Chapter Two
Mariana went back to Christian's house and he was not home, but there was a note that said he went to buy some Coke, so she sat on the kitchen table and called her friend Katie, who was in LA.
K- Hello?
M- hey, Katie guess what?
K- what?
M-I ran into Nick Carter in the mall!!!
K-OMG, are you serious?
M- yep, and that's not the best part, he asked me to go out with him and the boys to a club tonight!!
Just when she was saying that, Christian had walked into the house and into the kitchen...
C-WHAT??
Christian was a little over protective and violent too, once he had hit her because she had slept over at a friends house and didn't tell him.
M- umm, Katie I'll have to call you back, ok?
She turned around to an angry and shocked Christian.
M- Hey Christi...
C-what's this about you going out with...who are you going out with?
He haden't heard the part where she said that she had met Nick Carter.
M-Umm, -she mumbled- the backstreet boys
C-who??
M-The Backstreet Boys, alright?
C- what? how? How did this happen?
M- ok, don't freak out, I ran into Nick Carter on the mall and we started talking and he asked me to go out with him and the other guys to a club, that's all, it's not a date or anything.
Inside she was thinking 'it's sooo a date'.
M- I'm just going out with them, that's all.
C-Of course it's a date!! -he was starting to yell- Why would he ask you out??!! I don't think they invite all of their fans to clubs!!
M-ok, just calm down, I'm just going out to have some fun with them that's all, don't you realize that I'm going to meet the Backstreet Boys? you should be happy for me, you know I love them
C- well, I'm starting to think that you love those gays more than you love me!!
M- first of all, they are not gay, and you know that!! And second of all, I'm starting to have second thoughts about this relationship too, I thought you understood me, and now I see that you don't, I used to think you were the one for me but you are not, if you don't understand me, if you don't understand how important this is to me, you are not the one for me...
And they kept fighting for about 2 hours, other things came up like that she always flirted with every guy she met, even his friends, which was not true at all, and other things.
It was 6pm when she had got home from the mall, and now it was 7:57pm and she had totally forgot - because of the fight - that Nick was going to pick her up at 8pm, when all of a sudden she heard the door bell ring...
She went to open the door and Nick was standing there with a rose
M-hi
N- you are not ready yet?
M-No, something came up and I didn't have time to change
N-oh...
M- could you give me the address of the club? I'll go change and go later
N-oh, don't worry I'll wait while you change
M- no, you go, I'll meet you guys there
N-ok, here
He gave her a card of the club.
M-ok, I'll go as soon as I am ready
N-ok, then... this is for you.
He gave her the rose and said 'c-ya later' a little disappointed
M-bye.
She turned around and went straight to her room, not even looking at Christian who was standing in the kitchen door with a not so nice look.
She got to her room and got ready to go to the club.
When she went downstairs Christian was in the living room watching tv, when he saw her come in the living room he turned the tv off and stood up
C- Look baby, I'm sorry, I...
M-I don't wanna hear it, I just... I'll leave tomorrow morning ok? I can't see you in the face anymore. I thought you loved me
C- I do love you, what are you saying?
M- you don't, you would understand if you loved me...and I'm sorry to say this but I don't love you anymore, so I'm breaking up with you.
She said that walking to the door and opening it, she was looking at the floor while she said it, and when she looked up all she saw was hurt on Christian's eyes
M- I'm sorry.
She walked out the door, took a taxi to the club and forgot about Christian forever.
