Nick pulled her into another deep kiss. “What do you think I’m doing, babe?” He reached for the hem of her shirt.
Again, she pushed him away. “Is this the only reason you want me living with you? So you can get into my pants?” Disgusted, she slid out of bed and walked out onto the balcony, leaving Nick in shock.
After several minutes, he came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. He leaned in close to her and whispered, “Lauren, you know that’s not true. I’m sorry.”
Lauren turned around and looked into his eyes. “Then why did you do that?”
“Because I love you and I want to show you,” Nick replied sincerely. “I’m not just trying to get into your pants, Lauren. I want to make love to you before I leave to go on tour.”
Lauren was speechless for a moment before she pressed her lips to his. When they finally pulled apart, she smiled. “You really meant that, Nick?”
“Of course, babe. I love you with all my heart and soul. Now let me show you with my body.”
Several seconds went by before Lauren hesitantly replied. “Okay.” He smiled and lifted her off the ground in a hug before leading her back into the bedroom. As she lay down on the bed, she stopped him. “Wait…be gentle?” she said softly.
“I will,” Nick whispered before drowning her in a loving kiss.
