"Back away from her!" Zac ordered Taylor and Isaac.
"No way!" Taylor said and stepped towards Jennifer.
"Don't!" Isaac said and grabbed Taylor by the collar of his shirt.
"Let go of me!" Taylor hissed.
"What should we do?" Isaac asked, not letting go of Taylor.
"What should I do?" Jennifer asked quietly. "Isaac, Taylor, please just step out of the room," she said and turned away from them.
"I'll be back in a minute," Isaac said and drug Taylor out of the room.
"What should I do?" Jennifer asked Annie and Zac quietly. "I can't kill someone."
"You could just kill animals," Annie said.
"No way!" Jennifer shrieked.
"Listen, we'll be right back," Zac said and drug Annie out of the house.
"What?!?" Annie said once they were outside.
"We have to kill something for her," Zac said. "But let her know what it is after she drinks the blood."
"OK," Annie agreed. They found a bird and killed it, dripping the blood into a canteen. "Let's go," Annie said.
"Jen, drink this," Zac said.
Jennifer did as she was told. "What is this?" she spat after taking a small drink.
"Just drink it," Annie ordered.
Once Jennifer was finished, she asked, "What was that?"
"Bird's blood," Annie said solemnly.
"Oh my God," Jennifer wailed and sat on the couch.
"Are you OK?" Taylor asked as he rushed in the room.
"Yeah," Jennifer said and took a deep breath.
"Let's go to bed," Taylor said to the group.
The next morning, they all awoke at the same time. "Guys," Annie said, "I think Zac and I should go back."
"But what about our band?" Isaac asked. "Well, we could just not go on tour," he said quietly.
"What do we tell mom and dad?" Taylor asked.
"Yeah," Jennifer added. "It was hard enough keeping them off our backs when you two were gone earlier."
"I know," Annie mused. "We'll think of something."
"Let's have one final day together before you two leave," Jennifer said quietly.
