Chapter 3*******Early The Next Morning
"Hey Littrell! My parents are letting me skip school today so I could see you."
"I was hoping to spend a little time with you alone after Autumn and Summer tried hooking us up."
"I'm so sorry! That must have been embarrassing for you!"
"I like you more than all the other guys in this world put together and it's not like they knew I was leaving. Why should I be embarrassed?"
"I dunno. I just though you would be."
The looked into each other's eyes while holding hands. Brian leaned forward to kiss Leigh but she backed off.
"Brian I'm sorry. You're leaving and I won't get to see you. If I kiss you, I'll be hurting more than I am now. I just can't do it."
"Flight 217 to Orlando now boarding."
"That's my flight. I'm gonna miss ya babe."
"I'll miss ya too. Promise me you'll call."
"I promise."
"OK, good luck and goodbye!"
"Thanx! Bye Leigh!"
Brian left to board the plane. Leigh realized that would be the last time she'd see him, wrestle with him in his backyard, spend late nights in the park looking at the stars and the occassional fireworks, and that yesterday was the last day they'd spend at Tates Creek teasing all of their teachers.
"Things are definately gonna change," Leigh whispered to herself.
