Part 3

It was dead quiet in the house, which was quite novel, she knew. There was always music going, or the TV, or a video game, or even just the dog wrestling with a toy of his. But now, it was quiet. So quiet that she was still in that lazy state half between consciousness and sleep. It was a wonderful place, really, she loved it, but she wasn't sure that was right. It was TOO quiet. Almost like...

"Baby...."

She had been waiting for it. No, it COULDN'T have been time to get up yet.

"Baby, come on..."

She let out what sounded like a grunt to her still asleep mind and kept her eyes closed. She felt the bed shift below her as he climbed on the bed and straddled her back, his warm breath nearing her neck.

"Neen, baby, time to get up now..."

Jeanine squeezed her eyes shut tighter, convinced that if she just kept them closed she wouldn't have to wake up.

"Jeanine, let's go, its nearly four and Suzanne's party is at eight, you said you had things to do today."

"Nooo..." She mumbled, turning and putting her face into the pillows. As long as she stayed in bed, asleep, nothing would be the matter.

"Yes, time to get up. Come on, I've let you sleep long enough," her boyfriend insisted, turning her over on her back and pressing his lips to her neck. "Jeanine," he sang into her skin as he kissed her lightly.

A smile spread across her face and her hand met the back of his head as his lips traveled along her collar bone. Now THIS was the way to wake up.

"Jeanine," he repeated softly, his lips at the edge of her camisole. His head lifted and his hands pushed up the hem at her waist, his lips soon touching the warm skin of her stomach.

"Mmm, Brian," she mumbled, threading his hair through her fingers. She let out a light laugh as his tongue teased her navel, and then it turned into a low moan as his mouth went lower to meet the waistband of an old pair of his boxer shorts.

"You up yet?" He whispered on her skin, leaving her abdomen and running his hands up her sides, gently pushing up the camisole until it was forgotten on the other side of the room.

"Uh-uh," Jeanine negated, her eyes still closed. She gasped when she felt his tongue circle her nipples and his hands slowly massaging her breasts.

"You want something like this to wake you up?" Brian mumbled, lowering fully onto her body and resting his hips in the cradle of hers gently.

Jeanine let out a sigh and found one of her legs wrapping around his waist involuntarily, pulling him closer. "Uh-huh," she affirmed.

His body lifted off hers for a moment and she let out a whimper, not welcoming the cool air as it rushed across her body. Seconds later, he covered her body again, but this time, she noticed something different.

"These need to come off," he whispered in her ear as he tugged at the boxers still barely on her hips. They were gone and then he settled back in the cradle of her hips, both of them sighing with the satisfaction of skin on skin, his body inside of hers.

And Jeanine got the best wake up call ever.

Stephanie let out a giggle as Kevin pinched her side on his way to the kitchen. After they had their fun in the living room, they looked around and realized it hadn't been the best idea in the world to throw their clothes around. One lamp had shattered, another knocked over, and the candy bowl was face down on the carpet and jellybeans were everywhere. They weren't sure how it got on the floor, but after getting dressed, Stephanie set to the job of picking them all back up.

She was bent at the waist trying to coax her cat out from underneath the desk when the doorbell rang. Glancing from hidden cat to front door, she knew she had to get the cat out before she got stuck under there and she started howling. That cat's howl was not the most pleasant experience.

"Kevin, can you get the door, Henry won't come out from under the desk," Stephanie called, bending to her knees and setting down the candy bowl that had been in her hand an arm's length away so she wouldn't knock it over again. It was half-full at this point, she didn't want to do the job more than once.

Bending further down to look beneath the desk, she heard Kevin's footsteps echo behind her on the hardwood floor of the hallway, then stopping behind her at the doorway.

"You know, the first thing I see is your ass in the air, and then I see the bowl of jellybeans. I can't help but think they'd make good toys," he said seriously.

Stephanie's mouth dropped open as she looked back at him, shocked. "Kevin!"

Kevin laughed and bent down to her, kissing her quickly. "Just a thought," he iterated as the doorbell rang again. His footsteps echoed away and Stephanie shook her head, sighing as she bent back down to get Henry.

"Kevin, is there a reason Stephanie has her ass in the air?"

"Shut up, Nick," Stephanie mumbled as she spotted Henry's eyes shining in the shadows, thinking once again that she hated the black fur.

"You know I like to see her ass, she puts it in the air, I see it better," Kevin joked, coming up behind Stephanie and bumping against her.

"Kevin! OW!" Stephanie exclaimed, withdrawing her hand from beneath the desk as Henry scratched her hand and ran, a streak of black across the carpet and out to the hall.

"Aww, baby, you ok?" Kevin was suddenly serious as the scratches turned bright red and blood seeped through.

"Dammit, no!" Stephanie exclaimed.

"Damn cat," Kevin muttered, pressing a kiss to her hand before helping her stand and to the kitchen to get it clean.

"You're just angry that my cat beat the shit out of yours," Stephanie argued.

"Quincy is significantly older than Henry, he has an excuse," Kevin rationalized.

"No, Henry is just a damn super cat," Nick said, sitting on a chair and pulling Becky into his lap.

"I'll agree with that, she's sweet but DAMN can she be evil," Becky added.

"She's not evil, she's smart," Stephanie defended, holding a wet paper towel to her hand as Kevin disappeared to get bandaids. She glanced at the clock, then back at Nick and Becky, who were both slightly disheveled.

"Why do I get this strange feeling you both are hiding something?" Stephanie hinted.

Becky hid her face in Nick's shoulder and Nick let out a laugh, looking away. "You might say that."

Stephanie raised a single eyebrow. "What happened."

"Well, you know when I said on the phone that Nick made us late and then he started doing what caused us to be late again in the truck?" Becky started.

"Yeah," Stephanie said slowly. She could take an educated guess as to where this was going.

"Well, to make a long story short, we were kinda-"

Nick cut Becky off. "We were bangin' and the traffic broke up and people honked at us. It wasn't like they could see what we were doing," he said, his face matching Becky's in the hue of beet red.

Stephanie couldn't help but laugh. "I'm sorry, but, my God, that's too funny."

"It is not, its embarrassing!" Becky exclaimed, hitting Nick's arm as he started laughing too.

"Baby, it wasn't embarrassing at the time and you know it," he managed to get out.

Stephanie was afraid to ask.

"I-I-Icamewhiletheywerehonkingatus," Becky let out in a rush.

Stephanie stifled back laughter as Kevin walked back in the room and sat down in front of her to bandage her hand. He gave her a strange look as she battled to keep it in, but couldn't as she looked up and saw Nick with much the same expression as she had. The two burst out laughing, with Becky laughing too, but beet red with embarrassment still.

"What'd I miss?" Kevin asked. It just made them all laugh harder.
