Part 1
“Why are you coming in so late? Have you been with those no good friends of yours?” Xander heard his mother ask somewhere to the left of him, she sounded drunk as usual. He bit back his instinctive retort knowing that it would just earn him a more brutal beating and he was feeling sore enough from the demon that had managed to catch him earlier.
Xander just stared at the floor knowing that his reply didn’t really matter; they would beat him up even if he answered them. As his father’s shadow fell over his face, Xander took a deep breath and paced himself; not reacting when his father kicked him in the stomach while his mother hit his legs. A part of his mind noticed that they were in a bad mood this time; normally they at least tried to avoid hitting him in places that might be seen.
Four hours later, Xander listened carefully for movement, hearing none he opened the door and sneaked up out of the basement, going to the only place he felt safe. He ran quickly through the streets of Sunnydale, ignoring the usual dangers, not caring if he died, at least it would stop the life of constant fear and pain he lived everyday.
Xander stopped outside the abandoned mansion that had been his secret sanctuary for months, a secret he still kept, each day wishing that his lover would return. Using the small side entrance, Xander made his way to the bedrooms, knowing the layout by heart.
Once back in what had been their room, he lay down on the bed and cried finally allowing himself to feel the pain he hid from the world. As he fell into a fitful sleep, Xander had the unmistakeable feeling of being watched.

“Its time, for us to act.” A calm male voice said, looking at the scene in the viewing mirror.
“Have you found the others, Nia?” A woman said worry in her voice.
“Yes, sister. What if our plan doesn’t work?” A second woman replied as she turned to the other eight mirrors adorning the walls.
“We’ll bring them together, don’t worry we won’t fail, Sera.” A man said as the three disappeared in a flash of light.

In LA, Angel was worried as he felt the urge to return to Sunnydale burn in his veins but he knew that to return would bring only pain. He closed his eyes trying to figure out what was wrong; ever since he had awoke he had felt different.
“So you’ve guessed something is happening, about time.” A woman said her voice echoing in the small room, there was a flash of blue sparks as a woman appeared.
“Who are you and why are you here?” Angel said as soon as could speak.
“My name is Nia and I’m here to help you in a way. I’m here to make sure that what must happen does. I’m making you as you should be.” Nia said as she placed her hand on the vampire’s head.
Angel froze as he felt energy pour into his body, he looked at the woman in fear as he realised what was happening.
“You can’t…” Angel said his voice quivering with fear.
“I can and must. Welcome back Angelus.” Nia said with a smile, happy that everything was going right for now.
“Its good to be back. Why did you release me?” Angelus asked suspicious.
“Because it must be, you need to go to Sunnydale as soon as possible or all is lost.” Nia said as she disappeared from the room in a flash of blue sparks.
Angelus smiled cruelly he was free; soon the world would tremble at the mention of his name but first Sunnydale. If Nia was telling the truth and he had no reason to believe she wasn’t, he had to get back as fast as possible.

Giles took a sip of his tea and turned back to his book, enjoying the peace knowing that it wouldn’t last long. It never did.
“You are really cynical, anyone ever told you that?” Nia said as she teleported into the room, ready to complete the second part of the plan.
“What are you?” Giles asked worried that the woman was a problem.
“I’m a Greek Goddess, it doesn’t really matter. I have need of you. I need you to send seven people back in time to Ancient Greece. I can’t do it myself due to the promise I made to Great Grandmother. They hold the destiny of the world in their hands, without them the world will be thrust into eternal darkness.” Nia said as she gave Giles a piece of paper holding the details of the spell.
“If I do this what will happen?” Giles asked suspicious.
“If you do this you will bring peace to Olympus and secure the world from Dahork for another five hundred years.” Nia replied as she disappeared from the room in a flash of sparks.
Giles quickly examined the spell, knowing that he had to perform it, his studies had taught him about the nature of Dahork. Giles would do as he was asked and hope that it was enough.

Xander awoke to see a tall, brunette green-eyed woman watching him, smiling gently. A part him wondered what she wanted but a bigger part of him didn’t care, nothing really mattered anymore.
“Don’t worry Alexander, everything will be alright.” The woman said smiling.
“Easy for you to say, you’re not living my life.” Xander said with a bitter smile.
“I know you’ve suffered but you’ll be happy in the end.” The woman smiled, making Xander realise that he didn’t know anything about her.
“What’s your name?” Xander asked, wanting to know what to call her.
“My name is Sera Goddess of Broken Souls.” The woman replied with a smile.
“Good for you, I take it that you’re here for something?” Xander said.
“I’m here to make sure that you find love and happiness.” Sera said before disappearing in a flash of red sparks.
Xander fell back onto the bed feeling positive that Sera was telling the truth and that one day he would be happy once again.
***********
“You really shouldn’t be playing around with that.” A man’s voice echoed in Willow’s bedroom, startling the witch making her forget the spell she had been planning to use.
“Is someone there?” Willow asked, even as she went over her spells trying to find one to use.
“Obviously, you know you really shouldn’t be playing around with magic you don’t understand. My name is Lucas, I’m going to appear, try not to panic.” A man said in an amused voice shortly before a flash of blue sparks signalled his appearance.
Lucas was tall with black curly hair that reached his shoulders. Lucas wore a sardonic grin on his face that made Willow shiver from some unknown reason. As Lucas moved closer, Willow could see that his eyes were an unusual shade in grey.
“Why are you here?” Willow said, pushing her fear down.
“Why are any of us here (?)” Lucas answered with a small smirk.
“I’m here because I have a job to do. Do you remember Faith? Dumb question, of course you do after that crush you had on her for months. Well you need to get ready, Faith is in danger, some demons have captured her in LA and you must save her.” Lucas said, noticing the way Willow changed from angry to worried.
“How do you know this?” Willow asked suspiciously.
“I just know because I’m a God, listen carefully you haven’t got long. Once you rescue her come back to Sunnydale Park and wait for the others.” Lucas said seriously, knowing that Willow would remember what he said.
“A god of what?” Willow replied as she reached for her backpack.
“Compassion.” Lucas answered as he disappeared in a flash of sparks.
Willow stared at the spot Lucas had been occupying for a couple of minutes before shaking herself, there was no time to dally Faith was in danger. She walked straight out of her room, knowing just where she had to go.
**********
Angelus walked straight towards the mansion, grinning when the other creatures of the night rushed to get out of his way. He just knew that he had to get there soon, but he couldn’t understand why.
Seconds later he arrived at his destination, scenting the air he was shocked to find that Xander was inside. Opening the door, he slipped inside walking straight to the bedroom, stopping when he saw the sleeping human. Moving closer, Angelus caught sight of angry red marks bruising Xander’s pale skin.
He gently touched Xander’s battered face, wiping away the tears that had fallen. He was so absorbed in his task that he didn’t notice the figure hidden in the shadows carefully examining his every move.
Xander opened his eyes, hoping that it wasn’t all a dream. A wide smile forming when he found himself looking up into the vampire’s golden eyes. Finally, his love was back, for the first time in months, Xander felt truly happy.
“Angelus is that you?” Xander asked afraid of the answer.
