for their anniversary.
“no no no” he said “they cant
have her, I thought it was over. Why the fuck cant they just leave us alone” he
ran downstairs and called the police he then called AJ Brian and Kevin. Brian
Melissa Jennah and Kevin were staying in orlando because they had to do a radio
station interview the following morning.
“hello” Brian said
“Brian they got her” Nick yelled
“Nick” he asked “what, who got
who”
“them the same guys that got
Howie they got Gina”
“how do you know”
“because they left me a note
when I went to the store”
“ok just calm down we’ll be
right over” he said hanging up.
Gina
opened her eyes and looked around.
“where am I” she asked sitting
up. “Nick”
“Nicky boy aint here” a voice
said as a man stepped out from the other room. He was wearing a mask so she
couldn’t see who he was.
“who are you” she asked
“ha” he said “im just going to
tell you right. I don’t think so” another guy walked in looked at her.
“nice going you got his girl” he
said slapping the other one a five.
“not just his girl, his pregnant
girl”
“ohhhh” he laughed “I bet hes
kickin himself in the ass right now”
“yeah” the other agreed “what do
we do with her”
“leave her here, we’ll figure
out what to do with her later on. We have to go now”
“ok” he walked over and grabbed
her arm. He handcuffed her to the bed and then slapped her across the face.
“stay quiet and don’t do anything stupid”
“come on” the other said they
walked out shutting off the light, and locking the door.
Gina sat on the bed and cried,
“help me Nick” she whispered
Nick
Brian Melissa AJ Laura Kevin and Jennah were all sitting in Nicks living room
after the police left.
“I cant belive this is happening
again” Laura said
“me either” AJ agreed “Howie
wasn’t enough”
“that’s it” Nick yelled standing
up. “I cant just sit here, im going to find those assholes and this time
they’re not getting away” he walked over to a desk and pulled out a shiny black
gun.
“Nick where did you get that”
Melissa asked
“I got it after Howie died” he
put it down the back of his pants and shut the drawer.
“Nick don’t go, the police are
taking care of it” Kevin said
“what are they going to do
Kevin, their not looking for her. Their waiting for someone to call them and
tell them where to look”
“fine we’ll go with you” Kevin
said
“yeah” Brian and AJ agreed also
standing up.
“no guys, don’t go” Melissa
begged “I don’t want you guys to get hurt”
“I don’t want Gina to get hurt”
Nick said
“don’t worry about us Mel” Brian
said giving her a kiss. “we’ll be back”
“ok I love you Brian, bye”
“love you too” he said
“I love you AJ” Laura said
hugging him tightly. “be careful”
“I will Laur, and I love you”
“Kevin you better come back to
me” Jennah said
“I will Jen” he kissed her a few
times. “I love you”
“love you too” she hugged him
and they walked out.
“where do we go” Brian asked as
they piled into Nicks durango.
“I don’t know” they said
“AJ if you were a killer where
would you be” Nick asked
“me” AJ said “why do I have to
be the killer”
“because you look like the
killer type. Now answer the question”
“lets see, I would be in chruch”
“church” Brian asked “why
church”
“I would pray for the Howie”
“AJ your no help” Nick said
“Kevin where would you be”
“why cant you be the killer”
Kevin asked
“why would I kidnap my own
girlfriend”
“because it sounds like
something you would do” AJ added
“shut up all of you” Brian said
“see Nick this is pointless, where would we look”
“Brian we just cant give up.
Gina is pregnant, if anything happenes to her I'll die. Not to mention the baby
too” Nick said looking at Brian in the rear view mirror.
“ok Nick I understand” Brian
said “but where do we look”
“I don…” he started “wait” he
pulled over and put his hands on the sides of his head as if he was thinking.
“what” AJ asked
“shhhh” he said “the note I
read, it said something on the back. like it was written on the back of
something”
“well what was it” Kevin asked
“hold on im thinking” he said
“the hilton”
“the hotel” Brian asked “why
would they be at a hotel”
“I don’t know Brian, but we have
to check” he said pulling back out into traffic. The nearest hilton was about
three hours from orlando, Nick drove there quickly and they jumped out.
