Chapter 14

Stacy was the first to wake up the next morning.  She walked around the house to see
 if anyone was up. 

'I guess everyone is still asleep' Stacy thought.  She decided she was going to go
 for a morning swim.  She slipped on her bikini, grabbed a towel and headed to the pool.  
While she was swimming laps she thought of what happened last night.  
She felt like she was in heaven.  SHE was Nick Carter's girlfriend and she was going to dance in a 
Backstreet Boys concert.  It all happened so fast, 
too fast.  She wondered if Nick really liked 
her for who she was and not for what she looked like.  She knew Nick was Surprised with how she looked and she hoped that Nick would not break her heart 
because she really cared for him.

Nick woke up around noon and the first thing that came to his mind was Stacy.  
He was thinking about how much he liked her.  Sure at first it was a physical attraction but the more he spent time with her, the more he seemed to like her for who she was.  It had been a long time since he had had fun with someone without it being work related.  He loved spending time with her, she was kind, funny, outgoing, like no one he had ever met.  Nick got an idea; he would take her out on a picnic.  He hoped in the shower and got dressed into some shorts and a t-shirt.  He walked downstairs and wondered where everyone was.  He looked out back by the pool and he saw Stacy lying out in the sun and it looked like she had been swimming.  He walked outside to the pool area and Stacy noticed him right away.

"Good morning, or should I say good afternoon sleepyhead."

"Ha, Ha funny, good morning to you too." Nick said as he gave Stacy a quick kiss on the lips. 
 "I have a surprise for you."

"A surprise? I love surprises, what is it?"

"Can you be ready in 15 min.?"

"Sure, where are we going?"

"That's part of the surprise."

"Oh, OK, what should I wear?"

"Something comfortable."

"Oki dokie."

Stacy hurried up stairs and took a quick shower, she swept up her hair in a ponytail
 put on some jean shorts, a baby blue halter top, and slipped on some sandals.

**At the same time**

Nick grabbed a basket and stuck in some lunch and dessert.  He quickly grabbed a
 blanket and put it all in the trunk of his car and waited for Stacy.

"I'm ready to go." Said Stacy as she walked downstairs.

They headed into the car, but before Nick started the car Nick handed Stacy a blindfold.

"You need to put this on"

"Why?"

"Cause its part of the surprise."

"If you say so." Stacy put on the blindfold.  "Ok, it's on"

Nick started the car and they drove off.  Nick had the perfect place in mind.  He was
 taking her to a park.

When they arrived at the park Nick told Stacy to stay in the car.  He grabbed all of the
 stuff from the trunk and spread out the blanket.  He walked over to his car and took Stacy's
 hand.

"OK, come with me."

Stacy held on to his hand for her dear life because she had no idea where she was.  
He told her to sit down and she did as she was told.

"Now you can take the blindfold off."

Stacy took off the blindfold and gasped.

"Wow, a picnic, I am totally surprised, thankyou Nicky." As she reached over and gave
 him a hug.  Nick had picked the perfect spot, it was right under a huge tree with plenty 
of shade and a few feet away was a lake and there were no people around.

"I'm glad you like it."  Nick didn't like it when people called him Nicky but he liked the
 way Stacy said it.

"Like it? I love it!"

"Are you hungry?"

"Yeah, what did you pack?"

"Nothing too fancy, a couple of ham and cheese sandwiches some chips, a couple
 of cokes, and for dessert strawberries dipped in chocolate."

"Sounds yummy, lets eat."

 Nick and Stacy ate lunch and talked about nothing and they fed each other strawberries.  
After they finished Stacy sat up against the tree and Nick rested his head on her lap while
 she played with his hair.

"I'm so excited about tomorrow."

"Are you nervous?"'

"I don't know, but I probably will be, as long as I get to dance with you I'll be fine."

"We'll see what Fatmia wants to do, she'll figure out something."

"What time is rehearsal?"

"Eight o'clock sharp."

Late in the afternoon Stacy and Nick headed back home.  Stacy headed to Mouse's 
room to tell her about the concert.

"Mouse, what's up girl?" Stacy said as she walked into her room.

"Nothin' much just watching some TV, where did you go?"

"Nick surprised me with a picnic in the park."

"Aww how sweet."

"Yeah, I know, I really like him Mouse."

"Have you too hooked up yet."

Stacy just smiled.

"You did, oh my god, I'm so happy for you girl, you two are perfect for each 
other."

"Thankyou, oh by the way what's up with you and AJ?"

"We're just taking it slow, ya know?"'

"Yeah, Oh guess what Nick asked us?"

"What?"

"He asked if we would like to dance in the concert on Friday."

"Are you for real?"

"Yep."

"Oh my, you said yes right?" Mouse said excitedly.

"Of course silly."
