Chapter 12

The girls rushed to get ready.  Luckily they had packed some 
dressy clothes in case of an emergency.  Stacy wore a simple, 
yet elegant low-cut black spaghetti strap dress that complemented her
perfectly and fell just above her knees.  Her make up was natural and 
her hair was held together with black butterfly clips with curls coming 
out of everywhere.  Mouse wore a burgundy tight velvet dress that was alot 
shorter than Stacy's.  She wore her curly hair down and her make up was a little 
heavier than Stacy's.

The guys knew they had plenty of time to get ready so they took 
their time.  Nick wore a beige thin long sleeve sweater with black 
dress pants.(AN: I took the idea from what he wore to the 1999 MTV 
music awards) He spiked up his hair (AN: Think Teen People cover shot.) 
and was ready in 20 minutes.  AJ wore dark green leather pants and a 
semi tight black shirt.  He too spiked up his hair.

The guys were ready and waiting down stairs for the girls.

"We better hurry cause it's been 45 minuets already." Stacy said 
as she looked around for her other black strap heal.

"I'm almost done." Mouse said as she applied her last touches of
make up.

Downstairs

"Girls, always running late." AJ said as he looked down at his watch.

At that moment the two girls walked down the stairs and the guys' 
jaw dropped

"Wow, you look great." Nick said to Stacy as he looked at her, 
everything was perfect her hair looked great and her dress showed 
off her figure with just a hint of cleavage.

"You don't look so bad yourself." Stacy told Nick, she loved his 
sweater, it showed off his nice body, and his hair looked cute, 
all spiky, she looked into his blue eyes, they were the same kind 
blue eyes she knew as a child.

"You look delicious." AJ told Mouse, her tight velvet dress was 
driving him crazy.

"Thanks babe, you too." said Mouse chuckling at AJ compliment.

"Shall we?" asked AJ.

The two couples left arm and arm and arrived at the restaurant shortly 
after.  They sat down, and ordered food.  Not too many people were 
there cause it was so late, and the few people that were there were 
couples too busy to notice anyone.  Throughout dinner they talked 
and laughed, after dinner AJ noticed some soft Italian music playing 
so he decided to ask Mouse to dance.

AJ got up and held out his hand to Mouse, "Would you like to dance?" 
AJ asked in his best Italian accent.

"Yes, I would love to." answered Mouse, in her best Italian accent.

Nick stood up and held out his hand to Stacy and she took it.  
They were dancing so close their bodies were pressed together and her 
head was resting on his chest, she could feel his heart beating.  It 
seemed as though their bodies fit perfectly.  Nick could smell her 
hair, which smelled like strawberries.  As he held her he felt as if 
he had to protect her.  They both close their eyes and swayed to the 
music for awhile.

"Look at those two." whispered Mouse to AJ referring to Nick and Stacy.

"I see a love connection." AJ whispered back.

"Yeah, they're perfect for each other."

"We better get going, it's getting late." AJ said looking at his watch, 
it was almost midnight.

AJ went over to Nick and tapped his shoulder, "Hey man, it's getting 
late."

"Oh, OK." replied Nick.

They paid the bill and this time the couples left hand and hand.

AJ was driving and Nick and Stacy were in the back.

Nick and Stacy finally spoke, "Do you want to go take a walk on the 
beach?" whispered Nick into Stacy's ear.

"I'd love to." responded Stacy back in a whisper.

When they arrived at Nick's house Mouse and AJ headed inside and Stacy 
and Nick headed to the beach behind Nick's house.  They took off their 
shoes and started to walk.

"It's a beautiful night out, huh?" Stacy said as she walked next to Nick.

“Not as beautiful as what I’m looking at.”

Stacy looked up at Nick and blushed when she realized he was looking at her.

“No one has ever told me I’m beautiful.”

“Really?” Nick asked with disbelief.

“Yeah, it’s usually, you’re hot or you look good.”

“I wanted to say thankyou again, Nick for everything, I’ve had the best time and…”

“Shhh.” Nick said as he placed his finger up to her lip.

“I want to thank you,  I’ve been so lonely on the road these past few months,
you have made me feel alive again, and I love having you around.”

“I, I don’t know what to say.” Stacy was in disbelief, she couldn’t believe what 
Nick was telling her, HE actually liked having HER around.

“You don’t have to.”  Nick leaned down and kissed her.

When their lips touched the two of them felt an instant connection, like they were
meant to be together.  Stacy felt as though she would melt right there and time stopped.
