untitled part I

The black horse ran through the forest, dodging the enormous tree trunks and leapt over holes in the ground. Its silky mane wisped back and forth and its hoofs stamped the ground. The horse was gently hit in the ribs indicating it to go faster. The horse obeyed and ran with all its might.

Behind it, a group of angry men with pistols, followed. The angry men wanted the man that sat atop the black horse. Shots flew threw the air but missed the slender man as he rode low.

The chase had been long and arduous. The man and the black horse could not be stopped. No matter how fast the mob seemed to be going, that man and his black horse seemed to go faster. The man in front of the mob had gotten close. So close that he could see the muscles working in the black horses legs. He pulled out his gun and aimed it at the mans back. As he pulled back the trigger the horse leapt up into a black whole between two large trees and vanished. The mob stopped instantly. The close gunman stopped and looked into the black abyss amazed at the disappearance he had just witnessed. Confused, the mob withdrew and turned around to go home.

At a quiet stable, the man and black horse landed in a grassy field. The horse stopped and blew out a heavy breath of air. The man on top stoked the horse knowing what a powerful creature she was. The man began to laugh at the realization that he outwitted another mob and speared his life. The horse began to walk toward the stable and the man thought back on his adventurous afternoon.

He had gotten hungry and wanted to eat. He found his horse and they traveled to a little town about 15 miles away. They traveled the distance and came upon the town. Once they were in the middle of the town, the man tied his beloved horse and went to search for the perfect snack.. He came across a beggar. He looked about 19 years old. He was an attractive fellow with dark hair and dark eyes. The beggar asked for a coin and the man said he would give him one for a favor. The man took the beggar by the hand and led him to an abandoned shop. Once inside the man began to talk to the beggar.

“What is your name?” he asked with interest.

“Peter, sir.” The beggar replied.

“Peter is a very nice name. Would you like to know what my name is?”

“You don’t have to tell me sir.” Peter told him. “I am just a beggar not an important man.

“But you are important to me. My name is Joshua, and I will take good care of you. ” The man said as he stroked Peter’s check and looked into his innocent brown eyes. Joshua brought Peter closer and began to kiss him. Peter tensed up but Joshua comforted him. “Don’t be afraid Peter. I would never hurt you.”

Peter smiled back and leaned into Joshua’s kiss. Joshua brought his hand on the beggars neck and began to feel on it. Peter’s neck was beautiful. It was long and was smooth and had a long vein protruding out, blood vigorously pumping through.

Joshua clenched Peter’s neck as he continued to kiss him with an even harder force. Peter whimpered and tried to move from his grip. Joshua’s strong hold could not be broken. Peter began to pull away but Joshua could not let that happen. He stopped kissing Peter and pulled his head back. He opened his mouth to reveal two pointy fangs. Peter opened his mouth and screamed. To silence him, Joshua quickly sank his teeth into his white neck and began to suck. The delicious taste of the crimson blood filled his mouth. A rumbling of feet stopped him at mid feast.

“I think I heard it come from this direction.” A man said. He heard more feet coming towards the abandoned shop. Peter was dead. His lifeless body hung in Joshua’s arms. There was still some blood in him and Joshua desperately wanted it, but had to flee. He left Peter there and ran out of the shop.

“There!” Someone shouted. “There he goes!”

Peter jumped on top of his horse and rode out of the town, an angry mob following.

The fellow in front of the mob had gotten quite close to him but he outwit all of them by disappearing into the deep black forest.

Joshua leapt off his horse and walked her into her stable. He tied her up with care and brushed her shiny fur.

“Hello Joshua, I see you are back.,” a familiar voice said. He turned to see a beautiful woman. Her jet black hair pulled back to reveal her features. Her sea blue eyes bore into his as she spoke once more, “I hope you had fun on your getaway. Did you go after any poor boys again?”

“No, I didn’t.” Joshua said as he stood up and walked passed her.

“You are a liar Joshua. I can smell the awful beggar’s blood on your breath.”

“Katrina, why must you hound me so? So I have a fascination with poor boys. They intrigue me for some reason I do not know. They seem so lost and innocent.” Joshua explained.

“I hound you because I am your sister. Why chase after poor boys when you can be in the likes of princes? You waste your time my dear brother.”

They walked out of the stable and Joshua stopped as his eyes lay on the most beautiful man he had ever seen. He was busy nailing a horseshoe on a horses hoof. His blond curls hung wildly and shined in the sunlight. His eye intense as they were focused on the job he was doing. His fitted shirt showed his toned chest and arms.

“Katrina, who is that boy over there?” Joshua asked without taking his eyes off of him.

“Him? That is a new stable boy. I believe his name is Justin. He is adorable isn’t he?” she asked teasing her love struck brother.

“Yes, he is.”

“Would you like me to introduce you to him?”

“No, no, I would rather meet him on my own terms Katrina.” Joshua declined not wanting his sister to take advantage of his love stricken state.

“Whatever you wish my dear brother,” she said as she made her way back to the stable leaving her brother to stare at the beautiful boy.

Justin looked up and his eyes met the intense blue eyes of Joshua. Embarrassed, Justin quickly looked down nailing the horseshoe into the rough huff once again. A grin slowly spread across Joshua’s face. He turned on his heel and made his way into the emormous white house feet away from the stable.

Night had come over the country side, inviting everyone to rest and sleep. Dreams were coming to sleeping souls, yet Joshua lay in bed his eyes opened wide, thinking only of the stable boy he saw this afternoon. Joshua quickly dressed and made is way to the attack. The attack was dark and Joshua’s senses were keen. He sniffed, smelling the wonderful scent of Justin. He followed the scent to the last door of the long hallway. Just behind that door lay his love. Joshua walked through the door and was in the room. Ahead was Justin, lying on a hay mattress, curled in a ball with a tattered cloth wrapped around him. Joshua quietly moved closer to Justin. He positioned himself next to Justin on the mattress, careful not to disturb the sleeping boy. Once he was comfortable, Joshua rested his head on Justin’s strong chest. Joshua could hear the blood pumping throughout Justin’s body, his heart busily working as he slept. Joshua held back the urge to sink his teeth into Justin’s neck.. Not this one, he told himself, he is special. He had not had a meal all day. His shook from the hunger. The hunger was so great it pained him. He could easily suck on Justin’s neck without waking him up or killing him. But Joshua resisted. He closed his eyes and let sleep come over him.
