Chapter 33

"Ok. Well," Annie said, thinking. "Jen for sure isn’t a witch because the Harman in her family was in her step family. They weren’t blood related."

"At least we can be thankful for that!" Taylor said.

"But…why is she hurt by the sun?" Annie spoke her thoughts a loud.

"Could it be from when Keller drank her blood?" Isaac suggested.

"I’ve never heard of it happening…" Annie said. "At least, not in the books!"

"Maybe…" Zac said. "Well, the Keller thing is all I can think of!"

"What are you talking about?" Jennifer demanded. "God! I’m gone like, less then a week and already I’m out of the loop!"

"Jennifer," Annie said. "I don’t know what’s wrong with you, but we need to get you some help."

"Annie," Zac said quietly. "I know you’re not gonna like this, but I think the only option we’ve got is to go back to Circle Daybreak."

Annie sighed. She knew they had to do it. She nodded sadly. "I know."

"Do you remember the way?" Isaac asked.

"Um…Annie?" Zac said. "I was too busy hanging on for deal life."

Annie rolled her eyes. "Ok. I’ll drive."

"NO!" everyone yelled.

"I’ll drive," Isaac said.

So they drove on over to Circle Daybreak, only getting lost from Annie’s directions once.

"What are you doing here?" Iliana asked as she opened the door.

"Well, actually," Annie said.

"We’ve destroyed Keller…well, Annie did, and for some reason the sun hurts Jennifer," Zac spoke up.

"All right, come in," Iliana said. She led them to the living room and left to get Jez.

"So, Keller’s dead?" Jez asked.
