Before I get to the songs, I have some things to say about the CD itself.. OK, I'm not even exagerrating, when I opened the CD my first thought was "Good Lord this thing's ugly!" Then when I took the CD out of the case, I literally screamed when I saw that freaking puppet/clown. It's scary and morbid and I hate it.
A few quick notes on the "Thank Yous"
Does Justy HAVE to make a ghetto reference to EVERYTHING?... at least he thanked Scraggles..
I got a kick out of Chris's "pug appeal" comment. No Cracknuts, you will NEVER live that down..
Joey is a retard.
Lance is the only one to thank Britney.. but WHY?
Yes, JC, you DO need therapy.
Does anyone get the "PS 5 RULEZ" If yes, enlighten me.
This pissed me off, NOWHERE in the 1999 Crew List do they mention The Stever.. wasupwitdat?
Oh, the pics are HOT.
Bye Bye Bye -
We've all heard it, learned the dance, can sing it backwards, and are sick of seeing it performed. It's starting to get old fast, please stop. I can see it turning into I Want You Back... "if I hear that song one more time... "It's Gonna Be Me - My fave song on the CD. I love when JC says "too blind, too see" Too bad my CD skips on it though. Ugh.
Space Cowboy - Oh My God. WTF is JC on? And Left Eye, I'd like to just bitch slap. This song is so bad, I'm embarassed that NSYNC sings it. Oh, anyone notice the whip right after "If you wanna fly" I wonder if Cracknuts used his own personal whip, because it seems to be common in every song he writes. The only part I like is "they've had enough" because mah' momma used to always say that when I lived with her.. lol, it was funny. Oh, side note, this is my one little sisters fave song, so me and my other sister lied and told her the CD skips on this song too. She has yet to find out we are liars. Yes, we are evil.
Just Got Paid - 1st impression was that it sucked, and was very corny. But it grows on ya after awhile, and hell.. it makes a reference to Kool - Aid. Chris wrote that all by himself? WOW. Genius, I tell ya. Oh, did anyone pick up on JC's "gonna have me a fucking good time" at the end?
It Makes Me Ill - I love this song a lot. It's GRAVY baby.
This I Promise You - I used to hate this song. A LOT. But It's one of my faves now, it's beautiful.
No Strings Attached - I hate the choppy beat. Again, co-written by JC, notice the whip? I like the song, but that beat really gets to me.
Digital Getdown - Cybersex. YAY. I love the break in this song.. nasty nasty freaky freaky. Oh Yeah. Oh by the way, yes, we have a whip.. digital digital getdown wha-poosh. That's my whip noise, wha-poosh. Whatever, it's late.
Bringin Da' Noise - Here We Go reincarnated. I like it though, cheesy pop at it's finest. (Whip throughout the chorus, co-written by JC, MM-Hmm.)
That's When I'll Stop Loving You - Ugh.
I'll Be Good For You - Rubes claps sexily. I didn't like this at first, but it grew on me because after listening to my one sister sing "JRT it's plain to see that you love only Ame" repeatedly, I got used to it. (Her name is Ame, obviously. She loves Justin. She has a Justin wall. It features a 4 page teeny mag picture where his fro is SERIOUSLY bigger than my head. Scary I tell ya.)
I Thought She Knew - This song is gorgeous, it's so funny to watch them sing it in the Pleasure Island concert from 1995, VAST improvement. They were SO off key. But it's beautiful now.
FINAL THOUGHT: After listening to the CD, I almost cried because they got rid of Lance... Oh, they didn't???? Nevermind...