“It’s me, love.” Angelus replied looking Xander in the eyes, trying to gauge the boy’s feelings.
“I thought I’d never see you again.” Xander whispered as he ran his hand across Angelus face, trying to assure himself that it wasn’t a dream.
Angelus moved towards Xander, holding the back of the boy’s head as he leaned in to place a small kiss on Xander’s mouth. Angelus thrust his tongue inside Xander’s mouth, tasting him. Xander thrust his tongue inside the vampire’s mouth, gently caressing the fangs delighting in Angelus’ resulting shiver.
Angelus broke the kiss, his eyes turning golden as he moved to Xander’s neck. Running his tongue across the tanned skin, he placed gentle bites on the mortal’s neck. When he finally reached the nape of Xander’s neck he changed into his true face and bit down into the skin. He quickly drank his love’s blood; the blood tasted of love, anger, and hopelessness the unusual combination only improving the taste. Angelus quickly withdrew his fangs; not wanting to drink too much he had simply wanted to claim Xander once more as his.
“Leave him alone.” Spike snarled as he ran to the pair, holding a stake to his Sire’s back, ready to kill the other vampire for hurting Xander.
“Spike, what are you doing here?” Xander asked when he finally managed to look up, his body aching with arousal.
“I’m here to protect you.” Spike replied, his eyes softening when he saw the fear in Xander’s eyes. Spike could understand Xander’s fear, knowing that the mortal had come to feel that he had no right to feel love.
“There’s no need to protect me from Angelus, he won’t hurt me.” Xander said, noticing the way Angelus preened at his statement.
“You don’t know him.” Spike replied positive that his Sire was manipulating Xander. Despite his concern for Xander, Spike knew that his main motivation was jealously, he had loved Angelus for years, but ever since he had lived with Xander, he had found himself in love with the mortal.
All thoughts left Spike’s mind as Xander and Angelus moved as one towards him, their eyes burning with lust. Xander exchanged a brief look with Angelus before pushing Spike onto the bed.
Spike stared up into the eyes of his Sire and wondered just what was happening? His question was answered when he felt Xander cut away his shirt, causing the vampire to let out a groan as he realised one of his secret fantasies was going to come true.
Xander paused to look at Spike’s pale skin before moving to Spike’s neck, placing small feather like kisses as he moved down the vampire’s body, towards Spike’s nipples. He took one nipple into his mouth, nipping it slightly with his teeth while he gently teased the other one with his hands.
Angelus quickly freed himself from the tight confines of his pants, the sight of the two causing arousal to burn through his veins. Angelus moved over to the bed and took Xander’s place moving his mouth across Spike’s body stopping to dip his tongue into Spike’s naval. Xander quickly ripped away his clothes wanting to feel skin-to-skin contact with the two vampires he loved.
Xander expertly unfastened Spike’s pants freeing the painfully hard erection. Xander paused to take in the beautiful sight before taking the weeping cock into his mouth. As Xander bopped up and down Spike’s manhood, Angelus continued to play with the younger vampire’s nipples knowing that Spike was particularly sensitive there. Xander gently caressed Spike’s balls seeing that the vampire was close to coming, seconds later Spike came as Angelus bit down into his neck, shooting his come down Xander’s throat.
Xander moved to kiss Angelus passionately as Spike watched, too exhausted to move. With a growl, Angelus broke the kiss, pulling Xander up just in front of the bed. Angelus was desperate to feel Xander’s warm tight heat around him. Xander moved onto all fours, wiggling his ass invitingly as he waited for the vampire to take him, his hard erection crying out for relief.
Angelus searched around for something to use as lube, not wanting to hurt his lover. Giving up he gently kissed Xander’s puckered opening, before thrusting his tongue inside, teasing the mortal mercilessly each shiver from Xander only heightening the vampire’s arousal. He moved his fingers to Xander’s mouth, almost losing all control when the boys sucked them, hard.
Angelus gently placed one finger into Xander’s hole, moving it around gently, wanting to thoroughly prepare his lover. Soon he added another finger, scissoring them, letting out a small laugh as Xander arched backwards trying to get Angelus to move deeper. A brief groan of protest escaped Xander, when he felt Angelus withdraw his fingers.
Angelus lined up his impatient, weeping cock and thrust inside. Once inside he stopped to give Xander time to adjust, at the same time he moved his hand to pump Xander’s hard cock. As Xander nodded, Angelus started thrusting in and out, hard, and fast, angling each thrust so that he hit Xander’s prostate. The feeling of Angelus’ hand around his cock coupled with Angelus’ thrusting inside him were too much for Xander who came hard all over Angelus’ hand. As Xander came, his muscles clenched, causing Angelus to come, biting down into Xander’s neck.
The pair managed to move themselves onto the bed, moving so that Angelus was spooning Xander who was being held tightly by Spike who had watched the show with fascination. The three fell asleep, holding onto each other tightly feeling complete.
Part 2
On Olympus Nia, Sera and Lucas watched the events with a smile, each one privately planning just how to get even with Xander’s parents. The three had watched the seven all their lives but Xander was special, drawing them to him like moths to a flame. Each one could see the potential within Xander just waiting to be released and could see how desperate Xander was for attention. With every blow from both his friends and family, the mortal became stronger, thriving despite the pain.
“Can we kill his parents?” Lucas asked, as he did every time they looked in on Xander.
“Sure, they’ve done their bit.” Sera answered with a smirk.
“Why don’t we let Spike and Angelus play with them a little first?” Nia said half to herself.
The three looked at each other and agreed on the plan, the vampires could play first then they would handle the situation. Nia was sure that she could get Hades to let her play with them a little.
“Who are you going after now?” Ares asked as he watched his three children smile cruelly.
“Xander’s parents.” Lucas said, knowing that his fathers would understand.
“Need some help?” Joxer chimed in, he had grown to like the mortal who reminded him so much of himself when he was a teen.
Despite what the world believed, the Olympian Gods were alive and well, but had descended into chaos. The Gods and Goddesses were waiting for the prophecy to come true and peace to return before they revealed themselves to the world.
“So you’ve got those three together what about the others?” Joxer asked from his position on Ares’ lap.
“Willow’s gone to get Faith so those two should hopefully work out without anymore interfering but the other four need work.” Sera answered with a smile.
“I’ll keep an eye on them.” Nia offered, the couple had grown on her.
“Okay, Lucas why don’t you keep an eye on Wesley and Lindsey. With those two you never know what’s going to happen.” Sera said, automatically taking over the role of leader.
“Fine with me. Anyone found out who the other two are?” Lucas replied, feeling that one of his sister’s knew something.
“I’ll look after them, don’t worry.” Sera said with a small smile. She wasn’t going to spoil the surprise and let everyone know the identity of other two.
Nia disappeared to keep an eye on Faith and Willow, followed seconds later by Lucas. Sera turned to her fathers and gave them a grin; she knew perfectly well that they had guessed the identity of the other two.
“They’re going to be really angry when they find out that you kept it from them.” Joxer said knowing how the other two would react.
“Probably but at least this way it’ll be a surprise. This way I can make sure everything goes right.” Sera answered thoughtfully.
