“Good morning, Katlyn. Do you two plan on moving today?” Her father greeted.
She yawned again. “Ok.”
She slowly padded her way back to the bed where Justin was curled up.
“Justin…wake up.” She said gently shaking him. He stirred, but nothing more.
“Justin.” She tried louder. Still nothing happened, so she leaned down and touched her lips to his. His eyes fluttered open.
“Morning.” She smiled down at him.
“I could get use to waking up to this.” Justin smiled.
“How are you feeling?”
“Better.” He said sitting up.
“Good. My dad just came by…he wants us to start moving. We have to go meet my friends.” Katlyn reminded.
“Do I have to go?” Justin whined.
“You don’t have to, but I’m going.” She said getting up off the bed.
“Have fun.” Justin said lying back down and pulling the covers over him.
Katlyn laughed and went to her room. She got dressed and went back to Justin’s room.
“I’m leaving.” Katlyn said kissing his cheek.
“Mm hmm.” Justin mumbled, eyes closed.
“Feel better. I’ll be back soon, and if you need me, just call me.” Katlyn said leaving.
“Yes mom.” Justin said as she closed the door.
She walked down to the lobby. When she got down there, there were about fifteen guards waiting around.
“My friends were suppose to meet me here. Do you know if they’re here yet?” She said to Mike, one of the guards she knew.
“Um. There were a couple girls looking for you, but we didn’t let them in. Can you walk over to the window and point them out?” Mike asked.
“Yeah.” They walked over to the window and she immediately spotted them. She pointed them out.
“Ok, wait here. I’ll go let them in the car.” Mike said walking out. A couple minutes later he came back in.
“So curly’s not going with?” Mike asked.
“Nope. He’s not feeling good.”
“Thank god. That would cause a hell of a problem.”
“So, can I leave?” Katlyn asked.
“Hold on a second.” Mike went to talk to a couple other guards. A couple guards went out side and cleared the fans away from the front of the hotel. Mike walked back over. “I’ll walk you to the car.”
They walked out of the hotel and the screaming started. Girls yelled things at her trying to get something out of her. Nothing bad though. Mike made sure she was safely in the car, and then went back inside.
“Hey guys!” Katlyn laughed driving away.
“Do you go through that every day?” Jamie asked from the back seat.
“Not really. I go through something about one hundred times more then that when I’m walking out with the guys.”
Everyone laughed.
“So, I’m going to spend about two hours with you guys, and then I have to go visit family.” Katlyn told the others. Just then her phone started ringing.
“Laura, can you get that?” Katlyn asked.
Laura picked up the phone. “Hello?”
“Um…is Katlyn there?” Justin asked.
Laura handed over the phone. “It’s lover boy.”
Katlyn smirked and picked up the phone. “I just left, what do you want?”
“I just missed you.”
“I see you like twenty four/seven. Can I spend some time alone with my friends?”
“I can’t call you?” Justin pouted.
“If it’s an emergency, you can. Other wise, NO!”
“But I love you.” Justin pouted even more.
“Good bye, Justin.” Katlyn said hanging up when she heard him laughing.
“Justin Timberlake?” Jennifer asked.
“How many Justin’s do you know?” Katlyn laughed.
Katlyn drove to Santa Monica so she could hang out at the promenade like she use to with her friends. After two hours, they all went to her grandma and grandpa’s house, where she would meet all her family.
Katlyn knocked on the door.
“Katlyn? Is that you?” Her grandmother said answering the door.
“Hi grandma.” Katlyn said hugging her.
“Come in, come in.” Her grandmother said holding the door open for all her friends.
Katlyn walked in and hugged all of her family members. Her three aunts were there, her two uncles, and her four cousins.
“So, how’s Florida?” Her grandfather asked.
“It’s great. It gets kind of hot some times, but other then that-“ She was cut off by her phone ringing.
“Excuse me…Hello?” Katlyn said picking her phone up.
“Katlyn, when are you coming back?” Justin whined.
“Later. I have to go. Stop calling me!” Justin started laughing again. Katlyn hung up the phone.
“Sorry about that.” Katlyn apologized.
“So how’s the rest of the family?” Her aunt Alana asked.
“They’re fine. Michelle finally is back to her normal self, and Tyler is loving Orlando. Dad is kind of stressed though.”
They talked for a few hours and then left.
“Are you guys sure you want to go through all this?” Katlyn asked her friends as they pulled up in front of the hotel.
“Yeah.” Her friends all said.
Security came out and cleared the way so they could all get by. They went up the elevator and went to her room. Her dad wasn’t there.
“So where is Justin’s room?” Jennifer asked excitedly.
Katlyn laughed. “It’s right across the hall.”
Jennifer’s jaw dropped. “You mean the door right across from yours?”
“Yep.”
Her friends all squealed.
“Can we go see him?” Jamie asked.
“I would take you over there, but he’s not feeling good.”
“Wasn’t that him who kept calling you?” Reina asked.
“Yeah….We’re not going over there, ok?”
“So where’s Lance’s room?” Laura asked with an evil smile.
“UGH!…His room is next to Justin’s. Joey’s is next to Lance’s, and Chris’ is next to Lance’s. JC’s room is next to us.” Her friends squealed again.
Katlyn rolled her eyes. “I have a feeling we’re going to be talking about NSYNC all day.”
Katlyn’s phone rang again. “Who want’s to answer it?” Katlyn said holding her phone up. Reina grabbed it. “Tell him I died.”
“Hello?” Reina said answering the phone giddily.
“Is Katlyn there?” Justin asked.
