Nick and Julia laid down to watch a TV show since she was exhausted. The next thing she knew, she was waking up and the alarm clock read 11 pm. She groaned and turned towards Nick's bed to see he wasn't there. She got up and walked out on the balcony, overlooking the beach.
She peered out and saw Nick sitting in the sand looking out at the ocean. She threw on her sandals and headed down to the beach. She walked up and sat down next to him.
"Hey, what are you doing out here?" she said rubbing her arms to stay warm.
"I couldn't sleep and I didn't want to wake you up." he said.
Julia smiled at how considerate he was.
"The ocean looks so pretty tonight." she commented.
Nick nodded and put his arm around her warming her up. Julia laid her head on his shoulder and they both peacefully sat there, listening to the waves.
"I love you Julia." Nick said casually.
"I love you too." she smiled.
This time, she didn't have to even think twice about it. She knew she loved him deeply. Nick leaned down and kissed her softly.
"I'm gonna love you every day of my life." she said quietly.
Nick smiled and looked at her.
"I'll love you more than that."