“Yeah, but they hate surprises.” Ares answered seconds before he disappeared in a flash of light taking Joxer with him.
Part 3
Willow looked around, positive that someone or something was watching her, finding nothing she continued on her way. She was standing in front of an abandoned warehouse, where she knew Faith was being held captive. Willow carefully checked her backpack for supplies and smirked, she would teach these demons what happened when they messed with one of her friends.
Quickly lighting a fire Willow murmured the words for the spell and looked down into the small bowl of water. She knew that standing around outside wasn’t a good idea but she had to check just how many demons she had to fight this time. A small whimper escaped her as the image appeared; it was Faith who had clearly put up a good fight. Faith was covered in bruises and a small line of blood was trickling from her mouth, as the picture expanded Willow could see that Faith was chained to a wall, being guarded by only two green horned demons.
Satisfied that she now knew what she was facing, Willow straightened and headed towards the entrance. She was going to get Faith out then she would make them pay. Willow stealthily walked down the corridors towards the main room, pausing to listen every five steps in case someone had figured out that she was in the building.
As Willow walked into the dimly lit room the two demons tried to rush her, only to be stopped by the small shield she had cast knowing that she couldn’t rely on her fighting skills. The two demons fell back onto the floor, staring at her in shock; they had expected the small girl to be an easy target. Since they were distracted, Willow quickly performed the paralysis spell and moved over to Faith, confident that the demons were no longer a bother.
“Faith, its me Willow. Everything is going to be alright.” Willow said as she took the keys from the nearby table and freed the Slayer from the tight chains.
“That you Red?” Faith asked still groggy from the fight.
“Yeah its me, we have to get out of here. We need to get back to Sunnydale.” Willow said as she put one arm around the other girl to support her.
The pair slowly made their way out of the building to the car Willow had rented earlier. Willow helped Faith into the car and fastened the seatbelt around the young Slayer, not willing to take any chances. Closing the door, Willow quickly moved to the other side and took her place behind the wheel.
Willow drove as if the demons of hell were chasing her, which was a very real possibility the paralysis spell only worked for an hour so she knew they didn’t have much time. With a tender look at Faith, Willow smiled knowing that the young Slayer was worth it, turning her attention back to the road she prepared herself for the long drive home.
**********
Lindsey looked at the ex-Watcher and wondered what he was doing here. On the word of the rather annoying man, he had dropped everything to help search for Angel. It wasn’t like he even liked the vampire but he owed Wesley a favour so here he was about to walk into an abandoned mansion which looked like it had seen better days.
“So just why are we hunting for Angel?” Lindsey asked wanting to know as many of the details as possible, he hated going into a situation without a plan
“He went missing yesterday which could mean he’s in trouble. A friend of mine said he was in Sunnydale so he’s probably here, its where he normally stays in town.” Wesley answered as he took a cross from his pocket, one hand holding a stake.
Lindsey gave the man a glare and opened the door, a part of his mind asking just when was Angel not in trouble. Holding the door open, he waited for Wesley to go first, not really wanting to see Angel if indeed the vampire was inside.
Once inside the pair split up, Lindsey quickly searched the rooms, knowing that someone was inside by the three footprints, he only hopped that whoever it was didn’t decided to kill him for violating their home.
Xander froze as he heard the unmistakeable creek of the floorboards someone was inside the mansion. The mortal quickly looked at his lovers who were listening closely both in their game face. Xander quickly jumped out of the bed and dressed throwing the others their clothes ready to face whoever had dared to come into his sanctuary.
“Stay here and look after Xander.” Angelus growled at Spike, not wanting to risk the mortal getting hurt, he knew that Spike would die before he let Xander get hurt.
Xander approached Angelus and gave the vampire a passionate kiss, touched the concern Angelus was showing, something he had never seen before his friends viewed him as a problem and his parents felt he was worthless. As Xander moved away, panting Spike took his place kissing the older vampire passionately before leading Xander back to the bed, moving in front of him.
Lindsey froze as he felt hands grip his neck; obviously, whoever lived here wasn’t happy with Lindsey having a look around. All thoughts left his mind as he was picked up and threw across the room. He hit the wall before falling to the floor in a heap.
“What do you want?” Angelus snarled as he looked at the lawyer who was staring up at him in confusion.
“Angel, I just came with Wesley to make sure you were alright.” Lindsey replied as truthfully not mentioning the fact that he had been blackmailed into coming.
“Don’t ever call me that.” Angelus growled as he delivered a sharp kick to Lindsey’s ribs.
“Angelus, I take it.” Lindsey replied at the same time wondering how he was going to get out alive, his research had told him that Angelus was more than a little crazy not to mention possessive.
Xander walked into the room, dragging Wesley’s unconscious body with him. He had caught the man when Wesley had attacked Spike. Xander honestly hadn’t intended on knocking the ex-watcher unconscious but he had lost his temper after seeing Wesley hit Spike, no one hurt one of his lovers and got away with it so he’d decided to teach the man a lesson.
“Hey Xan. What are you doing here?” Lindsey asked surprised at finding Xander there.
“You know him?” Angelus asked looking at Xander jealousy burning in his eyes.
“Yeah, we met when I went on my road trip. Linds helped me out when some demons tried to kill me.” Xander replied wondering why Angelus wanted to know.
“Since you saved Xander’s life I’ll let you live.” Angelus said looking at Lindsey letting the man know what would happen if he went after Xander. He had noticed the way Lindsey was looking at his Xander and was going to kill the man for that but honour demanded that he let the other man live for now.
“This is were I hide from my parents and my friends.” Xander replied to Lindsey’s question at the same time knowing that wasn’t what Lindsey was asking.
“I meant what are you doing with Angelus. Is he the guy you said you were in love with?” Lindsey said remembering what Xander had told him when he had asked the other man on a date.
“I’m in love with Angelus and Spike. They make me feel whole.” Xander said as he moved to help Lindsey up, rolling his eyes when Angelus moved to stop Lindsey from touching Xander.
Part 4
“Xan, are you sure you know what your doing? I don’t want to upset you but life is very difficult for a human who’s the consort to one master vampire never mind two.” Lindsey said wanting to make sure his friend had thought everything through, Xander had become his friend, as Lindsey didn’t have many friends he tended to get a little overprotective of the ones he did have.
Xander smiled when Angelus started growling at the worried lawyer but he understood Lindsey’s motives. Life was difficult for a consort simply because many consorts couldn’t handle the separation from their former life or the bloodthirsty nature of their vampire mate. But Xander didn’t have that problem as his friends had deserted him and his family had done everything possible to destroy him. Xander knew that he was more than capable of matching his lovers when it came to being bloodthirsty and violence.
“Don’t worry, Linds. I know exactly what I’m getting into.” Xander replied to his friend’s question while running his fingers across Angelus’ chest trying to calm the angry vampire down.
“I hate to interrupt this little bonding session but you need to get to Sunnydale Park right after sunset. And I mean all of you, before you get any ideas.” Sera said seconds before she flashed into the dark room.
“Who are you and what do you want?” Lindsey asked as he looked over the stranger.