“Um…she died.”
“Really? Well wake her from her sleep and tell her I need to talk to her.” Justin joked.
Reina passed the phone to Katlyn. “What Justin?!”
“I love you.” Justin said sweetly.
“Isn’t that cute. Do you need something?”
“I just wanted to let you know that I loved you.”
“You do know that I’m back right. I’m right across the hall.”
“Are your friends with you?” Justin asked.
“Yes.”
“Tell them to go away.”
“I can’t.”
“You’re no fun. Bye.” Justin said hanging up.
Katlyn laughed and hung up. “And I’m envied. You guys would go insane living in my shoes.”
“Yeah…right.” Kim said laughing.
They talked for about a half an hour longer, and then JC walked in.
“Kate, we’re leaving.”
“Ok. Come on you guys.” Katlyn said getting off the bed and following JC.
“Hey! It’s Katlyn’s friends!” Chris said loudly.
“Lets not scare any more people, got it Chris?” Katlyn said patting Chris on the back.
The other guys started laughing thinking back to when Tyler was scared of Chris.
“I don’t get it.” Kim whispered to the others.
Katlyn and her friends walked out first. They got in the car and drove to the venue. Pulling up through the crowd, Katlyn flashed her badge to the guards at the gate so they would let her in. She drove in and parked in the backstage area.
“You do this all the time?” Reina asked.
“Scary, isn’t it.” Katlyn said leading them into the venue.
Her friends all started sitting in the first row, but Katlyn went back to the third row.
“Katlyn, what are you doing back there?” Jennifer said turning around.
“It’s kind of a tradition…I have to sit in the third row, otherwise the guys get mad at me.” Katlyn explained.
Katlyn leaned back in the chair and put her feet up on the chair in front of her waiting for the guys to come.
“What’s taking so long?” Jamie asked.
“They have a quick meet and greet, then they come and warm up.”
“I can’t believe I have to come to another one of these. Why am I being dragged here again?” Julie asked. She wasn’t in to the whole boy band thing.
“You didn’t have to come.” Katlyn said. “Just admit it…you like NSYNC.”
Julie shook her head and turned around. The others laughed.
Fifteen minutes later the guys walked out and did a couple of their songs.
“Ok, come on.” Katlyn said getting up and starting to walk out.
“Where are we going?” Kim asked.
“You guys are getting special treatment…we’re going backstage.”
Her friends squealed yet again and followed her. They walked outside and went around the corner. Girls started yelling for them asking how they got in and if they could bring them in. Katlyn turned to them and said she was sorry but she couldn’t. Katlyn flashed her badge again and was let into the backstage area. Her friends looked around wide eyed.
Katlyn walked them to the N SYNC ‘Toy room’. The guys were scattered around playing different games.
“Katlyn!” Chris yelled running over to give her a big hug.
“You just get weirder and weirder everyday.” Katlyn said prying his arms off.
They sat around for a few hours.
“So, do you guys want to see the opening acts again, or do you want to hang out here?” Katlyn asked her friends.
“I want to stay here.” Kim said making her self more comfortable in the chair.
“I agree.” The others said.
They sat around for a few more minutes, but N SYNC left to get dressed for the show. Minutes later, her dad walked in.
“Kate, can you come here for a minute?”
“Yeah. I’ll be right back.” She said leaving her friends.
The door closed and her dad pulled her to the dressing room. “Justin’s asking for you…again.”
Katlyn smiled and walked in the dressing room. “What now, Justin?”
Justin stopped getting undressed and ran over to her. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her. Minutes later they pulled apart.
“I guess you’re feeling better.” Katlyn laughed.
“I’ve been wanting to do that all day.” Justin said walking back over to change. “So, are you having fun with your friends?” He pulled off his shirt and put on the concert shirt.
“Oh loads. They keep asking about you guys. At one point, they wanted to go visit you in your hotel room.” Katlyn said sitting in the chair next to him.
“Aww, I’m sorry.” Justin said bending down and kissing her again.
“It’s not your fault you have to be so darn cute.”
Justin laughed.
“I should probably go back. They’re already going to ask me a million questions as is.”
Justin gave her another kiss. “Ok, see you later.”
“Have a great show.” Katlyn said leaving the room and walking back over to her friends.
“Where have you been?” Jennifer asked.
Katlyn laughed. “Come on, let’s go.”
“Where are we going now?” Laura asked.
“VIP. I told you guys you would be getting special treatment.”
They were escorted to VIP and twenty minutes later, the show started. Once again, after “This I promise you”, Katlyn got up to leave.
“Come one, we need to go.” Her friends all followed her.
They all got in their car with a guard and went back to the hotel, so her friends could get their cars.
“I can’t believe we have to say good bye again.” Reina said hugging her.
“I know. But you guys are always welcomed to come and visit me. I’ll try to come back more often too.” Katlyn said hugging the rest of her friends.
Minutes later, the N SYNC tour bus pulled up. Justin popped his head out.
“We gotta go, Kate.”
She hugged her friends again.
“I’ll call you later.” Laura said as she got on the bus. Katlyn waved as the bus started moving.
As Katlyn turned around, Justin stood there with his arms open ready to hug her. She quickly wrapped her arms around him and softly cried into his chest. Justin sat down with her on the couch and stroked her head softly.
“I can’t believe I have to leave them again!” Katlyn cried into his chest.
Justin hugged her tighter and started humming “I’ll be good for you”.
She eventually cried herself to sleep. Justin picked her up and put her in her bunk at the back of the bus. He kissed her softly and tucked her in.
