"Busta! Get in here!" Chris shouted from the bus door. The rain was pounding down, and it had recently begun to thunder and lightning. Giant puddles had already formed on the pavement outside, but the darkness hid them. And a certain Pug.
Chris was getting wet from the blowing rain. He was also getting impatient. "Busta! Come!" he yelled, trying to sound authoritative. His only answer was a clap of thunder, followed by a flash of lightning.
"Shut the door!" Joey yelled. The others were inside, trying to watch TV.
Chris thought he heard the jingle of Busta's tags, then another flash of lightning illuminated the small dog's form as he trotted from tree to tree. "I'll be back," Chris yelled, heading out in the storm to retrieve the small dog. The minute he stepped on the pavement, he felt water seeping through his shoes. The wind blew around him, whipping through the leaves on the towering trees that surrounded the bus. "Busta!" Chris yelled, his voice drowned out by another clap of thunder. The following lightning bolt showed him the Pug, and Chris picked up the wet dog and headed back to the bus, his feet splashing in the puddles. In the short time he was outside, he was already soaked. He had almost made it to the bus when the sky exploded with light, sending a bolt of electricity through man and dog.

End pt. 1
"What the freak was that?" Justin exclaimed, jumping at the loud crack of lightning outside.
"Lightning, retard," J.C. replied, rolling his eyes as he got up and looked out the window. "What the-?" he exclaimed, seeing Chris's still form lying on the pavement outside. He ran outside, followed closely by the others.
"What happened?" Joey asked, yelling over the storm.
"I think he was just hit by lightning," J.C. replied, kneeling beside Chris. J.C. rolled him over, and found Busta also lying unconscious. They were all getting soaked, and J.C. began to pull Chris inside. Justin helped J.C. as Lance scooped up Busta. Once they were inside, Joey shut the door, blocking the monstrous wind and pounding rain. J.C. began checking Chris. Lance sat down with Busta and tried to wake the small dog.
"He's alive," J.C announced. "That's a start."
Suddenly Chris jerked awake, sitting up and looking around. The action surprised J.C., who fell back on Joey.
"Hey, calm down there," J.C. soothed, getting up and placing a hand on Chris's shoulder.
Then to everyone's surprise, Chris sniffed J.C.'s hand then licked it. J.C. drew his hand back and wiped it on his jeans. "What was that?" he asked.
They watched as Chris stood up, then shook, sending water everywhere. "Hey, Chris, watch out man," Joey complained, wiping the drops off his face.
Then Chris looked down and started inspecting himself. He cautiously took a step as Lance asked, "Are you okay?"
Chris looked at Lance, his head cocked.
"Okay, he's scaring me," Justin said.
"More than usual," Joey agreed.
~~~~~~~~
Chris slowly came to, and found himself in Lance's arms. He jumped down, and fell flat on his face. Something was wrong. Everything was black and white. He looked down and saw two light brown, furry paws. He looked behind him and saw the rest of his short, furry body.
Chris tried to scream, but his new vocal chords would only allow a bark.
End pt. 2
"Hey Busta's okay," Lance announced.
"At least one of them is," J.C. said, his eyes glued to Chris.
Chris carefully walked around the bus, as if he were learning to walk again. Then he headed to his bunk and sat down. He clawed at the covers, messing them up and making a sort of a nest. He then laid down on them, curling into a ball.
"It's not just me, is it? He is strange, right?" J.C. asked.
"I'm seein' it," Joey replied.
"You know who else does that?" Lance asked. When he had their attention, he continued, "Busta."
"What are you saying?" Justin asked, watching Busta stumble around.
"Check this," Lance replied, watching Busta. "Hey Chris," he yelled.
While Chris made no movement, Busta immediately stopped what he was doing and looked the guys.
"So?" Joey asked. "That doesn’t prove anything."
"Busta! Come!" Lance yelled, looking at Chris.
Chris immediately jumped out of bed and ran to Lance, then sat on the floor in front of him, panting.
"Oh my God…" J.C. groaned, running a hand over his face.
~~~~~~~~
'Am I dead?' Chris wondered, looking for his human body. Then he found it, curled up on his bunk. 'So if I'm Busta…Busta's me?' Suddenly Lance called him, or what used to be his name. Once he looked at Lance, Lance called Busta, and Chris's body ran to Lance. Chris started to run also, but tripped over his extra two feet. Instead, he sat down and barked. Lance started talking to the others, then got up, coming towards Chris. Chris felt himself being lifted up by Lance, them dropped in J.C.'s lap.
~~~~~~~~
"I'm betting the lightning had something to do with this," Lance explained, getting up.
"But what happened exactly?" J.C. asked.
Lance picked up Busta and set him in J.C.'s lap as he continued, "This is now Chris Kirkpatrick."
End pt 3
They all looked at Busta, stunned. "So that's Busta?" Joey asked, pointing to Chris, who was making his way to the bathroom.
"I'm afraid so," Lance replied. Then they heard the sound of water splashing from the bathroom.
"Is he-?" Justin started.
Lance rolled his eyes, then yelled, "Busta! Don't drink out of the toilet!"
There was a pause, then another cautious lap.
"Get out of there now!" Lance ordered.
Chris's body slowly crept out to the other's, his head down. He cautiously looked up, water dripping off his chin and braids.
"Haha," Joey laughed. "Let me try. Busta, come here!"
Chris's body perked up and ran to Joey. "Good boy!" Joey praised, petting Chris's head.
"Scratch behind his ear," Justin said, smiling.
Joey laughed as he began scratching behind Chris's ears, his fingers rubbing in Chris's braids.