“Nice to meet you too (!) My name is Sera. I’m here because I you five have an important role in a prophecy. My sister was the one who took anyway your conscience Angelus. We have to get four souls together. The first is you, Angelus and Spike.” Sera replied as she looked at Xander smiling when the mortal stared straight back.
“You said four so who are the other three?” Angelus asked hating that he was being manipulated but also happy because he knew that the Gods were the reason why he was with his two lovers.
“The third is Willow and Faith, I was surprised myself, but they are quite a good match. The second involves one of my family and Lindsey and the fourth is another of my family and Wesley. Just a little suggestion, Angelus, play a little with Xander’s parents as long as you leave the killing to us. You’ll have to leave that until after you’ve come finished your mission in Ancient Greece but that gives you more time to plan.” Sera replied as she remembered the plans his family had made. The Harris’ had planned to sell Xander to a local demon, not that she would let that happen.
“Ancient Greece??” Xander asked confused.
“Oh did I forget to tell you (?) You five, Faith and Willow are going go back in time. There is something you need to do there for the future to happen as it should.” Sera replied as she flashed out.
"Oh, ancient Greece, is that all? I thought it was something big!" Xander quipped trying to hide his fears.
********
Willow arrived back in Sunnydale just fifteen minutes before sunset; the journey had taken a lot longer than she had planned due to all the stops she had made to check her companion’s injuries. Tapping Faith on the shoulder, Willow smiled at the way the young Slayer awoke, opening one eye cautiously before stretching slightly.
“Why did you come for me?” Faith asked suspicious, she had always thought Willow hated her.
“A God appeared in my room and said that you had been captured and that I had to rescue you. Once I saved you I was told to go straight to Sunnydale Park and wait.” Willow replied as she got out of the car.
“What makes you think you can trust him?” Faith said as she walked over to where Willow was waiting.
“We’ve got no other choice. We can’t tell the others you are here, I don’t think they’d be too happy.” Willow replied as she led the way into the park, wanting to go to one of the more secluded areas just in case there was trouble.
**********
Xander walked into Sunnydale Park, flanked on both sides by his lovers who were both of whom had spent the last hour insisting that he stay by their sides the whole time. As much as he loved the two vampires, Xander didn’t want to be kept sheltered away from the world, he wanted to be needed and valued. His lovers made him feel as if he was needed although he personally felt they were more than a little overprotective.
Behind the three Lindsey was walking silently, at the same time keeping an eye on Wesley. The ex-Watcher had been informed of the situation but was more than a little angry and worried to find that Xander was involved with two of the most violent vampires in the world. Lindsey was given the unenviable task of watching Wesley in case the other man did something to stupid. At least that’s what Angelus and Spike had said, he knew the truth was that the vampires didn’t want them by Xander in case he hit on the man. As attracted to Xander as he was, Lindsey wasn’t stupid or suicidal; he knew that if he made any advances towards Xander, he would be killed-painfully.
Giles quickly started to prepare the ground for the spell, drawing a circle on the grass for the seven time travellers. As he checked the spell one last time he heard the sound of people approaching, he looked up curious as to the identity of the seven who would save the world and stopped his mouth falling open in shock.
Xander, the boy he had always considered to be a son, was walking towards him with Spike and Angel. But what shocked him was the fact that the two vampires had their arms around his waist. ‘How had he missed the fact that Xander was involved with the pair?’ Giles asked himself as he group stopped beside him. As they stopped, he caught sight of Wesley whose hands were tied together and another man he didn’t recognise.
“Hey, G-man. So you’re the one whose going to send us back?” Xander asked, unfazed by the gaping look Giles was giving him. He knew that the older man would find his relationship strange but at the moment, his only concern was getting the spell performed before Buffy appeared.
“Yes, are you five all going back?” Giles asked as he pulled himself together.
“Yeah, so are Willow and Faith. They should be here soon.” Xander replied.
As he finished speaking the two women came into view, Willow stopping to stand protectively in front of the injured Slayer. Faith was obviously uncomfortable, by the way, her eyes shifted to each of the men who were staring back at them in shock.
“Xander, what are you doing with Angel and Spike.” Willow asked confused, she hadn’t even suspected that her friend was involved with anyone.
“Angelus not Angel.” Xander replied, seeing the way Willow, Faith and Giles moved to attack he continued, “I’m in love with them, and they’re in love with me. They won’t hurt you.”
“What are you doing with those monsters?” Giles asked aghast.
“They’re not monsters.” Xander replied with a snarl.
“We won’t hurt him, we’d stake ourselves first.” Spike said as he pulled his lovers into the circle, wanting to get the whole thing over as fast as possible.
Giles glared at the two vampires, knowing that if what the Goddess had said was true, the two vampires were needed to save the world. Giles motioned for everyone to get into the circle and checked the spell one last time.
********
Buffy couldn’t escape the feeling that something bad was going to happen soon, something that would change her life. Willow and Xander had disappeared and Giles was spending all his time researching mumbling something about a woman and a spell.
“Is it all in my mind?” Buffy asked aloud, tossing the stake in her hand as she patrolled Sunnydale Park. The sound of footsteps echoed in the dark night, slowly Buffy made her way to its source and stopped in amazement.
Xander was standing in the middle of a circle locked in a passionate kiss with Spike but what scared her was that Angel had his arms around Xander’s waist. Was this all some horrible nightmare? Buffy thought to herself as she watched in shock. Willow was holding Faith’s hand, Buffy smiled at the look of happiness on her friend’s face; she had never seen Willow look so content.
Standing on the edge of the circle was Wesley but his clothes were nothing like she had remembered seeing the ex-Watcher in. Wesley was dressed completely in black leather and looked out of place standing next to the man he was talking too. The stranger was wearing a suit that looked expensive but there was something about the stranger that called to her.
As she approached the small group, ready to kill the vampires who were obviously going to hurt her friends, there was a flash of light and a shout. Buffy closed her eyes unable to bear the blinding white light, when she opened them the seven in the circle had disappeared and Giles was lying on the floor by her feet
Part 5
Auto quickly looked around, before sneaking into the open door. Inside was the prize he had been searching for, a dagger belonging to Ares, but that didn’t concern him. The reason he wanted the dagger was simply because it had been made by Hephaistos and was encrusted with thirteen sapphires, the little trinket would fetch him a great price and would ensure that everyone knew he was the king of thieves. He quickly picked up the dagger and started to place it into his bag when he felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” An amused voice echoed through the previously empty chamber.
Auto turned around and groaned, just his luck. What could he do now; he had no chance to win a fight against a God.
“Hiya Ares. I was just er…looking at it that’s all.” Auto said pitifully, he was sure that the God wouldn’t believe him; after all, he was actually stealing the dagger.
“I won’t do anything to you if you would do my daughter a little favour.” Ares replied, remembering his role in the plan.
“Which daughter?” Auto said, not really wanting to see Xena if he could help it, the Warrior Princess was still a little angry about the little tale her had told about her.
“Sera.” Ares answered, smiling at the fear that rolled off Auto.
“Goddess of Broken Souls, Sera?” Auto asked aloud, wondering just what she wanted with him, he hadn’t really hurt anyone too bad in a few days.