“lets ask the front desk if
they’ve seen her” AJ said they walked up to the desk and a lady smiled at them.
“hello Mr.Carter how are you”
she smiled
“not real good Jamie” he said
she had been a friend of his for a long time.
“why whats up” she asked
“oh Gina got kidnaped” he sighed
“you didn’t see her around here did you”
“well I've never met her so I
don’t know what she looks like”
“heres a picture of her” he said
handing it to her. “shes pregnant though”
“oh she is congradulations Nick”
she smiled “wait I did see a couple guys carrying a pregnant girl in here a few
minutes ago”
“you did” he asked a little
hopeful.
“yeah, the guys were wearing
hats and sunglasses thought so I couldn’t tell you what room they were in im
sorry”
“no no that’s alright, thank you
so much for your help”
“your welcome if you need
anymore help just give me a call down here”
“thank you” he said walking off
twards the elevator with the other guys. When they got to the elevator they
were surprised to see the guys of nsync getting off.
“hey guys” chris smiled “long
time no see”
“yeah hows it goin” AJ asked
“pretty good, sorry to hear
about Howie” joey said
“thanks” they replied
“what are you guys doing here”
justin asked
“were looking for my girlfriend”
Nick said “you havent seen her around here have you, shes pregnant and has
brown hair”
“no…wait yeah, we saw her. She
was with some guy except they were leaving” JC said as the elevator door
opened.
“oh well were just going to give
it one check anyways” Kevin said “thanks for your help”
“no problem” they said walking
away. They got on the elevator and started at the 10th floor which
was the top.
“so what do we do just like walk
around looking for an open door” AJ asked
“we could knock on the doors and
ask if anyone has seen her” Kevin suggested
“but if the kidnaper opens the
door and we ask if hes seen Gina of course hes going to say no” Brian said
“good poing Brian, so we’ll just
call her name because if shes in there she’ll hear us and hopefully yell to us”
Nick said they walked down the hall calling her name, sometimes people would
ask if they could help and they would tell them whats going on and ask if
they’ve seen her. The only tip they got was that one lady saw a guy with a mask
coming out of room 7021. so they decided to try that room.
Gina was sitting in the dark
room crying again. two men had just been in there and had beaten her up pretty
badly. She was worried about the baby because she was hit in the stomach
several times, and it had stopped kicking. The men had said they wanted the
guys, and that’s the reason they were doing it to her. As a way to get to them
and make them mad. She snapped out of her thoughts when she heard some knocking
on the door. She stayed quiet because she didn’t know who it was or if they
would hurt her.
“hello” she heard Nicks voice
say from outside the door.
“Nick” she yelled “Nick”
“Gina is that you” he asked
“yeah”
“hold on I'll be right there” he
said “someone go get the key to this room from Jamie” he ordered Brian ran off.
“Nick are you still there” Gina
asked scared that she hadn't really heard him and that he wasn’t there.
“im here Brian went to get the
key” Nick said as Brian ran back up. “thanks Bri” he said putting the little
card in the slot and opening the door. Kevin turned on the lights and Nick ran
over to Gina. “oh my god honey are you ok” he asked sitting down on the bed
next to her. She was crying and still handcuffed to the bed. Kevin called the
cops so that they could get the handcuffs off of her.
“im ok” she cried “but the baby
its not kicking anymore, and…and they hit my stomach”
“shhh its alright” he said
wiping her tears off her face. “we’ll get you to the hospital and check it out”
a
later that night after talking to the police and getting Gina checked out at
the hospital they were on their way home. The doctor said that the baby was
fine. Gina was still shooken about the whole incident but tried not to show it.
“were back” Brian said when they
walked into Nicks house.
“did you find her” Jennah asked
“yeah” AJ replied “she was at
the hilton”
“wow you got kidnaped in style”
Laura laughed Gina walked upstairs without saying a word to anyone else. Nick
took the gun out of his pocket and put it back in the desk.
“thank you guys, I'll give you a
call” Nick said walkling upstairs also.
“bye” they said walking out and
closing the door behind them.