Chris smiled as he leaned into Joey, his leg thumping the floor. The others cracked up at Chris's actions. Out of habit, J.C. placed his hand low on Busta's side as he laughed.
~~~~~~~~~
'I'm gonna kill that dog,' Chris thought, hearing his body drink from the toilet. 'That's right,' he thought, 'You better be sorry,' he thought as he watched his body bashfully creep into the room. He watched from his perch on J.C.'s lap as the others laughed at his body thumping his leg at Joey touch.
Suddenly he felt J.C.'s icy hand low on his side, near his new manhood. He yelped, then nipped J.C.'s hand as he scrambled to get down.

End pt. 4
"Ow!" J.C. yelled, inspecting his hand. "Dumb dog!"
"That's Chris now," Justin corrected. "What happened?"
"He bit me!" J.C. replied, glaring at the small dog.
Chris turned and inspected his dog-hood, then returned J.C.'s glare.
"I think that means you touched him where another guy's never touched him," Justin laughed.
"Oh, hey man, I'm sorry," J.C. apologized, looking at Busta.
The dog sighed, then trotted over to Justin and jumped on his lap. "Good job, J.C.," Justin teased. "You hurt his feelings."
"Chris, I said I was sorry," J.C. repeated, begging the dog's forgivness.
Busta turned and buried his head in Justin's chest. "How would you like it if he touched you there?" Justin defended. "Poor Chris is all exposed, and you take advantage of him just cuz he's a dog!" Justin said, winking as he gently petted the small dog's head.
"We're all guys," J.C. argued. "He doesn't have anything to be afraid of."
Chris got up from in front of Joey and went to the door. He sat in front of it, waiting.
"Chris, you have to go out," Justin said, looking at the dog in his lap.
Lance looked outside. "It's still storming out there," he announced, feeling the cold air coming off the glass. Outside the rain clouds kept the sun hidden and threw drops of water on everything.
"Oh well," Joey said, smiling. "When you gotta go…" He got up, heading to the door. Chris turned to Joey expectantly. "You gotta pee?" he asked enthusiastically.
Chris got up and tensed, preparing to run out the door.
Joey opened the door quickly, and Chris ran outside.
~~~~~~~
Chris looked out into the rain from his warm spot on Justin's lap. He couldn't see the rain in his black and white world, but he could hear and smell it. There was a whole new world of smells and sounds. He could smell the fresh air and hear the drops of water on the ground outside, but also the faint smell of animals outside. He could hear cars rumble down the highway almost half a mile away.
He became so involved in the sound of the rain; he suddenly had to urinate extremely badly. He jumped off Justin and ran to the bathroom.
When he got there, he was hit with the harsh reality of how short he was. In front of him, stood a towering, two-foot toilet. 'Crap,' Chris thought, discouraged at his size.
End pt. 5
Near explosion, Busta jumped onto the toilet. He should have realized that living in a bus of guys, the toilet lid would be up.
~~~~~~~~
"You better go with him," Lance commented, seeing Chris search for a tree in the storm.
"Why?" Justin asked.
"Because dogs don't know anything about zippers," Lance smiled.
"Oh, yeah," Justin said, getting up. He started for the door when he heard a splash from the bathroom. Curious, he headed back and found Busta desperately trying to get out of the toilet. "What happened to you?" Justin laughed, grabbing a towel and rescuing the small dog. He started drying Busta off, when the dog jumped down and ran to the door.
~~~~~~~~~
'Dear Lord, I have to pee!' Chris screamed in his thoughts. He practically fell from Justin's grasp and raced to the door, running into it in an attempt to stop.
Justin was close behind, and opened the door. Chris flew out into the rain, searching for a semi-private place to go. He passed his body, who was soon accompanied by Justin.
Chris found a suitable tree, and lifted his leg on it.
Then he fell on his side.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Busta, hold still! The more squirm, the longer this is gonna take!" Justin complained, getting cold, wet, and miserable. Chris was jumping around while Justin tried to take his pants off. Justin finally got Chris's pants down, begging forgiveness in his mind as he then pulled down Chris's boxers. He blushed and turned away as Chris's body began urinating on the tree in front of him. "I guess you can handle it," Justin said, heading back to the bus.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chris had finally achieved the task of relieving himself by squatting into the wet grass. He contentedly looked around, and spotted his body, also relieving it's self.
The thunder was almost defining as he trotted over to his body. The rain was still pounding down, causing weird effects in his dog vision. His body was now pulling his pants up, but not quite grasping the concept of buttons and zippers.
Then they heard Justin calling for him and Busta.
End pt 6
"I think they're done," Lance said, looking out the window.
"So did you see his-" Joey started.
"Shut up," Justin snapped, blushing. "I didn't look."
"Whatever," J.C. laughed.
"Busta! Chris!" Justin yelled into the storm.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The two ran side by side, water flying behind them.
Chris had a strange, powerful feeling of Déjà vu; seconds before a loud crack rang through his ears and everything turned a brilliant white, then went black.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chris slowly came to, feeling extremely tired. He was back on the bus, still soaking wet.
He took in his surroundings, relieved to see them in color. He raised his hands, also relieved to see hands instead of paws. He let his hands fall back to his stomach as he sighed and relaxed, sprawled out on his back on his bunk.
Then he looked next to him and became concerned when he saw the others kneeled over Busta, calling Chris. The small dog remained unconscious, and the guys were getting upset.
Confused, Chris sat up. "Hey guys, I'm right here," he announced slowly, his head pounding.
The others looked up, their eyes red. "Chris?" Justin asked.
"What happened?" Chris asked, rubbing his head.
"You kinda had an out of body experience," Justin smiled as the others laughed and rolled their eyes.