“Of course. Wait here for her.” Ares said as he disappeared in a flash of sparks.
Seconds after Ares disappeared from the room; Auto tried to move but found that his legs wouldn't move-he was trapped. He scowled and hoped that no one ever heard about what had just happened, if anyone ever discovered that he been caught it would be the end of his reputation.
“Dad, help me out here?” Auto asked aloud.
“He’s not coming this time.” Sera said as she appeared in the room wearing her normal green dress.
“Hi Sera. What do you want me for this time?” Auto said wanting to get it over with as soon as possible.
“Is that anyway to talk to your cousin? I want you to look after some friends of mine, they are not from this time, and I need someone I can trust. Just spend some time with them and make sure nothing happens. If any of them die, I’ll hold you responsible.” Sera said with a smirk.
“Alright, I’ll help but only because you asked so nicely (!) Where are these people you want me to baby-sit?” Auto retorted, not wanting to make Sera angry, the last time someone had done that she had spent a couple of mouths torturing the idiot before she killed him.
“They should be here in a couple of seconds. Bye.” Sera said as she flashed out of the room.
A white light appeared in the middle of the room for a second and disappeared with an audible crackle. When the light disappeared, the seven people were standing just ten feet from the startled thief.
Auto took a minute to look them over, wanting to know just what these people were like. The clothes were certainly different from what he had ever seen before but he had to admit that they were all attractive, very attractive.
Auto moved towards the group, wanting to make sure no one was hurt, taking his cousin’s threat all to seriously. As he approached a dark haired, man with brown eyes there was a growl. Before he could react, Auto found himself pinned against the wall by to very angry vampires.
*************
“Don’t go near him.” The blonde one said with a low growl as he looked at the stranger.
“Just who are you?” The dark one asked while giving the man a sharp kick to the stomach.
“Don’t worry I won’t touch him. I am the King of Thieves, you’ve probably heard of me-but you can all call me Auto.” Auto replied not wanting to anger the pair anymore.
“Its alright, guys. I think he gets the idea, he’d have to be an idiot not to.” The man he’d originally approached said as he walked over to the angry vampires that loosened their grip as he touched their backs.
“Hi Auto. My name is Xander this is Spike and Angel. That’s Wesley, Lindsey, Faith and Willow.” Xander said pointing to each person as he said his or her names.
Auto looked at each of the people in turn and wondered just why no one had helped him yet. The two women were busy talking quietly totally ignoring him, Wesley couldn’t really do much, seeing how the man’s hands were tied, and Lindsey was simply watching impassively.
“I think you should let him go, I don’t think he was going to hurt Xan.” Lindsey said as he looked at the attractive thief, hoping that they could get some time to talk.
“Fine but one wrong move and we’ll make you wish you were dead.” Spike said as he and Angelus backed away as one, moving to flank Xander’s side.
Auto watched as the two vampires put their arms around Xander waist, each one kissing a path down the mortal’s neck. ‘That’s why they were so protective of him! He must be something if both of them are after him’ Auto thought as he opened his mouth to explain the situation.
“Any idea why we’re here?” Wesley asked absently as he watched the three lovers, Xander kissed each vampire passionately before turning to look at the embarrassed ex-Watcher.
“Basically put we’re here to save the world-again. Oh yeah, and to get you and Linds hitched.” Xander replied as he watched the two vampires kiss.
“I’m not getting married!” Wesley replied angrily, how dare they arrange his marriage without asking him!
“Whatever you say, Wes.” Xander said not really wanting to get into the situation just yet. A part of his mind wondered just why he could understand the thief but he shrugged mentally and assumed it was part of the spell; it was just like Giles to think of something like that.
“So why are you here, Auto?” Xander asked seeing that Auto was spending a lot of time looking at Lindsey, from the way Lindsey had acted earlier it was clear that the lawyer was at least interested in the thief.
“I’m here to help you out for a while, I’m supposed to act as a guide.” Auto replied while taking small peaks at Lindsey.
“Oh, that’s nice of you. Just where are we?” Willow asked realising that it would be impolite to ignore the man.
“The temple of Ares in Sparta.” Auto replied while wondering just how he could get Lindsey alone.
“Ares-God of War Ares?” Willow asked nervously, she hadn’t really heard many good things about the God of War, at least according to the myths she had been hooked on as a child.
“Yep, but in a way he asked me to help you and he’s not to bad for a God.” Auto said since Willow was a little scared.
“I won’t let anything hurt you, Red. Its alright, I’m here.” Faith whispered into Willow’s ear as she pulled the young witch closer.
The others just grinned having heard the whispered comment due to the echo in the room.
“What do we do now? We can’t go outside until night and there doesn’t seem to be an awful lot we can do here.” Xander said looking around the temple.
“You die!” The shout echoed in the small room just seconds before a woman came into view. The woman was wearing a pale green dress and was carrying a staff, attacked to her side was a scabbard. To her left stood a large, blonde man whose eyes were wild and crazy. Behind the pair was an army of a forty men, all of whom had the same vacant looking their eyes.
“Gabrielle! Hercules!” Auto exclaimed shocked at seeing two of his supposed friends ready to kill them.
Gabrielle ran towards the group, a maniacal gleam in her eyes. Hercules decided to take a different approach and calmly walked up to the group. While the enemy was approaching, the eight were preparing themselves for battle.
Angelus growled as he took in the threat to his mates, Spike quickly moved Xander up against the wall standing just in front of the mortal to protect him. Angelus looked around for a weapon; spying two swords, he picked them up, throwing one to Spike and turned to meet the attack. Faith had moved so that she was covering Willow, who was busy moving her hands in the air casting protection spells to help defend her friends. Lindsey had untied Wesley’s hands, knowing that they needed as much help as possible. Auto ran to the alter and picked up a sword for himself and watched as Lindsey took another sword, carefully checking the balance.
Armed the eight combatants waited. Gabrielle went for the two women assuming that they would be the easiest to attack, as one was wearing bloodstained clothes and the other looked like she was an innocent to battle.
That was her first mistake, as she approached Faith delivered a sharp kick, immediately following it up with a hard punch to the head. Gabrielle staggered back, but before she could regain her, senses Willow started her spell chanting loudly, seconds later Gabrielle was surrounded by flames that circled her whenever she tried to move.
Angelus and Wesley worked together, the vampire using his supernatural abilities to reduce the twenty men in front of the pair to ten in seconds. He ripped out the men apart offering them no mercy. As he fought the blood soaked his fangs, all the time he wore a happy smile on his face. A sight that caused the remaining men to shake in fear. By his side, Wesley was alternatively using his magic as well as his fighting skills, knowing that it was a matter of life and death.
Xander and Spike fighting back to back, snarling the whole time, Angelus was trying to reduce the number of fighters that reached his lovers knowing that Xander could easily get hurt. Xander was holding his own, the personalities inside him merging so that he had the skills of the soldier and the fierceness of the hyena. Spike was hacking the men to pieces as Xander fought unarmed. Picking up a sword from the body on the floor, Xander smiled cruelly and began killing the men that had tried to hurt his lovers.
