Track 8

Meanwhile back at the house there stood now three rather confused men and two women in the same state. {Apparently when Grace woke up to go to the bathroom she had shoved Lance off of her and onto Brandi waking both of them up in the process.) JC looked around the room and gave a bit of a chuckle

"So does anybody know what Grace's little inside, outside, inside, outsied stunt was about?" JC asked looking around one more time, "Brandi? Susan? You guys probably know her the second best but Joey's gone too. LANCE! Yeah, Lance, what up with your girlfriend? Or..." JC was cut off.

"Shut up, Jayce!" Chris exclaimed, "Nobody knows what's with either of them so lets just relax til they get back then you can play your little game of twenty questions on them."

~BACK AT THE PARK~

"So you came up here to get your mind off of everything thats going on in that cute little red head of yours?" Grace asked trying to get a smile out of him at least, if for any reason at all just to lighten the mood in those beautiful brown eyes. Those sad eyes. It worked to a certain extent.

"No, not really. I came up to think. To have some quiet time, and since it was dark I figured nobody would be here and no one would recognize me so no one would interrupt me." he said staring off into the night the dark of mid-autumn. As the snow flakes began to fall and he shivered but he wasn't sure if it was from the cold.

Grace looked up as snow flake fell on her cheek quickly melting away, "Sorry, Joey, you just seemed quite upset. I wanted to fix whatever I did wrong."

Joey looked over and laughed, "Don't be sorry, G, it's not your problem you didn't do anything. And besides, you were a very welcome distraction. Believe me."

Looking around Grace actually finally noticed the snow that had begun to fall about five minutes earlier. "It's pretty dark and Jayce needs that Tylenol and it's cold so I'm gonna go. If you want to, just go home. I'm gonna drive up to DrugMart. So when you feel like it go on back to Grandma's...you know the way." She said dancing around her words feeling guilty for disturbing him.

"Grace!" he said quietly.

"What?"

"Don't do this to me."

"What? Do what to you? I'm not doing anything to you."

"You don't know. You, you, you don't realize what you do to me talking like that. I can't stand you sounding so sad."

"Don't use your lines on me. Seriously, Joey."

"Seriously, Grace, that's not a line. Don't you know me better than that by now? I don't play like that and you know it. I don't feed lines at times like this."

"Times like what, Joey? do you even know what's going on here?"

"Serious. Serious conversations. Why, what are you talking about?"

"Nothing. Sorry. I really gotta go. See you at the house. I'll get JC his Tylenol. Bye" and with that Grace turned to leave.

"Grace? Sorry for whatever I did. See you later." Joey called after her. Then more to himself than anybody he said, "Sorry I couldn't tell you." He didn't want to tell her, he didn't want to do that to Grace or Lance but still...he couldn't bear to look at them together. He glanced arould at the snow falling harde now and begining to stick. "Dang snow belt! Well better be going don't want to be sick for the concert tomorrow." He said then got up and left.
