*~*~*~*~*~*Chapter 7*~*~*~*~*~*

"You remember what happened at the club, so we don’t have to get into that.

AJ started to worry after half an hour and started to look for you. When he didn’t find you he called Kevin. It seems as though you always call him when something is wrong, right? Kevin didn’t believe him at first but agreed to come to the club. They searched for you a while and asked people if they had seen you. There were people who saw you and Sandra exit the club and Kevin started to think that you had taken her home"

Nick interrupted her.

"I would never do that, he know that"

"He knows, but he didn’t know where else to look for you, so they went to your place, and all they found was an empty house. They started to call your all your friends and even your family, but nothing. Finally, they called the police. By then you were already in the old factory in Naples, and all traces of you were gone. The police didn’t believe them, they thought that you, who can get any girl you want, had gone to her place and…well, you know. Your friends agreed to wait 24 hours more, just to see if you showed up. 24 hours later, you were still gone. Now, the police started working, reluctantly but they started. Of course they couldn’t keep it a secret, so 2 days after you were kidnapped, the press found out. And you can imagine the media-circus. They were, or are, I should say, everywhere. Your family came from Cali and they’re staying at your house, and so are your friends. They wanted to be there so if you or the persons who had you could call. The media found out where you live, and now there are tents and trailers all over the place. It looks like a campingarea. Well, the big break-through came when AJ called your cell-phone. They had done that before of course, but he tried again and again. He is the one who has taken this hardest, I think. He blames himself for encouraging you to go with Sandra, and for not starting to look for you sooner. He seems to find comfort in calling your cell-phone and hearing your voice at the answering machine. But this time he didn’t hear your recorded voice. He heard a girl"

"Sandra!" Nick exclaimed. Stacey nodded and continued.

"She didn’t mean to answer, she just did it automatically. When she heard AJ’s voice she shut it down as soon as she could. AJ was devastated, he thought that he could have convinced her to talk to him, but he was so excited. He woke the whole house up and called the police to tell them what happened. The police tried to call a couple of times but Sandra had shut it down. AJ was, as I said devastated, and he called once again to try to convince her to tell them where you were. He left a message and she heard it later. He told her how much he loved you and begged her to tell him where you were. He cried and I think that’s what made her do what she did. She called him back. That was when she signed her own death"

"How can you know about this. That AJ cried and so…" Nick asked. Without a word she handed him his cell-phone. He took it and looked at it. "Funny" he thought. "It looks the same" He pressed some buttons to hear the voice-message. With trembling hands he pressed the cell-phone against his ear.

"He..hello? I know you are there…please answer me…you have Nick’s phone… do you have Nick too? Please…I love him, please tell me where he is. He is like my brother, y’know…I beg you, I will give you money or whatever you want, just tell me where he is…we all miss him. His family is here. His little brothers and sisters are walking around here crying all the time, is that fair? You know what, you don’t even have to tell me where he is, just let me know that he is alright…that he is alive so I can tell his family that. Please?"