Lindsey and Auto were working together against Hercules; many of their hits found their targets as the pair blocked the hits Hercules returned. The pair grinned as Faith and Willow joined them, leaving Gabrielle unconscious on the floor. The four fought quickly as a team Faith, Auto and Lindsey took the brunt of the fighting while Willow used her magic to slowly drain Hercules of his strength. The world seemed to slow as Hercules fell to floor, stabbing Lindsey on the way down. Auto quickly kneeled by Lindsey and did his best to stood the bleeding, Willow reached into her backpack, and finding a bandage pressed it against the bleeding cut in Lindsey’s stomach.
As the fight ended, Xander ran over to Lindsey and looked at the blood falling onto the floor, wondering just what he could do to save his friend. With a sob, he nestled into the arms of the two waiting vampires. Wesley knelt by Willow and did his best to help the lawyer, casting every healing spell he could recall. Minutes later, though both Willow and Wesley had exhausted themselves by casting every healing spell they knew, the wound was healed.
“”Sera we need some help!” Auto shouted not wanting Lindsey to die.
(They were attacked.) Sera told her siblings mentally.
(Are they alright?) Lucas asked concerned.
(Yes but I’m afraid that isn’t my only worry. Hercules and Gabrielle were the ones who attacked them.) Sera replied not wanting to alarm the eight people with the implications of what it meant.
(We’ll have to call a meeting of the Pantheon.) Nia said as she considered the situation.
Sera quickly called on the rest of her family to help the group once they arrived on Olympus. She knew that Dahork was probably back and she couldn’t risk the chances of one of the group getting injured or dying.
The eight blinked as they took in their surroundings, they were now in a large room decorated in a mix of green, blue, and red. As they sat down, four people flashed into the room, each one looked worried.
“I suppose I had better introduce everybody; this is Lucas my brother and Nia my sister. That’s Joxer and Ares my fathers ” Sera said pointing to each person as she said their name, for the benefit of seven from Sunnydale, she knew that they were feeling a little overwhelmed.
“Hi, are you all feeling alright?” Joxer asked seeing the confusion on Willow’s face.
“I have a question, how can a man carry a child?” Willow answered wondering if it was a God thing.
“Its possible for a male God to carry a child. Its just a God thing.” Joxer said as he looked at the eight.
“You are going to stay here for a while.” Sera said as she looked at the group.
“Can you show us our room, Pet?” Spike asked wanting to get his lovers alone and naked.
“Sure”. Nia said as she teleported the three out of the main room into one of the bedrooms. After the three left, Faith and Willow looked at each other and communicated silently, eventually deciding that they needed to talk.
“Where’s our room?” Faith asked as she gently pulled Willow to her feet, seeing that the young witch was tired.
“I’ll teleport you, it looks like she’s a little tired.” Lucas said as clicked his fingers, the two women disappeared just a second later.
“I think it would be easier if you showed us all to our rooms, we’re a little tired after the fight.” Wesley said with an apologetic smile.
“If you want, can someone stay with Lindsey and keep an eye on him just in case he has anymore injuries.” Sera asked with a small smile.
“I’ll stay.” Auto offered eagerly, it had scared him when he had seen Lindsey injured earlier.
Joxer and Ares looked at each other and smiled. It looked like Auto was beginning to fall for Lindsey, if they were lucky the thief wouldn’t realise he had been manipulated until it was too late.
There was a flash of sparks and the three guests disappeared from the room, Lindsey and Auto sharing a room next door to Wesley, who lay on the bed and was asleep within seconds. Lindsey fell onto his bed with a groan and immediately fell asleep, completely exhausted by his long day. As Lindsey slept, Auto lay down, moving so he could watch Lindsey.
Part 6
Looking at the angry and confused Gods and Goddesses Joxer sighed, wondering just how they were going to get everyone to be quiet.
“If you all shut up, I’ll tell you why we’re all here!” Joxer finally said angrily, wanting to get down to business.
“Does everyone remember the prophecy of the Nine?” Lucas stated as he saw his father’s eyes flash angrily, knowing that if Joxer lost his temper no one would help.
“Yes, is that why we’re here?” Hecate questioned.
“Eight of the people in the prophecy were attacked by Gabrielle and Hercules inside my temple.” Ares said as looked at the assembled faces.
“The first problem is how they knew about the prophecy and the second is who was helping them.” Nia said calmly.
“Are you sure it was Hercules?” Zeus questioned, not wanting to believe that his mortal son had tried to kill the people who would save Olympus from being destroyed in the years to come.
“Yeah, they’re in my temple locked up with some of Heph’s chains.” Sera said with a smile.
“I’ll have a talk to them and try to see what’s wrong.” Iolaus stated as he flashed into the room, having just finished talking with the Fates.
“Why do you want to talk to them?” Nia questioned, wanting to question, okay torture the pair herself.
“God of Truth here, Nia. I’ll be able to see what’s happening and the Fates said I was the only one would could.” Iolaus replied with a wry smile, seeing his niece’s actions for what they were.
“I’ve got to go and keep an eye on Wesley…I mean the eight.” Nia said as she heard Wesley waking up.
“Okay, we’ll take care of everything. Just go and make sure they’re alright.” Lucas said realising that his sister was the last one of the prophecy.
Nia flashed out of the room and materialised in Wesley’s room, she was surprised when Wesley merely raised an eyebrow at her.
********
“If you don’t mind I have some questions for you about why I’m here.” Wesley said smiling at the beautiful Goddess in front of him. He was sure that she wouldn’t hurt him, he didn’t know why he felt that way but he did.
“Ask and I’ll answer as much as I can.” Nia replied with a smile.
“I gather that you and your family are Gods. Could you tell me just what your Godhood is and that of the people we met earlier?” Wesley asked curious.
“I’m the Goddess of Conscience, my brother Lucas is the God of Compassion and my sister Sera is the Goddess of Broken Souls. My fathers Ares and Joxer are the Gods of War and Innocence respectively. Is that all you want to know?” Nia said as she materialised a chair and sat down.
“Just why are we here and why have we never heard of you or your siblings?” Wesley asked relaxing slightly, the woman in front of him appeared to be sincere in her kindness.
“You’re here because of a prophecy. Its called the prophecy of the Nine in it there are nine people who will come together to form four souls. These four souls will bring peace to Olympus and secure the world from Dahork for another five hundred years. The reason why you have not heard of me is that the knowledge was removed from the minds of mortals to secure the prophecy. After the Twilight of the Gods, the day when the world believes the Gods cease to exist we started to fade from memory. By your time the knowledge was completely erased but when it is needed the knowledge will return.” Nia said, knowing parts of the future even if she couldn’t change them.
“Who are the Nine people? Am I involved?” Wesley asked wanting to know if his suspicions were correct.
“The first soul is Xander, Angelus and Spike. That’s why I had to remove Angel’s conscience, as it was Angelus who was needed not the brooding Angel. The second is Faith and Willow although they haven’t really got together yet. The third is Lindsey and my cousin Auto. The final one is you and someone else that you’ll met here.” Nia said seeing that Wesley was confused.
“How old are you?” Wesley asked, his curiosity getting the better of him, to him Nia appeared to be in her twenties but he knew that the appearance didn’t mean a thing concerning her age.
