Chapter 19

"You can contact Jez and Morgeade then?" Jennifer asked.

"Yeah," he said.

"Then I need to talk to Annie!" Jennifer exclaimed. "Call them now!"

"Look, I can only call if it’s an emergency," Brian started to explain.

"It’ll be an emergency once I beat you down!" Jennifer yelled, raising her fists. "Now call!"

Brian, not wanting to take any chances with this girl, took out his phone and called.

"Yeah," he said. "I know its not an emergency…But she *really* wants to talk to the girl…All right…ok…just a sec." Brian handed Jennifer the phone. "Here, talk to your friend."

"Annie?" Jennifer said.

"Jen!" Annie said on the other end. "What were you thinking confronting Keller like that?!?"

"Look, I’m just trying to put an end to all this," Jennifer explained.

"Well, now Keller’s after you next," Annie informed her friend.

"So? I don’t care! Where are you anyway?"

"That’s not important! What do you mean you don’t care?!?" Annie demanded.

"I don’t! Let Keller get me! See if I care!"

"Jennifer! Get a hold of yourself! What about Taylor?!? What would you do then? If Keller got you and you had to be apart from Taylor?!?"

Jennifer didn’t reply. She just stood there holding the phone, a grim look on her face.

"Jen," Annie said gently. "Just promise me you won’t go off and do anything stupid."

There was no answer from Jen.

"Jen?" Annie said. "Promise me!"

"I promise," Jennifer said quietly.

"All right, Jez is telling me I can’t talk any more. I’ll talk to you soon, ok?"

"Yeah," Jen replied.

"Bye."

"Bye."

They hung up.

"Goodbye Brian," Jennifer said, and went back inside and to her room. In her mind she was planning it all in her head. How she would get Keller.

Little did Jennifer know, but Keller was planning the same thing.

"Little brats," Keller muttered to herself. "Now they’ve got Circle Daybreak with them…I’ve gotta do something. Jennifer. I hate her the most, she’s next." Keller paused to think. "But I won’t make her a vampire…and I won’t kill her…" Keller grinned. "I’ll just keep her and torture her until she’s lost enough blood to become a zombie!" She was laughing now. "Bitch won’t bother me again!"

Jennifer stirred in bed. She could hear someone calling her name. But not with her ears, the house was silent. The voice was inside her head. It was calling her. Telling her to go outside.

Jennifer, being the curious one, got out of bed, threw on a pair of jeans and her Old Navy sweatshirt and went to find out what it was that was calling her.

She stepped out into the cold night air. She pulled her jacked around her.

‘Jennifer,’ the voice in her head said. ‘down the street, Jennifer.’

She listened and walked down the street.

"You’re mine bitch!" Keller said, jumping out of the shadows and grabbing Jennifer.

Jennifer’s eyes grew wide with fear as Keller’s hand covered her mouth, preventing her to scream. She was trapped. No way out. Keller had her. She was sure to become a vampire now. She should have listened to Annie dammit! She didn’t though! She went out and did something stupid!

Jennifer was soon unconscious, Keller had drugged her with something in a cloth she had in front of Jennifer’s mouth and nose. And Keller took her to her hideout.
