The next day they all drove back to Tulsa. They decided to spend the day doing the things they loved best together. They played some paintball and Lazer Tag, then they went to the movies. They went out to eat. Then they went over to the Hansons and spend some time with the little kids. Zac and Annie spend some time with Annie’s little brother Michael. Then, that evening, it was time.
"Zac," Taylor said. He was speechless, he just didn’t know what to say. He shrugged his shoulders.
"I know Tay," Zac said. They looked at each other, then hugged.
"I’ll miss you little bro," Isaac said.
"I’ll miss you too," Zac said.
"Jen," Annie said.
"Oh, Annie!" Jennifer cried, wrapping her friend in a big hug. "I’m going to miss you so much!"
"I’ll miss you too," Annie sobbed. "But it’s not for forever! I’ll see you again! I promise!"
They kept hugging and crying, and then it was time for Jennifer and Zac to say goodbye.
"Zac," Jennifer said, wiping a tear from her eye. "You know you’re obnoxious and annoying…but I’ll miss you!"
"Ah, Jen!" Zac said. They hugged. "You’re a loud mouthed little bitch, but I’ll miss you too!" They pulled apart. "But like Annie said, it’s not going to be forever."
"Tay," Annie said. "Since Jen’s staying, make sure she feeds. If she doesn’t she’ll just be a walking zombie. Or worse, she’ll get so hungry the blood lust will take over and the next thing you know, she’s biting your neck."
"I’m not going to like it, but I will," Taylor answered solemnly.
"It’s time," Ike said.
They pushed they all piled into the little boat and set out onto the river. They were going to fake their own deaths.
Once they were far enough away from shore, so it wouldn’t be obvious, they tipped the boat over. Jen, Ike, and Tay yelled for help and grabbed onto the capsized boat, while Annie and Zac held their breath and swam away.
"Think they’ll be ok?" Jen asked as she watched the water where Zac and Annie once were.
"If I know Zac," Taylor said.
"They’ll be ok," Isaac finished.