“My siblings and I aged have grown at an accelerated rate due to the fact that part of the prophecy must occur now. It was so that we would have the skills or the experience needed. My siblings and I were born a year ago from my father Joxer, in case you haven’t guessed we are triplets. I have the experience and skills of a God of seven hundred plus years.” Nia said trying to explain it so that Wesley would understand.
Down the corridor Faith was sitting on the edge of Willow’s bed, wondering how she was going to explain her feelings to the young witch. She hoped that Willow returned her feelings; at least that’s what she guessed from the looks Willow had sent her way.
“Faith, what are you doing up? You must be exhausted.” Willow said as she opened her eyes.
“I need to talk to you, Will.” Faith said with a small smile, she had never seen anyone look so cute when they slept.
“What’s wrong, Faith?” Willow asked worriedly.
“I love you, Willow.” Faith said, hanging her head as she saw the shock in Willow’s eyes. She studied the floor, sure that Willow would hate her.
“I love you too, Faith but that’s no reason for you to stay awake all night. You need to sleep, it’s been a long day-tomorrow we can do the talking thing.” Willow said as pulled Faith down onto the bed.
(Faith and Willow are finally together) Lucas sent the thought to his sisters, feeling the hum of the connection between the couple in the back of his mind.
(How about Lindsey and Auto?) Sera asked, wondering just who was going to make the first move.
(Both asleep and Wes is with me) Nia replied, feeling the amusement of her siblings at the back of her mind.

Part 7
Auto looked over at the sleeping Lindsey and wondered just what was happening to him. He was feeling-dare he say it concern for the other man. He was worried, lust he could handle, these other feelings were too unfamiliar for him to know what to do.
Maybe if he ignored the feelings they would go away. Yeah, that’s what I’ll do, Auto thought to himself with a nod. It didn’t help that Lindsey was perhaps the most attractive man he’d seen, there was a sense of danger and vulnerability around the man that was very appealing.
He stood quickly and left the room, stopping when he heard the sound of voices.
“Why did you tell Auto my name was Angel?” Angelus questioned curiosity in his voice.
“This may sound stupid but I don’t want anyone else to call you Angelus, whenever I here someone use your name I feel like someone’s going to take you away from me again.” Xander replied sounding embarrassed.
“Its not stupid. No one is ever going to part us, the three of us are joined-I can feel the bond burning inside my mind. I’ll let them call me Angel, if it’ll stop you from worrying.” Angelus said, before there was the unmistakable sound of a soft kiss.
“I don’t think they’d attack us, here at least. Auto seems a little more preoccupied with getting into Lindsey’s pants than hurting one of us.” Spike said thoughtfully.
“Oh, you noticed? Maybe Auto’s the one who’s supposed to hook up with Lindsey?” Xander said a grin clear in his voice.
“Enough talking about them, I intend to spend the rest of time night driving you two crazy with desire.” Angelus said, his voice seductive.
Auto moved away from the room quickly, he didn’t think the three would be happy if he listened to them having sex. He wandered aimlessly around the large home, not knowing what to do now. If Lindsey was the guy he was supposed to be with why hadn’t one of the love gods interfered?
“You alright?” A voice said seconds before Lucas walked into view, a grin on his face.
“Just why am I here? This is about more than showing a couple of people around.” Auto said angrily.
“Sit down and I’ll tell you everything.” Lucas said as he sat down himself.
Auto sat down cautiously, he wasn’t used to people actually answering his questions or being that nice to him. Most people were simply concerned with what they could get from him. Why was Lucas actually being nice?
“I’m the God of Compassion, it’s in my nature to be nice. Just before dad and pops got married, a prophecy was revealed. Basically it said that four souls consisting of nine people would bring peace to Olympus. Sera, Nia and I are the ones who are supposed to oversee the prophecy. We are the ones who make sure everything happens as it should so the prophecy can happen.”
“I thought it was the Fates job to make sure everything happened as it should?” Auto questioned confused.
“It is but for some weird reason only my siblings and I can make the prophecy happen. The final part of the prophecy won’t happen until hundreds of years into the future.” Lucas said before flashing from the room.
“You didn’t tell me if I was one of the Nine!” Auto shouted in exasperation, if Lindsey were supposed to be with someone else he wouldn’t get in the way. It would hurt but he could live with the pain.
“You don’t need to know.” Lucas said, his calm voice echoing through the room.
Seeing he wasn’t going to get any more answers, not surprising seeing how he was dealing with the Gods, Auto made his way back to the room. He knew he needed to sleep; maybe he could everything over with Lindsey in the morning?
*******
Willow woke up to the feelings of arms surrounding her and a deep sense of peace. She opened her eyes and smiled when she saw faith it looked like the Slayer hadn’t moved all night. As Willow watched Faith, she wondered just how she was going to explain everything to Tara after all the blonde witch was supposed to be her girlfriend. Maybe Tara wouldn’t be too upset? There had been something changing between them for a while.
“Red, what’s wrong?” Faith asked, her voice husky from sleep.
“Nothing, I was just thinking. You ready to get up?” Willow said giving Faith a quick smile.
Faith looked at Willow and wondered if she should push the matter, she knew that the redhead was upset. Didn’t Willow trust her enough to reveal her thoughts? Faith jumped when Willow started to pull her out of bed, she hadn’t even realised the beautiful witch was out of bed.
Willow gently, grasped the Slayer’s face and pulled it towards her own. She captured the Slayer in what was supposed to be a quick, good morning kiss but Faith clearly had other ideas. The pair kissed gently at first, taking their time to taste each other, revelling in their newly discovered feelings. Willow licked Faith’s lips with her tongue, begging entrance. Faith opened her mouth and their tongues duelled. The sound of an awkward cough broke the pair apart. They spun round ready to met the intruder.
A tall black haired woman said, “Sorry for interrupting but Sera said that she wants you to go to the main room. She wants to explain a few things.”
“That’s okay, just who are you?” Faith asked, noticing the knives attached to the woman’s clothes.
“My name is Eris, Goddess of Discord. You had better get moving, they don’t like to be kept waiting.” Eris replied grinning at the blush on the two women’s faces. With a wave of her hand the she dressed Willow in a forest green top with leather pants, and gave Faith leather pants and a red shirt.

Part 8
“Now that you’re all here we can explain everything. The two who attacked you were under the influence of Dahork. He’s a demon god who has been trying to take over this world for a while.” Sera said, as soon as everyone sat down.
“What does that have to do with us?” Faith asked, from her seat next to Willow.
Lucas said thoughtfully, “We need you here to help save the world back in your own time. As soon as you’ve done what you need to here you’ll go back to your own time.”
“Just how do you know we are the people you need?” Xander asked ignoring the two vampires nuzzling his neck.
Nia said with a wide grin, “We’ve watched the day you were born. We know who’s needed for the prophecy.”
“You watched what my parents did to me and never bothered to help?” Xander asked in outrage.
“We couldn’t. You had to experience the pain that your family and friends put you through for the prophecy to happen.” Sera said gently, ignoring the two growling vampires.
With an evil grin Lucas said, “But now your parents how fulfilled their role and we can teach them a lesson.”
