"Oh, how sweet," Taylor said sarcastically. "You'd want to be a vampire with Zac."
"Hey!" Jennifer said. "If I were a vampire, would you wanna be one with me?"
"Uh....of course," Taylor said.
"Liar!" Jennifer said and was going to whack Taylor with the pillow again, but this time Taylor blocked it, and pushed her down on the couch.
"Now what are you going to do?" he asked with an evil grin.
"Not on my couch!" Annie said, and they all burst into laughter.
"Yeah, get a room," Zac said.
"OK," Taylor said and grabbed Jennifer's hand.
"No," Jennifer said. "I want to watch the movie."
"Haven't you already seen it?" Taylor asked.
"No, now hush," Jennifer said. "Come sit down," he said as she patted the seat next to her. Taylor came and sat down beside her.
"You have trained him well," Annie giggled.
"No, he just loves me," Jennifer said and smiled.
Annie sat in Zac's lap on the end of the couch, and Jennifer snuggled against Taylor's shoulder during the movie. Once it was over, Annie asked, "Wouldn't it be weird to be a vampire?"
"Yeah, I think it would," Jennifer said as she sat up. "I mean, sucking blood and coming out only at night."
"Honestly, would we be willing to give ourselves up?" Annie asked.
"What do you mean?" Taylor asked.
"What if Jen was a vampire," Annie said. "Would you be willing to become one to be with her? Or, Jen, what if Taylor was a vampire, would you be willing to become one to be with him?"
"It would be hard, but, yes, I would," Jennifer said.
"I would too," Taylor said.
"You're just saying that cause Jen said she would," Zac said to Taylor.
"What about you, Zac?" Jennifer retorted. "Would you be willing to become one if Annie was one?"
Zac looked over at Annie and said, "Of course I would, there's no doubt about it."
"Thank you," Annie said and hugged him.
"See!" Jennifer said. "Zac didn't even stutter!"
"Enough about vampires," Taylor said. "Let's watch another movie."
"Sleepless in Seattle!" Annie and Jennifer said together.
Taylor and Zac moaned together. "Glad you approve," Annie said with a laugh.
"Before we start it, I'm going to go sit outside for a few minutes," Jennifer said. "It's so nice outside. I'll be back in a few minutes."
"OK," Annie said. "We'll wait on ya."
"Thanks," Jennifer said, stood up, and walked out of the door. She sat on the porch swing on Annie's porch and looked at sky. Taylor walked out behind her and sat on the swing beside her.
"Are you upset or something by my answer?" he asked seriously.
"No," Jennifer said.
"Well, then why do I get this strange feeling that you are?"
"Probably because I am," Jennifer admitted.
"Why?" Taylor asked.
"Oh, I don't know, Taylor, I just think that one of these days you'll see some girl at one of your concerts, and you'll fall in love with her or something."
"Jen, listen," Taylor said. "The only girl I love is you."
Jennifer looked into his blue eyes and instantly believed him. "Good," she whispered.
"Let's go back inside," Taylor said.
"Wait," Jennifer said. "I need to get Annie her shirt. It's still in your car, right?"
"Yes," Taylor said.
"Good," Jennifer said and jogged to the car. She pulled the bag out of Taylor's trunk and slammed the trunk shut. She heard some leaves rustling behind her, and she was instantly on alert. She thought she saw someone running across the street. Probably just a neighbor, Jennifer thought rationally.
"Are you OK?" Taylor asked. "You're so pale."
"It must be the cold," Jennifer said as she shivered.
"Well, come inside," Taylor said as he took off his sweater and wrapped it around her.
"You're going to freeze in that T-shirt," Jennifer scolded.
"Well, then, hurry up and get inside," Taylor said.
Jennifer stuck her tongue out at Taylor and they jogged inside. "Annie, I have a gift for you," Jennifer said as she walked into the living room.
"Aww, what for?" Annie asked.
"For getting your permit," Jennifer said as she presented the bag to Annie. "Just watch out for curbs," she said with a laugh. "Where did Zac go?"
"To the kitchen to fix him something to drink," Annie said as she dug her hand in the bag. "Ooohh!" she squealed as she pulled out the shirt. "I love it!" she said and gave Jennifer a hug.
"I thought it suited you," Jennifer said as she surpressed a giggle.
"Nice gift," Zac said as he walked back into the living room. "When are you going to wear it?" he asked Annie.
"Whenever," Annie teased. "Let's watch the movie," she said as she plopped onto the couch.
