Even though Nick was half asleep he laughed, ''Not like that! I had a dream that I couldn't find you and I just wanted your company." he said more softly.
She climbed in his bunk, that could hardly fit one person, nevermind two.
"I'm here Nick, don't worry.'' she said soothingly.
He wrapped his arms around her and she laid her head down on the pillow. They moved around a few times, then they got comfortable.
Hayley brushed a piece of hair out of Nick's eyes. And to her surprise, they opened.
''Hayley?'' he whispered.
''Yeah?'' she replied.
''You make my life complete.'' he said.
Hayley thought she was going to die of happiness.
''Nick, you do the same for mine.'' she said meaning it.
They were quiet for a minute and they were both thinking.
''Hey Hayley?'' he asked.
''Yeah, Nick I'm still here'' she laughed.
''I'm in love with you.'' he whispered.
It felt like fireworks were set off in her heart.
''Nick...'' she asked to see is he was listening.
''Yeah?'' he said.
''I am so in love with you'' she said.
He hugged her tightly knowing this was one of the happiest days in his life. And they fell asleep in each other's arms.
