"Okay guys, I'm off!" Joey said on his way out the door.

"Hey, you forgot your-"

Joey slammed the door, already well on his way to a local club.

"-Movie," J.C. finished, holding up the movie Joey had rented that was due back at midnight. Tonight.

"Oh well, tough luck," Chris said sarcastically, taking the movie from J.C.

"Movie time!" Justin smiled as Chris put in the Blockbuster copy of Lake Placid.

"Tonight's movie, courtesy of Joe," Chris smiled, sitting down in between Justin and Lance.

Joey drove to the new club, Razzles. It had opened a few months ago, and it was already becoming the most popular club in town. He didn't have a problem going by himself, although it was more fun with the other guys. But this time he hoped to find a girl, and the last thing he needed was the others there to screw up his 'performance'.

Joey pulled into the parking lot, which was full of other teenagers going in and out of the club. Joey blended in perfectly with his red hair and stylish clothes, and the man at the door let him in with out checking his ID.

Inside the club, strobe lights flashed brilliant colors and people were busy dancing and drinking. Joey joined in the dancing, going through the moves to other dances they learned for videos. He quickly became the center of attention, and had more girls than he knew what to do with. Lots of them were pretty, but too drunk for him to tell whether he really liked them or not.

After his skills became less amusing, he retired to the bar and ordered a drink. That's when he saw her. The most beautiful waitress in the whole place. She had shining blonde hair, and as he saw when she got closer, amazing blue/green eyes. He just had to talk to her.

Joey jumped up, forgetting his drink on the bar. He walked quickly to reach her before she passed him. "Hey," he called over the music.

The young girl stopped and faced him, then smiled. "Hey, are you Joey Fatone of Nsync?" she asked.

"Why yes I am," he beamed. "And who might you be?"

"I'm Melissa," she replied, beginning to walk backwards. "I have to get rid of these drinks, but then we can sit down somewhere, okay?"

"Yeah, sure. I'll be waiting," Joey smiled, showing his adorable teddy-bear face.

Melissa smiled then went back to delivering drinks. Joey found a table in the corner and sat down to wait for the stunning girl. He had a feeling about her, and she was probably the only girl in the place that wasn't off-her-ass drunk. True it was a club, but how was he suppose to flirt with a girl if they couldn't even stand on their own two feet? Melissa approached his table and plopped down in the seat across from him. "So, what brings a pop star like yourself to Razzles?"

"Hot women like yourself," he replied, smiling.

She smiled and looked away. "Thank you," she said. "You're pretty fine yourself."

Joey laughed to himself, liking this girl more and more. "I've been here a couple times, and I haven't seen you here before," he said truthfully. If he had seen her before, they would be dating right now.

"I work at Blockbuster too," she said, watching another waitress go by. "For extra money."

Joey smiled, not finding any fault with that. At least she was honest and worked two jobs instead of bumming it off someone else. It showed self-confidence and strength- "Shit!" he exclaimed in mid-thought. "I forgot my movie!"

"What?" she laughed, watching his face go from the cute smile that he wore so naturally to a look of pure shock.

"Lake Placid! I forgot it! Oh my God, I already have a fifteen-dollar fine, too! God I'm stupid!"

Melissa laughed. "Don't worry about it, I'll take care of it when I go in tomorrow. It happens to everybody."

"Really?" Joey asked.

"Sure. But you'll still owe fifteen dollars," she warned. "I'm not going to get fired over you," she teased.

'I like this girl's attitude,' Joey thought. 'Not afraid to speak her mind.' "Thank you so much," Joey replied, his smile returning.

"No problem," Melissa smiled. They remained silent for a moment, both of them looking at the dance floor.

Then they both looked to each other and asked, "You wanna dance?"

At that moment, Joey could see sparks fly. Not just sparks, fireworks. And he liked it.

Joey crept in the hotel room at one in the morning. The lights were all on, but the others were sleeping peacefully. Joey glanced at the TV and saw his tape hanging out of the VCR. "Assholes," he whispered teasingly.

He crept across the room that he and Justin were sharing and looked at the others on his way by. Justin was sleeping with his head back on the couch, and Chris fell asleep with his head resting on Lance's shoulder. J.C. sat by himself, drooling on the arm on the chair.

Joey laughed, then set down Melissa's phone number and picked up his camcorder, pressing the record button devilishly.