“Its about time, they were planning on selling him to a local demon brothel,” Joxer said as he and Ares appeared, wearing identical smirks.
“You know we wouldn’t have let that happen, pops.” Nia said with a smile.
“I know but he’s always been one of my favourites,” Joxer replied, taking a seat.
“I’ve found out what Jerkules and Blondie wanted,” Iolaus said as he flashed into the room.
“Does that mean I can play with them?” Nia asked sweetly.
“Maybe later, we might be able to cure them,” Lucas said seeing his sister’s bloodthirsty grin.
“Just what did they want?” Sera said, glaring at everyone to be quiet.
Iolaus said seriously, “It seems that Dahork found out about the prophecy of the Nine and wanted them to stop it. Hercules wasn’t really responsible for his actions; Dahork possessed him his mother a couple of months before he was born. Hercules can’t control what happens because he was born with a part of Dahork inside him. Gabrielle on the other hand went to him willingly, he promised to make her his queen if she joined him.”
“What’s going to happen to them?” Auto asked he didn’t really care about the bard but Hercules had saved his life more than once, he kind of owed the hero a favour.
Trying to reassure the thief Iolaus said, “A trial, Gabrielle will be found guilty and pay with her life. Hercules will probably be punished and we’ll see what he can do to help him. If we can’t do anything we’ll have to kill him.”
“When can we go home?” Willow asked, not wanting to stay around in some strange place any longer than she had to.
“When everything that must happen does,” Lucas said softly, understanding the witch's feelings.
“We can’t give you a definite time. I’m sorry,” Sera said calmly, not telling them that they could be trapped for years.
“So we could be here for months, or years?” Faith asked, aghast, she didn’t like the idea of being in some strange place alone, looking at Willow she thought, maybe this won’t be too bad.
“Yes, now that everyone’s awake, I can tell you what we’re going to do. For your safety Xena will escort you around Greece. She’ll keep an eye on you or if you want you can stay on Olympus,” Sera said as she looked at the eight.
“Have you forgotten about the sun? We’re vampires, we can’t go out in the sun,” Spike said angry at their exclusion.
“Is that all that’s bothering you? We can make it so you don’t turn to dust but it’ll only last until you go back,” Nia said, as she managed to drag her eyes away from Wesley.
“You mean we’ll be able to be with Xander in the sun?” Spike asked, happiness flooding his voice.
“Yeah, you aren’t that smart are you?” Eris said with a smirk.
“We’d like to go with this Xena,” Angelus said quickly, seeing the angry look on Spike’s face.
Placing her hand on the head of the two vampires, Sera reached out with her power and a warm red glow enveloped the three. Seconds later, she smiled and moved away grinning at the shock on their faces.
Lucas settled in next to his elder sister as he said, “Okay, you can now go in the sun. You can still be killed if you’re staked, decapitated, or doused with holy water,”
“I agree it would be good to see Greece,” Wesley said, not noticing the scowl on Nia’s face.
“I think it would be best if we all go, that way you can do your jobs in peace,” Faith said as Willow whispered into her ear.
“I’m in,” Lindsey said smiling as Auto eagerly nodded his head.
“If you need any of us just call and we’ll help,” Joxer said with a smile, he couldn’t help but like these mortals.
“Thanks. Are you sure Xena won’t mind being our babysitter?” Willow asked worriedly.
“Positive, my daughter loves to help people. Normally people I’m trying to kill so it’ll be a good change for her to look after people I’m supposed to protect,” Ares said while stroking the back of Joxer’s neck.
Hearing Hera’s summons, the three triplets turned to their father with pleading eyes. Eyes that matched those of his Joxer when he was after something Ares thought to with a grin.
Smiling at the confused mortals Joxer said gently, “We’ll take care of them; you should go and see what mother wants.”
The scene changed to that of a forest, looking round the band was shocked to discover they were no longer on Olympus. Xander decided to look around not wanting to be taken unaware should there be anything dangerous waiting. Of course, as soon as Xander moved away from the group, Angelus and Spike immediately followed.
“Auto! What do you want this time?” Xena asked exasperated as she turned a corner and found herself staring at the thief and weird looking people.
“Calm down daughter. He’s doing a little favour for Sera,” Ares said with a grin as he materialised, his arms around Joxer’s waist.
“Father, Joxer. Mind telling me just where I come into this little favour?” Xena asked still watching the strangers closely.
Grinning at the look of irritation on his stepdaughter’s face Joxer replied, “They are part of the prophecy of the Nine and must be protected. Your siblings felt it would be unfair to leave them on Olympus with nothing to do.”
“Do any of them know how to fight?” Xena asked looking them over.
“They spend all their time fighting to save the world.” Joxer said, knowing that was something Xena could understand.
“I’ll look after these five,” Xena said with a grin, watching as the two gods disappeared.
“I’m afraid that should be eight. Sorry about that, we were just having a look around,” Xander said as he walked into view, his lovers once again flanking him of either side.
Gesturing to each person Auto said, “This is Xander and his mates Angelus and Spike. The redhead is a witch called Willow and the angry looking one is her warrior Faith. That’s Wesley I think he’s some sort of scholar. Last we have Lindsay-I *think* he’s a warrior.”
Hearing the thief use his true name, Angelus growled. The only way the thief could know his real name was if he had been spying on him the night before. How dare someone spy on him and his mates! With this in mind, he lunged at the thief and snarled when his mates pulled him back.
“Let him go, Angelus. We can’t kill him, at least not until we’ve finished our mission here,” Xander said at the same time wanting to kill the thief himself.
“Maybe we can’t kill him but we can torture, I mean play with him a little," Spike grinned manically at the look of fear in Auto’s eyes.
“No killing at least, not anyone here. If you want to kill so badly, we can go hunting later,” Xander promised, smiling when he felt Willow and Faith look at him in shock.
“Just what do you hunt?” Xena asked, trying to break the sudden tension.
“Humans and sometimes demons, if they get in the way.” Angelus replied without a second thought.
At the shocked look in Xena’s eyes Xander said quickly, “They need the blood of humans to live, its not like they just kill for the sake of killing. They kill to survive just like people kill animals to eat.”
“Why am I not surprised? Okay we’re going to have to stick to that back roads so that we avoid most of the trouble.” Xena said, looking from face to face.
“That’s not going to work. Dahork knows where here and he’s going to have is people on the back roads,” Faith said calmly; thinking if Willow got hurt because of the woman in front of her she would make Xena wish she were dead.
“Maybe not but it’s better than nothing. Just where are you all from?” Xena said as she started walking, leaving the others no choice but to follow.
Still angry at the fact that the Gods had spent years watching him being beaten and raped by his parents for no other reason than being alive Xander said, “We’ve come back in time from 2001. You do know that your triplet cousins are twisted idiots, right?”
“I’ve never heard them called that before.” Xena commented as she walked, taking looks at the three obviously in love men.
“I just tell it like it is. You know you’re famous in the future.” Xander said to Xena with a grin.
‘Famous? Oh great, I knew letting Gabrielle record my travels was a bad idea,’ Xena thought to herself just smiling in reply to Xander’s statement.
